I hoped that someone from english or french (cartoon was very popular there) wikipedia would expand articl, 'cause Serbian national television aired about 30 epizodes in early '90s. Cartoon was primary educational, main character Meme (or something like that) was telling stories about some of major scientific discoveries like phone, railway, steam engine, photography, theories of evolution and relativity, nature of light... Show also contained few futuristic and SF episodes which "predicted" (the cartoon is from early 1980s) things like internet, video-call, etc. In the other season episodes were about modern science and technology: oil, gold, plastic, ceramic, atoms... This is all I know, all additional sources I found were on french, russian or italian.

My biggest concern was\is my english, 'cause I'm lacking expirience in writing and speaking on english. Anyway, thanks. --BokicaK 16:10, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Tomo-Dachi

Hi, I saw your comment on the Tomo-Dachi second deletion page Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tomo-Dachi (2) and wanted to ask what exactly constitutes a 'reliable third-party source'. I have references back to the conventions website and forums, the University of Ulster’s website and respected 'www.animecon.com' website.

In the context of this convention what would be considered a reliable third party source for from what I see other conventions don’t seem to have any which doesn’t make it easy to work out. [I.e., Otakon] Butch-cassidy 14:47, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Burger King Deletion

I figured I'd repeat my question here, if I'm not making the proper argument for overturning the deletion, exactly how should I make it? I believe the Admin was wrong. Not that I disagree wrong, but wrong in the sense that they didn't observe the facts of the situation correctly. Is this really not something that can be reviewed? That an Admin's mistake is final and absolute? That is neither fair nor proper process. As I see it, the Admin in this case was mistaken, and I also believe you are mistaken, because you are focusing overly on arguments that may be flawed, but ignoring the valid ones. If you truly do believe it was proper to delete this article, please try to convince me of that, but do me the courtesy of not making your arguments by throwing links to various essays around. Again, I am sorry if I've offended you, perhaps I was overly blunt or snippish, but to be honest, I am troubled by your comments. All you've done is complain that I'm not following policy or procedure with regards to my objections, and instead of telling me a better way, you just throw a bunch of links to further essays at me. That is not very persuasive, or helpful, in fact, it feels rather hostile. I asked what I did wrong, how I could have done it better. You haven't suggested anything. Now I will explain to you how you could have persuaded me better. You could have pointed out where I was mistaken in my comments, or you could have explained how I could have worded my objections properly. You could also have avoided throwing links to a bunch of essays at me. It is possible that some comments on the AFD were of that nature. That doesn't mean other comments weren't, and in fact, the number of comments that say one thing or another is not a factor, as AFDs are not votes. So it doesn't matter if some arguments were bad, that doesn't mean you ignore the good arguments. And since you haven't addressed the facts of any of the comments I made, like this article being sourced, or the same information remaining on Wikipedia anyway, I'd say you are doing just that. This does not establish notability of the term at all, but it's definately not a complete neologism. I'd suggest you nominate it for AfD, if you believe the article should be deleted anyway.

I had presented that Another Anime Convention is the biggest anime convention in New Hampshire, but before much discussion had taken place the deletion was closed. I understand that you requested verification of that statement, and I did my best to provide it. I hope to point out that verifiability and not verification is required for Wikipedia. Any user can search Google for Anime Conventions in New Hampshire, and they will find no current ones (especially none larger than Another Anime Convention). Osamu Tezuka

I see that you've done a lot of work on anime and manga, "TheFarix". While my previous Wiki work has revolved around monsters, one part of anime/manga that needs a LOT of work are the articles on Osamu Tezuka and his works.

I just don't feel like there is proper coverage of all of his material, and I hope to rectify that. I've started by working on the category Osamu Tezuka characters and will take it from there.

I have restored the template you described as "redundant" in Week 11. It was decided after discussion on our talk page that information on future episodes should be preceded by a warning. Well, unfortunately, as time progresses, we find that more and more information is dumped into these sections in advance of the programmes - despite our best efforts to prevent it (a glance at the history suffices here). A warning is therefore generally in order for advance episodes, since there is often spoiling material. Descendant projects

While I agree in theory that you shouldn't need to tag an article with both WP:GEORGIAUS and WP:ATL, each of those templates transcludes a quality/priority category that the respective project uses to manage and contribute to articles. If the ATL project automatically included those categories, I wouldn't care about the removal of the template... but it doesn't, so I do. —Disavian (^talk/_contribs) 13:03, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

re: List of fictional characters who can manipulate XYZ

It's funny, I would have thought that any article that deals with a particular subject would be considered "within the scope" of a wikiproject that looks after that subject. And since the lists you referenced do contain material based on anime and manga characters, as well as having had editors concerned with those subjects editing the lists to improve them, it looks like they are with in the remit of WikiProject Anime and manga. That is, of course, unless you can provide a link to where that project states "We don't support lists," or where the editors associated with that project (the community that is) reached a consensus that the lists specifically, or a general type of list, are not to be included.

If there isn't such a guideline or consensus, how about putting the headers back?

OK, I can see where you're coming from, but there is a quibble point. Between "...all media, persons, organizations and fandom substantially related to..." and "Notable characters, episodes, issues, and merchandise of the above media;" an argument can be made that a few of the lists do qualify as they contain a sizable amount of anime or manga originated material.

The quibble comes in with: 1) Defining "substantial". Is it "almost all" (75%+ say), majority (51%+), or a "fair amount" (25%+ say)? And 2) if the elements listed are considered notable issues of the media.

I disagree with you

I am hoping that this will provide enough of a push to get more people to provide information and resources to the stubs to help fill them out. Since Osamu Tezuka is the God of Manga, I feel that his works need better representation here on Wikipedia. Therefore, I am personally intiating an endeavor to ensure that as many of his works and his worlds are here on Wikipedia.

If you want me to add more plot details, then I can and shall. It's really no trouble at all to include plot details and other story information. In the meanwhile, I will continue to create them until the entire List of Osamu Tezuka manga is filled.

It's not just one or two sentences! I have a complete infobox, external links, See also content, references, images completely filled out with fair use information and reasoning, and if it's plot you want, then a good paragraph or two of plot you will get! And I'm not too worried about them getting lost. I've been tying these all together under Osamu Tezuka!

If it's lost in the shuffle you're worried about, fear not! I'll start a collaboration if I have to!  :)

Well, as it happens, there are others besides me who disagree with you on that. There are many existing anime and manga stubs out there, floating around, that have less information than what I've been providing in the current pages I've been creating. Just look at the current state of Fumoon! I've got a lot of work to cover when I get to that one! References, Infoboxes, See Also, and External links are the least I can do to ensure that awareness grows for the works of Osamu Tezuka's works.

If you really have a problem with the work I'm doing, I suggest taking it up with the chiefs of the Anime and Manga WikiProject. Regardless, I'm not going to stop what I'm doing unless directly ordered by Wikipedia itself.

I was not aware of that. Alright then, tell you what. Take a look at the Plot information I plugged into the Stub pages and let me know what you think of them. Is that enough proper information? I used combinations of information from TezukaOsamu@World and Anime News Network to write the plot out. I hope that's enough information to meet WikiProject's standards. I am interested in getting a collaboration for Osamu Tezuka's work together. What would one need to do to accomplish that?

Glad to hear that. It's a nice vote of confidence.  :) Although I thought I had done the Plot information out-of-universe. I approached them with a kind of "Movie Trailer Narration" way of describing the plot. If you have a very good example of out of universe that I could use, I'd gladly tidy them up if that helps. Now that I have an idea of what you're looking for, I can make the other blank pages more like them to ensure higher quality.

Assessments, B-class

Just letting you know that a lack of references does not demote an article from B-class to Start-class. In fact the grading scheme specifically states that B-class articles "has significant gaps or missing elements or references". I've been looking over your re-assessments and they're all fine except Paranoia Agent. Template assistance

Since you seem to know the intricacies of the {{WikiProject Anime and manga}} project template, I wonder if you'd be willing to help update the {{WikiProject Japan}} project template to auto-detect templates, categories, etc., like the anime template does. I can create the categories for everything, but I don't completely understand all the "switch" and other esoteric stuff in the template.
