Potential Wikipedia Bias
[edit]Obviously, I am not politically neutral (as you can see from my user page), but I would like Wikipedia to be fair. I have noticed that there seems to be more articles and sections of articles criticizing conservatives than there are criticizing liberals. I would like to open a dialogue with others to find their opinions about this. I don't know where else to start this so I'll start it on my page. I have already added a new section on the Talk:Jimmy Carter page suggesting a new article since there is one on the Santorum Controversy. Also, it seems to me that Keith Olbermann's article seems to be more favorable than Bill O'Reilly's article (you know how I feel about them). Again, maybe I see it that way because of my biases, but if there are others who feel this way perhaps we should undertake a project to fix the issue. Also, I have seen some bias on the "climate change" issue (I don't like the term "disinformation" on Climate change denial). Please post your thoughts on this; I don't care what your views are. Thank you. SouthJerseyConservative 22:00, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Political Discussion
[edit]Hi SJC. Just a few lines re your wish to begin and host political discussion on your pages here at Wikipedia (as described on your user page). Wikipedia policy has it that activities in user space are to be restricted to those that are directly related to your editing activities, eg. queries and explanations pertaining to a particular edit. The user and user talk pages are not intended for discussions or activities based upon personal opinions or interests. Please see WP:NOT and Wikipedia: User page for the details. Meanwhile, I'd be happy to help with suggestions etc as to where you could set up such a project, should you wish. All the best Plutonium27 (talk) 23:48, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
