Orphaned non-free media (Image:Final Battalion Wars 2 boxart.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Final Battalion Wars 2 boxart.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:14, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

RE: Ban Abuse
[edit]Was it supposed to be for abusing the article itself? You're not even in the article history. If it's for the AfD page, that's just as wrong. You need to talk to an administrator about this. Having someone blocked in a dispute is a flagrant no-no according to WP:BLOCK, and whoever did it to you should be talked to if not disciplined. -- Atamasama 18:02, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
According to WP:AFD if we follow all the standard AfD steps (which I did) then after 5 days the discussion is over (there should be one day left). Then it is automatically closed within a few days by an admin. There should be no need to request it to be closed. One of the steps in AfD is to list the discussion in the AfD log for the day, and admins monitor that.
In any case, it seems pretty clear that it will be deleted, only one person is pushing for it to be kept, and even he has conceded that Overrated itself isn't notable. -- Atamasama 23:41, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Luigi
[edit]Luigi definatly. If he's in it, I'll be satisfied. He's my second best character apart from Kirby. But next time, try not to bring a subject like that up. Talk pages are'nt for that.Green Kirby 22:01, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Friend
[edit]She's been my friend for 3 years and she knows quite abit about vampires and such and what she posted was true, there are alot of errors in the article, especially about Autovampirism. But I had to revert her, because it was kind of original research. Vampire Warrior 23:57, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- I did not say that, pull your head out from between thine cheeks. I am a Sanguinarian myself. But I am not addicted to blood. I do drink from my fiancee and she does drink from me. But my friend is also a vampire and she reads many mythological books and she noticed some contradictions that day while we were on MSN so I showed her the article and I said "Hey, if you think it's wrong, edit it". She said "I will!" and she did. She doesn't use wikipedia a whole lot. Now, leave me alone, for I am on Wikibreak. Vampire Warrior 18:55, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

King Dedede
[edit]If you want to bring it back, you need to add info similar to the information in Kirby (Nintendo)#Concept and creation. Anything else is insufficient. TTN (talk) 23:28, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- I said similar to the information in that section. You need information pertaining to the real world, and that is an example. TTN (talk) 23:35, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- Bowser has an obvious potential for real world information, but feel free to propose that it be merged or put it up for deletion. It's completely irrelevant to any other articles. TTN (talk) 23:39, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, ones asserting that the articles are fine as they are, even though they clearly fail multiple policies and guidelines are the only people that can be accused of WP:OWN. TTN (talk) 23:43, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- The discussion required real world information backed by sources, not just any source that you can dig up. But whatever for now; hopefully the video game project can help. TTN (talk) 23:48, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

OK, enough people have shown that the page is currently not up to snuff to form a consensus. Please do not bring the article back without at least gaining some support from the project. I suggest that you try to find real world information on the character, so that it can be brought back. If you wish to still bring it back at this point, please use {{splitsection}} or some other variant, create a new discussion on the character list, and make note of it in the video game project discussion. TTN (talk) 23:05, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- What does game guide material have to do with the article? Did you mean to link to something else? FICT is still a guideline, and the only thing being disputed is the stance on deletion (wording is being changed to focus on merging and stuff) and a few definitions. The core guideline is still the same. TTN (talk) 23:16, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- What exactly have I misread? Exceptions are rare, so if that's what you're talking about, its certainly not this case. TTN (talk) 23:34, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- As I just said, this is certainly not an exception, so your point is rather irrelevant. If you believe the information exists, try asking one of the Japanese speaking editors in the Japan wikiproject to do a search or something like that. That tag adds a category, so do not place it again. TTN (talk) 23:41, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- No, that that does not establish notability at all. Feel free to add it to the list entry, though. TTN (talk) 01:23, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Signature
[edit]Would you consider changing your signature? I have no logical arguments to back up this request, nor any guideline or policy. User:Krator (t c) 00:03, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- Are you joking? Fangz of Blood 00:04, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- Don't feed the trolls, Fangz. :) RingtailedFox • Talk • Stalk 00:11, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
I know, but I find this so funny. Fangz of Blood 00:12, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Ouch, being called a troll. Let's rephrase the above. Wikipedia:Signatures states that "A distracting, confusing or otherwise unsuitable signature may adversely affect other users. Some editors find it disruptive to discourse on talk pages, or when working in the edit window. Very long signatures that contain a lot of code ("markup") make it difficult for some editors to read talk pages while editing." - I personally consider this true for your signature, hence the phrasing of my original request, as it is a personal judgement, and a friendly request, and nothing more. Does this explain my concerns adequately? User:Krator (t c) 00:39, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- I understand what you are saying, but this code isn't long at all. I have seen users who have made their signature code as long as the Bowser (Nintendo) page. Fangz of Blood 00:42, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- It is not the length of the code my objections point at, but the actual visual representation ("distracting" and "disruptive to discourse on talk pages" above). The black greatly disrupts the flow of the pages and inhibits clearly reading, as well as makes "screening" pages quite impossible. User:Krator (t c) 01:07, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
I second this request — to both of you. --Jack Merridew 10:13, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
I changed it Fangz of Blood 16:46, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- Not significantly. How about no background color and actually using your username as the link text? --Jack Merridew 17:35, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- I also found your signature distracting and am glad you are changing it. It would be a nice courtesy to use your username as the text, or at least part of the text, to aid identification. Pagrashtak 21:00, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- See User talk:Krator#Is my Signature less clashing? where I suggested: FangzofBlood --Jack Merridew 22:39, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- The other problem with your sig (besides the appearance) is that it fails to associate with your username (which is itself problematic) and the link-text you prefer "Blood dripping on the ground" is utterly inappropriate and likely offensive to many. It is rather obvious - and not an assumption of bad faith - that this is pretty much your intent. This is trolling. I'm about done with this for now. Please consider this friendly advice. The next time I see a new sig of yours, please make it one that will not incline me to present this in forums that will not cut you much slack. --Jack Merridew 23:10, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- see Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names and think again. --Jack Merridew 00:14, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I believe we have reached a consensus. I believe you will have better luck out there with the sig you're now using. FYI, you've got a null-span in there that is probably leftover from wrapping 'of'... I suggest you move the 'of' back in there and leave it as a non-lined word; just an aesthetic suggestion. --Jack Merridew 03:20, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
- Follow-up. I've refactored the sigs in this section again - it uses b-elements instead of span-elements and is shorter and implements the suggestion I made above re 'of'. -- Jack Merridew 04:01, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Is my Signature less clashing?
[edit]- Some of this is chronologically prior to some of the above. Please take the timestamps into account. Cross-posted because the discussion is now closed, and I applaud FangzofBlood for his willingness to change his signature. Fragmented discussion is a bad thing, this was originally on User talk:Krator. User:Krator (t c)
Do you accept? Blood dripping on the ground 20:01, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- It could lose the grey background. Then, it would not clash with reading talk pages in a screening away any longer. Thank you for your response! User:Krator (t c) 20:18, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- How about: FangzofBlood ? (not that I really approve) --Jack Merridew 20:39, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- I would find that ok. I indeed do not approve either, but that's a matter of style - many established editors have such signatures. The current state is obstructing proper use of Wikipedia talk pages however, which is something more severe than style. (In the interest of style, I remove excess fluff from this page every once in a while) User:Krator (t c) 22:29, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- How about: FangzofBlood ? (not that I really approve) --Jack Merridew 20:39, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
I chose this style, it is a mix of Jack's and mine, I am sorry about earlier, I can get bad tempered. Blood dripping on the ground 22:50, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'd be ok with that, but you might want to consider changing your username. It is generally accepted that your signature includes your name. Random trivia: the person you are having a dispute with right now, User:TTN, had exactly the same thing a while ago. He signed posts as Nemu, instead of TTN, for quite some months, and then changed after a request. See Wikipedia:Changing username. User:Krator (t c) 22:54, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:DeDeDebrawl.jpg.

Cut-and-paste moves
[edit]Hi, I noticed you moved Warcraft universe to Warcraft (series). When moving an article like this, you should typically move the talk page as well, using the page move ability. This is a standard option provided when you move an article, provided there are no naming conflicts. You moved the talk page in this case with what is commonly called a cut-and-paste move. I noticed before any other edits were made, so was able to easily delete the pasted talk page and move the old page properly. However, if these are not caught in time, they quickly become complex to correct. If cut-and-paste seems to be your only option, such as if an article already exists at the move target, please contact an administrator to assist you. Pagrashtak 18:43, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:DeDeDebrawl.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:DeDeDebrawl.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 16:12, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Your image uploads
[edit]Incidentally, the copyright policy is a bitch. It may well be a vital, necessary bitch, but that it's one is not in dispute. If you think that the deleted images you've uploaded would still be useful, I can take a look at them with my frankly astonishing admin powers and see if I can restore and re-add them in accordance with the rules. --Kizor is in a constant state of flux 03:18, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:LINK SPECIAL.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:LINK SPECIAL.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:58, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Nintendo task force membership
[edit]If you are not already aware, the Super Smash Bros. task force (formerly WikiForce Super Smash Bros.) has very recently been merged into the Nintendo task force (formerly WikiProject Nintendo). As a result, the memberlist of the old task force has been merged into the Nintendo task force's memberlist. In order to gauge who is still active and willing to participate actively in the Nintendo task force, I have placed all those members under the inactive participants list, which is located below the active participants list at WP:NIN.
If you wish to continue participation as a member of the Nintendo task force, then go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Nintendo/left panel, remove your entry from the inactive list, and place your entry at the bottom of the active list. If you don't wish to be a member of the Nintendo task force, then simply remove your name from the list. One month from now, on May 16, 2009, all remaining entries on the inactive list will be removed. Thank you, MuZemike 15:00, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Dear WikiProject Video games member,
You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in the recent months.
The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.
All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:
- Editing video game-related pages in the Article namespace
- Participating in video game-related discussions in the Project namespace (WT:VG, WP:AfD, WP:GAN, etc.)
Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:Starmenclock.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
