I agree with your edit to Metre, but I don't think your edit summary was entirely correct: "reverted good faith edits by 76.255.124.127; Metre is the correct spelling for those who use the measurement.. " The spelling of SI units, when expressed as full words, varies from country, and "meter" is the correct spelling in the USA, recognized as such by the Secretary of Commerce, who by law has the authority to interpret SI for the U.S. If an article uses U.S. spelling, the spelling "meter" would be appropriate.
Of course, SI symbols are the same in all countries and languages. --Jc3s5h (talk) 15:54, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
