Talk page remarks
[edit]I know it was done in good faith but you should probably be more diplomatic in messages to anonymous users. It's quite a hornet's nest that has been stirred up at User talk:71.32.56.91. Leaving a nice reminder message or a simple test2 or test3 is sufficient. Instead of this edit, you could just leave {{test3|User talk:Celiagerard}}. Remember WP:DINV and WP:DNFT. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions. —Wknight94 (talk) 18:16, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Hello I am myself
[edit]I just noted as I was coming in to sign in, that Wikipedia is still recognizing me as my IP address. There was a warning against me vandalizing my own talk page.Actually I did not understand how the talk page works and after having multiple errors,I was trying to clean up several versions and asked for help, error again, well it was a chain reaction from there.I thought that by signing up as a user would end my IP from being shown, 1 of main reasons for joining for privacy causes.Alas,I will stay away from my own talk page in the future! How bizarre. But I am me, my ip address is the same as always.Vandalizing was never even in the remotest intent. But deleting my talk page would be a favor.Sorry if it caused any concern.Analog Human 09:36, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Your Message
[edit]Hi Specter. You left a message on my user page accusing me of vandalizing the Lucille Ball page. What gives? Maybe it is because I am using AOL, but I just thought that it was rather strange. 172.162.129.51 02:57, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, and a little something...
[edit]Thanks for reverting the vandalism to my talk page.

Pokemon blankings on AIV
[edit]I believe the IP tries to tell us that the content is not suitable. (advert style?) I left another message. Agathoclea 19:11, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
no prob
[edit]Sure, no problem. DOn't know if you saw - there was actually more removed from Eagles than what you reverted -the guy had gone in and made a series of blanking edits and you must not have seen them all so only reverted some. Also, there could be a connection bewteen the blanker here and the blanker there -- do WHOIS. Tvoz | talk 01:19, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- ok, I may be losing my mind - I am almost 100% sure that earlier today both WHOIS's gave me the same UK city. Now one is showing as UK and one Sweden, so I might have been wrong about that. As for your question, I'm just a civilian here and you've lost me - I'm not sure what a softblock is. I do know that I regularly alert admins on WP:AIV about IP vandals (and the regular kind too) when they've exceeded their warnings, and I've seen them regularly blocked even though they are possibly shared accts, so I am not sure what you mean. I figure my job is to post warnings and notify when appropriate, and the admins can take it from there. Tvoz | talk 01:38, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
My userpage vandalism
[edit]Thanks for helping revert the vandalism to my userpage. If only they knew what joy it gives me to find such a dedicated artist totally devoting themselves to making me look bad (for the thirty seconds or so it took for you to catch it). =) -- Sarrandúin [ Talk + Contribs ] 03:55, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
This is a quick note to remind you to check the history when you tag an article for speedy. When you tagged this one, it was in a vandalized state. - Mgm|(talk) 12:59, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Subst!
[edit]When using certain template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Happy vandal fighting. Rettetast 17:51, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
And one more thing. When you have issued at test4-warning and the vandalism don't stop, you can report the vandal AT WP:AIV. Super work you do and thanks for the revert on my userpage. Rettetast 17:53, 19 January 2007 (UTC)- You had already done that. :-) Rettetast
