Your recent editing
[edit]Hi there Tunisiasuperman. I'm a volunteer on conflict of interest related subjects and came across your contributions in relation to another editor. I have a simple question: are you paid for the things you write about on Wikipedia? If the answer is yes, it's not the end of the world, but there are some things you will have to do to continue editing here. You can just reply here, I'll be watching for an answer. Thanks. - Brianhe (talk) 08:53, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Mean as custard (talk) 09:20, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Mean as custard (talk) 09:20, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hello, Brianhe. Thank you for the notice. Going forward, I will go over the guideline before editing or adding content to Wikipedia. --Tunisiasuperman (talk) 00:59, 9 September 2016 (UTC)Tunisiasuperman
- Thanks for going over all relevant guidelines including WP:NPOV and WP:PAID which is a policy, i.e. mandatory and it links to the WMF Terms of Use. And please answer my question, are you paid to edit Wikipedia? - Brianhe (talk) 07:22, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
- Not really. I am an independent Industrial Internet of Things Researcher and not getting paid for my editing of content on Wikipedia. Tunisiasuperman (talk) 07:20, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
