Survey

[edit]

Hi Vanessa!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! A discussion is taking place as to whether the article The Liaison between Facebook and Newspapers is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Liaison between Facebook and Newspapers until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Guillaume2303 (talk) 09:30, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vanessa. I've moved this article into your userspace to avoid it being deleted, and updated the link on your course page to reflect the move. You can now find your article at User:Vanessa_Howard/The_Liaison_between_Facebook_and_Newspapers. The concern raised by editors about this article was that it seemed more like an essay than an encyclopedia article, and was against our policy on original research. Please let me know if you have any questions. Nikkimaria (talk) 19:51, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
