Information icon Hello, I'm Knitsey. I noticed that you recently removed content from Michael Gallagher (writer) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hi, thanks for reaching out. If you are who you say you are then you have a Conflict of Interest (COI). This problem isn't insurmountable but it's advisable that you follow the advice in the COI notice I will post below. Wikipedia is built using reliable sources, this is usually secondary sources and avoiding flowery promotional language. I will include a few links at the end of this message that might help you. Just be aware that articles that are void of references often are nominated for deletion. I just wanted to point this out so that you're aware. Have a look at Wikipedia:Reliable sources and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons As I said, I will post the COI notice that has links. I hope this helps, Knitsey (talk) 22:53, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted your edit again as I hope you will read the messages that will assist you. Knitsey (talk) 22:56, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Knitsey (talk) 22:54, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
