Olan Montgomery

[edit]

One of your editors, Diannaa, recently removed content from my recently deceased brother's wiki. She cited copyright material from my brother's own website. No one should remove content without first talking with the author of that content. Unless the page is restored to it's original content before Diannaa arbitrarily destroyed it, there is no need to include my brother on this platform - Mike Montgomery

Hello @Gumaraid:. I am not involved in this content dispute, I merely came along during and noticed a massive and unexplained removal of content, so I reverted it. I can see that you've already engaged with the other editor on their talk page, so I'll leave the two of you to resolving the matter. ~ twsx | talkcont | ~ 13:28, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Good faith revision

[edit]

Hey, I'm just curious because I am new to Wikipedia. You reversed my contribution based on good faith, just wondering why, and what I can do to make it better as I am new to the process? Barrickinc (talk) 17:08, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Barrickinc: I have reverted your addition because it appears that the person you added to the article is not notable. People mentioned as notable within such an article should meet Wikipedia's guidelines on notability, and ideally, have their own article. ~ twsx | talkcont | ~ 17:31, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oscar Wilde

[edit]

Hello!

For some reason, I just saw a message from you that was sent on 25th November 2020 regarding changes to Oscar Wilde page. Yes, I use Wikipedia multiple times per day and read about all sorts of stuff, but rarely get an itch to actually change something. When I do, it's usually about sports related topics, like grammar mistakes or outdated facts (like player's tennis ranking that hasn't been updated in while). Preview is something I use every time, so I'm sure not to make a mess on a page. That said, I don't recall wisiting Oscar Wilde page or even making some changes. If I really did, I apologize. It's like I have a mild case of OCD, so sometimes I see things that seem to be in need of fixing and I can't help myself. For example, yesterday I tried to make a change at the page of former Russian boxer Evgeny Gradovich. His boxing record chart looked too narrow, because it collides with his personal data listed below his photo. I tried to move it a bit lower. That way everything would look better, and data would be clearer and easier to check. After trying for a few minutes, I realized I can't do it, so I let it be as it was. Maybe you can check it and give it a go. ~ 14:50, 17 February 2021.

Hello @89.201.185.112: / @89.201.185.141:. You can find the edit in question here. Some maintenance tags were removed / messed up – altogether looked like an accidental edit to me. As such, I had reverted it and left that message on your talk page. No harm done!

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
