"Wong's Cafe"

[edit]

You can't make statements without a source. Yes, your statement claim of "Wong's Cafe" being "Cory" on streaming was in the edit summary, but it needs to be verifiable. 17:18, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

I have fixed the references. Apologies for forgetting to add them TheoButKindaNot (talk) 14:35, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dave's Picks Volume 41

[edit]

Greetings, TheoButKindaNot. Thanks for creating the Dave's Picks Volume 41 article. It looks good. And also, submitted for your consideration, as they say, here are two suggestions about creating new articles. (1) The most important thing when creating a new article is to have enough good references as footnotes. That establishes that the subject of the article meets the Wikipedia guideline for notability: "A topic is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list when it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Without a few appropriate references to show that, it's possible that an article could be nominated for deletion. And we don't want that, now do we? (2) I believe you will find that the album cover you uploaded will be deleted, most likely in the next few days. That's because you uploaded it to Wikimedia, which is only for images that that have been licensed for anybody to use however they want. Album covers fall under "fair use" and should be uploaded to Wikipedia. The image uploaded to Wikipedia should include an appropriate use rationale and licensing information. If you click through from other album cover images you will see examples of that. Anyway, thanks again, and let me know if you have any questions or comments. (If you reply here I will see what you say.) Mudwater (Talk) 00:26, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the information, I'm still relatively new to editing pages and DaP 41 was my first I created (not counting redirects). I have reuploaded the album cover to Wikipedia and added it to the page. Again, thank you. - TheoButKindaNot (talk) 14:40, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sure thing. Mudwater (Talk) 01:49, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:51, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
