Speedy deletion nomination of Aston barclay
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Aston barclay, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. TeapotgeorgeTalk 16:23, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Aston barclay requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Deletion
[edit]I don't think you understand what Wikipedia is about yet. This is an encyclopaedia, not a directory. Not every company or individual gets an article. Please look at WP:CORP, and then at WP:RS about the sort of reliable independent references you need to prove that you fit CORP. The two links you gave didn't fit RS. They were in the nature of press releases, which are not independent, and in many cases not reliable either... For the notability, you must avoid blogs, forums, press releases (or 'articles' in trade publications that are basically press releases - and sites like PRWire too), the company site, AboutUs etc, Facebook etc, twittering, digging and so on. The references should be more than 'also in this business are Jonesco, Bloggsco, and Harrington & Patel'. They should not consist mainly of quotes from the CEO, the Finance Director, or the office boy. As to other articles, WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS (which also has some less polite links). If you really feel these articles don't fit, let us know and we'll check them out. Let me (or another admin or regular editor) know if you want potential references looking at before launching a third attempt. I would also ask you to read WP:COI, as I feel sure you have a connection with the company. (People rarely get so enthusiastic about car auctioneers (or canners of supermarket own brand peas, or estate agents, etc) that they want to write articles about them. (Yes, I was cynical before I started editing on here...) Peridon (talk) 20:21, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
