DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:06, 26 November 2024 (UTC)Drafting
[edit]Hi, just to say please don't use your user page User:Spidersnyc for developing drafts, it's not what that page is meant for, and using it for drafting isn't strictly speaking even allowed. Use either your sandbox or some other subpage in your user space, or better yet the draft space. Any questions, ping me. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:57, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- @DoubleGrazing, Spidersnyc eventually copied the content to draftspace. Given the draft had a Citation bot edit in the history, I moved that draft to Mastigoproctus tohono to preserve attribution. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 10:30, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks @Rotideypoc41352.
- In that case, the user page copy is presumably no longer needed. @Spidersnyc: please clear it, or let me know if you'd like me to delete the page altogether? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:34, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, new to this… I deleted the user page draft. Will use the draft space for drafting going forward. Spidersnyc (talk) 11:22, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Spidersnyc, friendly advice: sometimes on mobile the main pencil icon only edits the first part (above the first heading) and not the subsequent sections. Try going back to your userpage, selecting the meatball menu or vertical ellipsis (⋮) to the right of the pencil, and selecting "edit full page". Then you can clear the whole thing. Yes, the user interface is a bit silly and quite unintuitive. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 11:42, 28 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi, Spidersnyc! More friendly advice: when you submit drafts, please use the AfC Submission Wizard. You've been using VisualEditor, and the {{subst:submit}} method only works in the older source editor. Why don't you try it on your sandbox now? If you see a pale yellow box on top with a message that the draft is pending review, you know it's worked. Thanks! Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 16:15, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
