Catch source on WP:ICTFSOURCES

I am confused if Catch on the list is simply some site named catch or is it Catch News. Can you tell me? The Catch also had red background but had reliable sign on it. I think reliable sign was typo between gu and gr. Can you check on this? RangersRus (talk) 22:30, 16 October 2024 (UTC)

  • RangersRus, Hey, thanks for the message. So, I have been skimming through RSN and page histories for the past hour. The Catch mentioned in the table is, IMO, some old entry on a blog/webiste, which was unreliable. I can't find them in the internet (I used two engines). They must have gone defunct. The Catch News you mentioned is a RS by Rajasthan Patrika. So you can make the changes accordingly. Good "catch", lol. Happy editing RR :) — The Herald (Benison) (talk) 07:13, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
Thank you :D I have added catchnews.com to the list as reliable to avoid confusion with "Catch". I have left "Catch" blog on the list for now because I am not sure how widely that blog was attributed on pages where cleanup might be needed. RangersRus (talk) 14:08, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for improving articles on October! - My story today is a cantata 300 years old, based on a hymn 200 years old when the cantata was composed, based on a psalm some thousand years old, - so said the 2015 DYK hook. I had forgotten the discussion on the talk. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:41, 20 October 2024 (UTC)

Administrator Elections: Discussion phase

Administrator Elections | Discussion phase

The discussion phase of the October 2024 administrator elections is officially open. As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:

  • October 22–24 - Discussion phase
  • October 25–31 - SecurePoll voting phase
  • November 1–? - Scrutineering phase

During October 22–24, we will be in the discussion phase. The candidate subpages will open to questions and comments from everyone, in the same style as a request for adminship. You may discuss the candidates at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/October 2024/Discussion phase.

On October 25, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close again to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote tallies cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's tally during the election. The suffrage requirements are different from those at RFA.

Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last for an indeterminate amount of time, perhaps a week or two. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose). As this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").

Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Important: Please update user script installation

Hi there, you currently have a user script installed from Anne drew Andrew and Drew. Several weeks ago, I changed my username to Anne drew, and unfortunately, due to an issue with script redirects, the scripts you have installed under my old username no longer function.

To fix this, please update your JavaScript pages (Special:MyPage/common.js or Special:MyPage/skin.js) by replacing all instances of Anne drew Andrew and Drew with Anne drew.

If any of this is unclear, please ping Anne drew for help. I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding!

Thanks – Anne drew
