Daura, Nigeria moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Daura, Nigeria, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Tank u. As for the article Daura Nigeria, the reason why i left it without improving or citing is that i later realize that the article already existed with Daura and there was no need for me to continue writing on it. As for the other article, Bauchi Gubernatorial Election; i didn't actually copy everything and paste. I tried much as possible to write them in my own english and i've cited the site which i obtain the info. Not knowing that the cite does not have a copyright license, as I went through tge copyright guidelines and I am conversant with it. You can as well tell me what to do. Am i to let it for deletelion it or improve it with in the right way. Thank u Uncle Bash007 (talk) 16:36, 2 April 2021 (UTC) Hello.. Good evening. The article Lists of Nigerian abbreviations has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced and unlinked list

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Your contributed article, Kananan hukumomin Najeriya

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Kananan hukumomin Najeriya. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Local government areas of Nigeria. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Local government areas of Nigeria. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. 2A01:4C8:A1:F08E:D1E4:8977:5C94:D53F (talk) 12:20, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Local government areas of Nigeria, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Taraba. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

November 2021

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Superstar (2021 film). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Speedy deletion nomination of Banna Nicole

[edit]

Hello Uncle Bash007,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Xx236, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Banna Nicole, for deletion, because there's already a page about that topic at Nichole Banna. Please don't be discouraged; we appreciate your effort in creating new articles. To avoid this in the future, consider using the search function to find pages that already cover what you want to write about.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Xx236}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Nichole Banna, again

[edit]

I've moved the article to Draft:Nichole Banna for now so the sourcing can be addressed. We really can't use junk scrapers like informationflare, thefamousnaija, 360dopes, or keninfo for biographies, or anything else for that matter. These are simple scraper/blog sites that either copy information from other sources without validation, or just make things up. Phrases like "Banna is one of the wealthiest actresses in the United States of America as she has an estimated net worth of $250,000 as of 2021" or "Nichole is a woman of average size who appears to be quite tall in her photos, relative to her surroundings" are good clues that this is not meeting our criteria for reliable sources. Frankly, anything that mentions estimates of "net worth" for anything other than the ultra-rich with large public holdings is nonsense at best. Additionally, when sourcing films that the actress is in, we're looking for something that mentions her explicitly - not just a link to a directory listing for the movie that does not list cast. Control copyright icon Hello Uncle Bash007! Your additions to Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. Your draft article, Draft:Shuga (season 4)

[edit]

Hello, Uncle Bash007. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Shuga".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Ways to improve Sarata Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi

[edit]

Hello, Uncle Bash007,

Thank you for creating Sarata Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

This article needs more references to satisfy notability for biography of living persons. What is needed are references giving significant coverage about this person, and independent of them, in multiple secondary sources which are reliable - WP:RS; that is your guide.

You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources.
Pages of photographs, mentions of this person on pages about other topics do not garner notability.

A more comprehensive guide is WP:BASIC ... People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. Lack of attention to the above is likely to mean that the article may not be suitable for inclusion.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Goldsztajn, and I thank you for your contributions.

Hello Onel5969 TT me</sup,

I think the reason why these articles lacks more sources is due to the fact that there were very little coverage of topics related to Africa and more especially northern Nigeria on the internet and perhaps that was among the reason why I want to feel this gap. There was a an observation made by user:NikosLikomitros [[2]] that Hausa Wikipedia is missing vital articles on information about our original culture, people, history, geography among other important topics. I also attend several Wiki hours emphasizing on document African knowledge on Wikipedia. These were the reason why I focus on writing articles about people from my state of origin, and from my experience they are quiet notable for a stand alone page on Wikipedia. I have not being paid nor asked by anyone to write these articles on Wikipedia. I edit independently and voluntarily towards the growth of Wikipedia. I also snap the photos added on the pages by myself as I am a photographer and was able to attend a meeting in the State House of Assembly recently, where many dignitaries had attended also. This gave me the opportunity to have direct pictures of these two peopleUncle Bash007 (talk) 14:20, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Onel5969, please review WP:POLITICIAN. Kurami is notable under those criteria. I see no evidence of UPE/COI and consider it unlikely considering that the subject died before the bio was written. @Onel5969, what is that clear evidence am also wondering. For the record, I don’t have any personal connection with him. Even though I met him once and snapped his picture as I am a photographer. Nevertheless, I create this page because I found out that the article doesn’t exist on Wikipedia and created it. I edit Wikipedia just like anyone who contributed freely to free knowledge sharing & I don’t have any personal connection with him! Uncle Bash007 (talk) 09:02, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the COI tag but Onel5969 re-added it. I started a discussion at WP:COIN to get more opinions from uninvolved editors. , but I will provide all there URLs. Uncle Bash007 (talk) 18:44, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Please be aware that Earwig's tool isn't always accurate, and you should also be checking to make sure that the pages it flags aren't mirrors of Wikipedia, compatibly licensed, or ineligible for copyright protection. Spicy (talk) 18:49, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Spicy,
For the article Hulki Cevizoğlu when tested with Earwig's Copyvio Detector tool, it shows a 92.1% (copyright violation) similarity with the original text on this

https://www.ittifakgazetesi.com/biyografi/hulki-cevizoglu-kimdir-hulki-cevizoglu-kac-yasinda-nereli

Therefore I am putting back the G12 tag Uncle Bash007 (talk) 18:54, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think you've understood what I'm trying to say. A list of publications and awards is not creative content - there is no way it can be paraphrased. You have to look at the content that is being flagged, not the Earwig score. And even if this were a copyright violation, the article would not be eligible for G12 as substantial content would remain if the list was removed. Spicy (talk) 18:55, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's true @Spicy, I get it. I have removed the tag. Thank you for the heads-up. Uncle Bash007 (talk) 19:01, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy request on Kholova Fotima

[edit]

I have declined your request for deletion on the article Kholova Fotima. I just researched from the sources and they seems to be reliable and verifiable. The article in question may need clean up as the creator Unambiguously created multiple adverts. I will advice of you insist on not cleaning up to go with an AFD. Swati P. Shah moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Swati P. Shah. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Wikishovel (talk) 09:10, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. If I may ask, is it wrong to welcome them and show them some guidelines?
thank you Uncle Bash007 (talk) 18:19, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
