DYK question
Hey Joey! As you may have noticed, the last few days I tried to expand Magic Mike's article. During my research I discovered that Matthew McConaughey accepted the role of Dallas during a call of 10 minutes and that it was the second time only he said yes over the phone. Do you think this fact is interesting enough to nominate? Do you have any suggestion as how I should write it or the reviewer will simply improve it, if necessary? I read the nomination rules but since I expanded the article on August 26, 28, 29 and will finish the expansion today with the reception, I don't know where I should place the template once it's written and mostly if I'm not too late concerning the recentness of the article... Or do I just have to put it under the last time I made changes, which will be today? Thanks, Sofffie7 (talk) 11:59, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Did you expand it five times from what it was? The hook seems interesting. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:49, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- I've added stuff on the prod in general and other things. I have yet to add a few more lines in the prod and expand the reception but it won't be five times bigger... It may only be two times bigger when I'm finished. Why does it have to be five times bigger?! That's too bad :( --Sofffie7 (talk) 10:55, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's hard to get an already existent article qualified for DYK. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 18:22, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Which Grey's Anatomy characters would you like me to work on for GA/FA/help you? I'd be happy to get at least 1 up to GA each week, or more, or less, since school is starting on Tuesday, and I don't really know what homework, etc. I'm going to get. Also, help for an Awake episode for GA/FA would be much appreciated. Cheers, TBrandley 14:55, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Would you take Jackson Avery to GA? That would be ideal. Which Awake episode would you like me to take to GA? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:50, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Certainly. Could you take "Slack Water" to GA, if that's okay. Cheers, TBrandley 15:52, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Sure. Is there any specific episode you'd like me to model it off of? You could model Jackson Avery off of any character GA; they're all standardized. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:53, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Okay; great. I'll get on that. Could you perhaps model it off of "Nightswimming", if that's alright. Cheers, TBrandley 15:55, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Sure. But does it need a 'themes' section, or is that only for FA? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:00, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Normally, yeah, a "themes" section is normally on/should be on all Awake episode articles (when I get to it on other episodes that don't have it), due to the series' storyline. If you could, please do add a themes section. Most themes information is listed on all of those review sites. I could do that part if you can't. Cheers, TBrandley 16:03, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'll do a 'themes' section. Ok, it's on my to-do list. For Jackson, the storylines don't need adding; just condensing. I could do that part, if you want. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:05, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks! Yeah, I may need a bit of help on the storylines of that character. I'll do all the rest myself. Also, do you need help writing the plot summary for "Slack Water"? Cause, I could do that, or, there is a full detailed plot summary, with pictures that I use, at TVRage. Cheers, TBrandley 16:08, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- I'll probably read a plot recap, and put it into my own words. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:09, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. Here's a plot recap. Cheers, (Add ".com" to the end of tvrage, since the link isn't allowed on Wikipedia) TBrandley 16:12, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

I hate to bother you again, but, where do you finds information/sources for GA characters, is there a specific place you find them? I'm currently looking for some information on Jackson Avery. If you'd like to know what I've found so far, see User:TBrandley/sandbox3. Cheers, TBrandley 23:58, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for looking at Awake, again. If you find time. Could you also take a look at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Nightswimming (Awake)/archive1? Cheers, TBrandley 00:58, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for starting up on those critic reviews from "Slack Water". There are move reviews/production stuff; Den of Geek, Screen Rant, Deadline.com, TV Guide, epguides, and Radio Times. There is also probably more. Cheers, TBrandley 22:08, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi! How is your stubbing the season 3 episode articles going? Can't wait to have them all stubbed! Jonathan Harold Koszeghi (talk) 11:14, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- I've been drafting them on MS Word. Once complete, I'll put them online. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:54, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- That's great! I am curious about something, though. Why is "These Arms of Mine" the only episode of season 7 not to have an episode article? Jonathan Harold Koszeghi (talk) 09:02, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
Question
How'd you set up that bot for article alerts for WP:Grey's? TBrandley 15:58, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hard to explain, do you want me to just set it up for Awake? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:01, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- Sure. Thanks, Oh, and by the way, I'm still working on Jackson. TBrandley 16:04, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, it's added to the bot script. The article alerts page will be created by the bot, next time it runs (tomorrow morning). TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:13, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

Yang
I've added some things to Cristina's page, casting/creation, characterization and reception. The casting/creation section is very brief, and I was wondering if you had any info to add to it. Sofffie7 is cleaning up some storylines too. Creativity97 (TALK) 20:00, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- I actually have a lot of casting information for her, that I found while developing Grey's Anatomy. I'm short on time, and though I may be able to add it in later tonight, it will probably have to wait until morning. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 23:37, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
Okay. Whenever you have time is fine. Creativity97 (TALK) 03:08, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hey you two! I've got a few things about Cristina too so before it gets nominated, please wait for me. I wanted to add them yesterday, but I was pretty busy and today too, so I'll do that tomorrow :) --Sofffie7 (talk) 22:30, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, it's me again :) I've added everything I found while I was looking for information on Burke last week. Do you plan on adding more stuff, or may I remove the u/c templates? I was also wondering if we could restore the information concerning her origin, her beliefs and her studies that have been erased in this diff. Of course that would be more summarized but I think it's important. Maybe her being Jewish could be mentioned in the characterization? --Sofffie7 (talk) 17:24, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hey :-) Good job, and thanks for tidying up the references! I have more to do on 'reception', but should be done by tonight. I'll add her origin info back in 'storylines', but it's best to leave that stuff out of 'characterization', because it reads like a personal analysis. Thanks again, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:04, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
Curiosity
Why isn't KaDee Strickland listed in Wikipedia:WikiProject Grey's Anatomy ? If the article is part of the PP Task Force, and task force is part of GA WikiProject, doesn't that mean that the article is part of the GA WikiProject ? (See Wikipedia:WikiProject Television and the numerous task forces it includes) Jonathan Harold Koszeghi (talk) 09:07, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

I was just wondering something about Owen's article, wasn't he upgraded to series regular in season 5, episode 14? Because right now it says he was upgraded in episode 6. From what I remember (correct me if I'm wrong), he appeared from episodes 1-2, returned in episode 9 and became a regular in episode 14. Creativity97 (TALK) 20:00, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Grey's Anatomy Weekly Newsletter: September 10, 2012
Hello members of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy! We are sending out our weekly newsletter with updates about the project and tasks. Big apologies for the lack of the newsletter last week! We have several new achievements and updates to be announced! List of Grey's Anatomy cast members, developed by TRLIJC19, is in the process of featured list candidacy. George O'Malley, written by Creativity97, was promoted to good article status last week! Cristina Yang, developed by TRLIJC19, Creativity97, and Sofffie7, is now a good article nominee! Our good article character count continues to rapidly increase! Jackson Avery is being developed to good article quality by TBrandley; we are excited for it to go live. Grey's Anatomy, developed by TRLIJC19, and Grey's Anatomy (season 3), developed by Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, are still in the preparations for featured article candidacy. There are many things to be done for the project, in an attempt to exemplify its best work. Below is a list of tasks, and guidelines:
Tasks and Gudelines |
---|
Please try to follow these tasks to the best of your abilities. As with any guideline, there may be exceptions, so use common sense when applying them.
|
Weekly Initiative!
The weekly initiative this week, a repeat of last time, is to search the internet, and find season 6 reviews to add to Grey's Anatomy. Search through google archives, and news websites, to find reviews that talk about season 6 in entirety. Please make sure the reviews you find come from a highly reliable source such as a major news site, or a well-known magazine. If you find some reviews, please post them on the talk page of Grey's Anatomy, where they will be evaluated for quality. If you find a suitable review, that fits the criteria we are looking for, you will be awarded a barnstar! Take part in this initiative, have fun searching for reviews, feel proud after the review you find is added to the main article, and be rewarded with barnstars! Help make a difference and get started! Furthermore, if you notice that any user has participated in any weekly initiative and was not rewarded, give them a barnstar ASAP!
Have fun, and don't forget to only look at renowned sites! We hope to see several season 6 reviews posted on the talk page soon!

My Sandbox/Grey's season 3
Hey! I was wondering what do you think about the current state of the Writing and Filming section in my sandbox? It is far from being done but a feedback would be appreciated before I continue the expansion. Cheers! Jonathan Harold Koszeghi (talk) 13:09, 12 September 2012 (UTC)

GAN help
Hello! I recently nominated The Goat Puzzle for GA, and GreatOrangePumpkin is currently reviewing it... However, I disagree with some of the issues, but he disagrees with my disagreeing. :) There's just a couple of sentences which he claims are poor English, but read quite fine to me, and he also wants me to add too much plot detail to the puzzle description? Could you please come by to the GAN page and check things up a bit? Would really appreciate it. :) --Khanassassin ☪ 14:33, 12 September 2012 (UTC)

A-Class reviews
I know I'm a copycat lol. Speaking of A-Class, I was thinking if you were to nominate of if I was to nominate an article (Awake for me, GA for you) we couldn't pass the nomination. So, perhaps we should consider getting "delegates" also to promote an article in case, etc. Thoughts? TBrandley 22:51, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

The article Jennifer Armstrong (writer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Does not meet criteria for 'any biography' or 'creative professionals' per WP:Notability (people).
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Cnilep (talk) 05:35, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

Hello
Hello. I noticed that you were listed underneath the volunteer list at the Peer review page, and noted your interest in television-related articles. If you have the time, would you mind commenting at the peer review for an episode of the X-Files? The article has been promoted to Class-A and was on its way to being nominated for an FA, but I wanted a further opinion, especially from those who have promoted similar articles. If not, that's perfectly understandable as well. Bruce Campbell (talk) 21:34, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

Nomination of Jennifer Armstrong (writer) for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Jennifer Armstrong (writer) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jennifer Armstrong (writer) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:32, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
(Sorry to have to do this, but having checked the the sources myself and looking for more, I really do not see them adding up to notability, so we'll let the community decide). Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:41, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
I would guard against misinterpreting editors' comments or taking them out of context. DePRODed by creator without addressing the issue(s) means just that and is an accurate statement of fact; it is in no way intended to be interpreted that there was a violation of policy. As it happens, as I was instrumental in getting the BLPPROD developed, there is very little I don't know about BLPPROD & PROD policies. Take it easy ;) Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 05:05, 23 September 2012 (UTC)

Doctors' titles
I noticed an IP made changes on the doctors' status but what's the difference between an attending and a fellow surgical resident? I thought they were all attendings because of the dark blue shirt. --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:01, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- A surgical fellow is someone who trains under an attending surgeon. They are not yet attendings, but they are above resident level. The scrubs for attendings and fellows are unanimous. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:08, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- OK thanks, and how come Meredith is already an attending? --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:13, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know if you remember Bailey's S5 storyline. She was going to be a surgical fellow with Robbins (what Alex is now), but she was getting divorced, so she went the easier route. General surgery does not require a fellowship, as you receive all your training in residency. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:16, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

AfD
Hi. Thank you for participating at AfD. Please take a note of the outcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jennifer Armstrong (writer). Do take a moment also to read WP:DELETION and WP:NOTABILITY, and if you need any help or advice interpreting the policies, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Happy editing! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kudpung (talk • contribs)
- I think I'll stay away from creating BLPs. I'm better at creating other types of articles. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 01:58, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Also, please don't interpret this as rude, but the "thank you for participating at AfD" sounds like something said to a new editor/child. I'm 24 years old, have participated in numerous AFDs, and possess the full capability of checking the outcome. As I've noted, I am not going to create anymore BLPs, so notability should no longer be problematic for me. However, I understand that the generic notes become habitual, after leaving so many. Again, please don't interpret this the wrong way, because I appreciate all that you do for Wikipedia. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 02:19, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, I have never doubted for a moment that you are better at creating other types of articles, and your work in other areas is really impressive, but please don't let that deter you from creating bios or continuing to participate at AfD - we need all the help we can get. I'm afraid you'll have to put up with the tones of 'generic' messages - in fact my custom messages are a lot less insulting than some of our regular templates. 'Patronising' is only in the eye of the beholder, and some people do actually examine every written message to see if they can find a reason to complain for being given some help and advice. FWIW, I'm 63 and I get plenty of silly messages, and unless they are from pompous newbs who just don't know or care what they are doing, I tend to ignore them. Although I'm known for giving a lot of advice around here, I don't know absolutely everything myself and if messages are from experienced editors or fellow admins, I usually take the advice and thank them for it ;) Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:37, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 30
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Going, Going, Gone (Grey's Anatomy), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kate Walsh (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Sorry to bug you, but I need your help please! I don't want to get blocked again, but another editor is blanking the Fox programs page, lowering the chances of it being passed for FL. Arr! TBrandley 16:05, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- I reverted the user's edit, but I won't do it again, because I don't want to be in the middle of an edit war. I would bring it to WP:AN/I. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:09, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I can revert once more, but then after its a violation of WP:3RR, so WP:AN/I. You are welcome to contribute to the discussion regarding this at the article's talk page (very silly, look at all FLs). Thanks! TBrandley 16:12, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, whoops. You just did. Thank you so much. TBrandley 16:12, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
