Hey!
[edit]I've got a request. Could you collaborate with me on Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" article? I am attempting to elevate it to Featued Article Status. Stefani's "Cool" has already earned this honour. —Hollow Wilerding 21:22, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
- Well I would appreciate it if you could check for European track listings and to make any corrections to the formats that are currently in the Hollaback article. Also, would it be possible if you could help expand the "Composition and meaning" section? Much thanks. —Hollow Wilerding 23:07, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
- Another good idea would be to search for the New Zealand peak position of "Hollaback Girl". Thanks! —Hollow Wilerding 13:15, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
Hello, would it be possible for you to locate the track listings of major "Luxurious" singles releases? It would be appreciated. :) —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 15:48, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for retrieving the formats and track listings! Are those the only major ones or are there any others? —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 21:52, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
- Would it be possible if you helped me in locating the place where the music video for "Luxurious" was filmed? Thanks. —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 02:53, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks much! Your help is appreciated! —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 20:30, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- Now that we've located the city where the music video was filmed, could you help me retrieve two good images from the video? The images cannot have any icons on them (TRL, MuchMusic, etc.) as that is copyright infrigment. Thanks for your help again! —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 23:24, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
- The image of Stefani and Slim Thug is excellent; however, the one of her applying the make-up to her face is a bit blurry. Could you perhaps find one where she is lying in the thousands of candy? I'm in your debt. Thanks. —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 13:48, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
That's odd. I hadn't noticed that you inserted an image of Stefani lying in the candy into the article. I like it, but the only problem is that the quality is poor and it is a bit blurry. I loathe being a burden on you, but could you attempt to find an image of better quality? Sorry for the trouble. —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 13:51, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
- I'm also curious to know if you can help me expand the "Composition and inspiration" section of "Luxurious". It is one of the most important parts of the article. —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 15:06, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
- Once again, much thanks! —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 17:59, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
I noticed that you appear to have an interest in the Irish. Any particular reason as to why? —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 22:04, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
- Well your interest is certainly intriguing. Fabulous committment! —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 03:33, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
Have you had any success attempting to locate the image of Stefani surrounded by the candy in "Luxurious"? I would also appreciate it if you helped me expand "Composition and inspiration". It really requires more information. —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 21:24, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
- Hey, it's good, I might just add that to the article! The inspiration of the song that you have provided is excellent! How about anything regarding the composition of "Luxurious"? If we cannot locate any, then I'm going to have to start tweaking Stefani's quotes to transform them into "brilliant prose". —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 18:09, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
- Your contributions to the Luxurious article have been simply fabulous! I think the "Composition and inspiration" section is almost complete... do you believe that there are perhaps a few other knick-knacks we could search for? Maybe some other musical instruments included in the song or a few notes or majors/minors? —Hollow Wilerding . . . (talk) 15:34, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit]No problem. I was just looking at Special:Whatlinkshere/Welland to see if any links needed to be disambiguated in favour of "my" (or "ours"?) Welland, Ontario :) Qviri 20:07, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
Kylie Minogue
[edit]Hi, screenshot from "I Believe In You"? - sure. I'll try to get one within the next couple of days. I can't beef up the section about the video though as I don't know much about it, but I'll happily make a screenshot. Rossrs
- Well I had a bit of free time so I added a screenshot. I hope you like it. I've also added a bit to the paragraph. Watching the video I realized there were three, not two, costume changes and four distinct scenes, so I just added that. I've left the image quite small until the section is large enough to accomodate it. Rossrs 12:18, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Image Tags
[edit]You updated a lot of great Madonna album covers such as [[Image:Madonna-Bye-Bye-Baby-328801.jpg]] and [[Image:Madonna-Bad-Girl-14056.jpg]], however you didn't use image tags (I have added tags to some of the images). In the future you can tag images with {{album-cover}} or any other appropriate tags listed at Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags#Fair_use. Thanks! - AKeen 01:17, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

- On a non-encyclopedic topic, what are your favourite Goldfrapp songs and what do you think of their style of electronica? —Eternal Equinox | talk 00:07, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'm actually listening to "Strict Machine" right now. My favourites include this song, "Lovely 2 C U", "Let It Take You", "Deep Honey", "Number 1", and "Utopia". I own both Black Cherry and Supernature but have never heard Felt Mountain; I have it heard that it is a good record though. Before hearing about Goldfrapp, my interest in electronica was very limited, but while on vacation in Hungary during the past summer, I heard "Ooh La La" on MTV Europe. I remembered the song when I returned and downloaded it. Eventually, I decided to just purchase Supernature, which, surprisingly, was released up here in Canada shortly after its UK release. I feel that their style is amazingly solid, because it is not similar or different to that of Eiffel 65 or Kylie Minogue. It is very unique and takes me in. The synth guitars are frequently pleasant. Oh, by the way, I enjoy "Satin Chic" as well! —Eternal Equinox | talk 00:20, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Giving You Up
[edit]Hi, Sorry to say I can't help with a screenshot for "Giving You Up". I have the Ultimate Kylie DVD which has all her major videos, but it stops at "I Believe in You"... unfortunately. Rossrs 09:13, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Killingheidi.jpg
[edit]This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Killingheidi.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Ta bu shi da yu 13:59, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
Underneath-it-All, we appeared to have had an edit confliction on Image:MirandaOtto.png. If you dislike the fair use rationale I supplied for the image, then feel free to revert to your previous edit. Anyway, I think the article should be expanded to include critiqué about her film performances. Any ideas or other suggestions? I've also posted this message on Talk:Miranda Otto. —Eternal Equinox | talk 18:49, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Hello, I'm attempting to help Supernature reach featured article status, and I was wondering if you could help me search for the Canadian and Irish sales figures? I see that the U.S. and UK figures have been located, which is excellent. I'd appreciate your help, greatly. Thank you! —Eternal Equinox | talk 02:54, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, thank you. I'm going to keep looking out for the figures as well. Do you by chance own Supernature? As long as it can be certified gold in Canada, at least we'll have a distinct idea of its sales. —Eternal Equinox | talk 13:30, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
My girlfriend also bought the imported version because she was also unable to wait, but perhaps I could go out and purchase the edition with "Beautiful". After all, I am a fan too. Yes, it's true, we'll have to wait some time. Do you know what position Supernature is at this week on the Canadian albums chart? It's difficult to locate since the chart is only comprised of the top 100. —Eternal Equinox | talk 13:38, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- It's worth buying for "Beautiful", it's such a great song, I burnt it off of my friend's copy. No, I don't know what chart position it's in this week, but I'm still trying to search for an archive or something for the Canadian charts. Most other countries have them. — Underneath-it-All 14:02, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- I understand, good luck! I hope one of us can locate it. —Eternal Equinox | talk 14:23, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the links. I'm going to try and mold it into the article when I have time (although not tonight since I am going out). —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:32, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- The links you provided have been of much use. However, I still believe that there may be a few portions of the recording process which are missing. Would it be possible for you to locate perhaps one more source? Of course, you are obligied to ignore this message altogether, but I'd really appreciate it. —Eternal Equinox | talk 22:31, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Hello. Although some versions may vary from one another, could you check the length of your copy of Supernature? I would appreciate it. —Eternal Equinox | talk 21:36, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- I have a question about the article on Strict Machine. The information you provided states that the single reached number thirty-three on the Canadian singles chart, yet this website which was last updated on March 22nd states that it reached number twenty-six on the chart. —Eternal Equinox | talk 22:18, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, it is likely that the information is incorrect. I am going to replace it with the data from the MariahCharts website. —Eternal Equinox | talk 23:54, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
Hello again. I practically live here now. No, just kidding. I've referenced the Supernature article to my best and am unable to identify any other information and believe that "Making of the album" is complete. Could you take a quick look at it? Do you think there are any other references required? —Eternal Equinox | talk 02:25, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you, now I'll just put the section in a specific order with time. I'm going to begin work on the promotion now. One of the only actions that Goldfrapp conducted which I am aware of is that they performed on Top of the Pops. Are you aware of any other promotion methods? —Eternal Equinox | talk 14:55, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Cover artwork (and other stuff...)
[edit]I really like the cover artwork for Fly Me Away. Interesting, would you not agree? It's a very unique style that Goldfrapp and Gregory took into consideration. —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:12, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Do you know of any websites it will premiere on? I am positive that it won't be receiving much rotation in North America, if any at all. —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:19, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- I hope that it appears on one of the websites. If you are capable of collecting more information, please don't refrain from telling me. :) —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:24, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hello, thanks for the link and the information. I'd also love to see Goldfrapp live in concert, and I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult purchasing tickets considering their fan-base is relatively low here. Excellent discovery, thank you so much. —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:16, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
Hello, I was going to begin work on the Crazy in Love (Beyoncé song) article, and I was hoping if you would be able to locate all of the formats and track listings? As it currently stands, there are only a few in the article. Thank you. —Eternal Equinox | talk 12:46, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the formats/track listings! I was just wondering you are aware of whether you could locate the Canadian version? Thanks. —Eternal Equinox | talk 19:23, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- It is likely, yes. —Eternal Equinox | talk 15:19, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, is there any news on "Fly Me Away"? I'm too lazy to create a new header for this discussion. :P —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:44, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

I've yet to see the "Fly Me Away" video since I've been doing other things this past week. However, I'm going to access it right now and attempt to locate another website with a better-quality version, that is, if one is actually accessible. —Eternal Equinox | talk 14:46, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- Oh dear. I'm surprised at the rather low chart position it attained... —Eternal Equinox | talk 01:19, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- The video has not been released? Oh! I... didn't know that. Well then, perhaps you're right, but I too wish it had gathered a more commendable debut. I'd assume that it is going to eventually ascend the UK Singles Chart, but more unusual circumstances have occurred. Do you by chance own the "Number 1" CD single that was solicited here in Canada? —Eternal Equinox | talk 01:32, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I must agree with you. It is not common for a record label to conduct an official single-release in that sort of manner, especially since "Fly Me Away" is being promoted as the fourth. At this point, you would figure that they were attempting to press sales, moreover, since Supernature had been incapable of debuting at number one on the albums chart. —Eternal Equinox | talk 01:39, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit]I would suggest expanding the lead section slightly and removing the "famous for" in the information box, which may not be NPOV. —Eternal Equinox | talk 15:44, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- Of course I will. Once I complete a few quick edits, I'll begin to rewrite some of the sections. —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:40, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- What play did Otto perform in to be casted into her first feature film? Currently, the articles fails to determine this. You see, rather than "she appeared in a play", the actual production would be preferrable. —Eternal Equinox | talk 22:37, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Song article lead sections
[edit]Hi. I notice your work on song articles and it is very good! Well done. Just a couple of things I noticed about your edits, e.g. "Wisemen" is a rock–soul song written by British singer-songwriter James Blunt, Jimmy Hogarth and Sacha Skarbek for Blunt's debut album Back to Bedlam (2004). The suggestion that Blunt (or the writer and performer of any song, that is if the performer wrote/co-wrote it) is a "singer-songwriter" is already inferred by the statement that the song was written by him, and essentially we are reminding the reader of the same thing twice in the same sentence, which I feel is slightly jarring. Also, per WP:CONTEXT, the article on album is not relevant to the context of a song article (unless there is a discussion of albums in general in the article for some reason and the link is needed to help readers understand the discussion), so the album link should probably be left out. Ignore this message if you wish; this is just as much to do with personal preference as it does with anything else, but I hope you can see where I'm coming from on those points. Thanks!
