Blockchain Article Contributions Peer Review

[edit]

Hi! The contributions you made to the Blockchain article all are very related, and they were definitely on the needed sections. I saw that there is a subtitle in the article about cryptocurrencies, maybe you can add the Bitcoin part of your contributions there to make it more understandable. Also, I’m not sure if we can add a Wikipedia article as a source, but you can use Santiago Siri and the articles we have read about him for the blockchain. I feel like it was the focus of that week. Hope it helps! Beril gur (talk) 09:38, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! I think your contributions were well-written and relevant to the article. For the sources, they all seemed reputable. One thing I would suggest would be to try to find more sources for each of your paragraphs because as of right now, you have only one source per paragraph. If you could find more sources to further support your work, it would not only provide more details to help expand your paragraphs, but also make it more concrete. Another potential avenue you could explore is the criticism of a secure blockchain voting. Our reading this week is about that so I am sure there are a lot of good information and research for that. All in all, this seems like a strong start and good job keeping a neutral tone throughout your paragraphs. Ryanliou (talk) 20:29, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey this is Komal! Your contributions are reliable and a great addition to the article. I really like the examples you gave, they weren’t biased at all but I would definitely suggest to have diverse sources and include more sources in general. The tone is definitely strong, just needs more contributions to make it stronger. Other than that good job and good luck! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Komalbadesha (talkcontribs) 02:19, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think everything you added will be beneficial to the article as most things are explained very minimally. You do a good job of tagging different wikipedia articles to help explain what you are writing but I think adding more information to help a broader range of readers understand would be helpful. Being more explicit on the difference between nodes and mining nodes and what the different uses of a hash are, are the first two I thought of. Go23bears (talk) 06:10, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
