Bug Report 01 Jun 2014

[edit]
Resolved

I am using Google Chrome on Windows Vista. When I click on "edit counter" by browser becomes unresponsive, help would be appreciated. Thanks. Nathan121212 (talk) 12:33, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yeah, it is happening to me too. I'm guessing it is the result of a change to the way that MediaWiki itself works. I'll dig into it tomorrow and will get it back up and functional in a couple days. Need to read through all of the MediaWiki api change logs to see what they changed. Thanks for the report though! :) — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 12:36, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Update: Nathan121212, it should now be working again... The MediaWiki api developers changed the "ucstart" parameter to "uccontinue" and the script didn't know what to do. I've fixed it. :) If you are still having an issue, ping me here and change {{Resolved}} to {{Not done}} and I'll dig some more. Thanks again! — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 14:23, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Technical 13 your edit counter table is now proudly displayed on my user page. Great work. Nathan121212 (talk) 14:55, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Technical 13:, are you still workingnk on this? I am having the same issue as Nathan121212 above. If you'd like, you can see my source code User:MrWooHoo/common.js to make sure everything is AOK. Google Chrome, is still crashing, after clicking "Edit Counter."

  • I had that marked as resolved. I noticed it wasn't working again last time I tried to use it myself. I'll dig into why it's not working again next week. I'm guessing something else in the api or js library has been changed breaking the script. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 03:57, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Technical 13: Sorry to bother you again, but did you find any fixes? Are there any alternatives I could try and use?
