Hi Sara. I'm surprised no one has left you a welcome yet! If you've not discovered the Wikipedia tutorial, you might find it useful, though you seem to be doing great without it. It was nice to meet you on Wednesday. Let me know if you'd like to join WikiChix. Angela. 11:00, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for Fashion blog

[edit]

Thanks for cleaning up this article. I have been watching it for some time and notice that it is a frequent target for linkspam. Articles like this have to be diligently maintained. Regarding using a blog as a 1st person reference, I believe this to only be acceptable when there is no other good source for the information or, as in your case, if it contrasts alternate sources of information.

There are several areas in which to look for guidance on this matter. Specific policies are WP:RS and WP:VERIFY. Regarding use of the subject as a source [1]. A general policy is "...blogs are largely not acceptable as sources."[2], however you can use them in certain situations [3].

I hope this helps. --Mattarata 15:20, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help with SPAM

[edit]

Hi. I wonder if you'd take a look at this edit Diff by User:Leestyle. I suspect spam but I don't know enough about fashion to say for sure. User also added same link to two other pages. Dan D. Ric 07:49, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome! :)

[edit]

Hey Sara,

Welcome to the Fashion Wikiproject! It's fun to have a little fashion home here at Wikipedia, isn't it? It's so nice to have people to edit with; I used to get a little lonely when I first joined, almost a year ago now. (I'm still clueless, though.) I'm really looking forward to your articles. :) I'd write more, but I've got to dash off to work. :( Warm wishes, Willow 22:52, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

May I second this? Good to see someone who will be active in the fashion stuff; we need all the help we can get. Daniel Case 03:49, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Sartorialist

[edit]

Sara,

I started yesterday what I think is the first new article created for the fashion project: The Sartorialist, about Scott Schumann's apparently very popular blog, after reading about it in The New York Post and thinking "this is so appropriate for the project!"

I have given it basic info from the Post article, with footnotes, and an infobox and screenshot. Since fashion blogs are your explicitly-stated area of expertise, I think you should have a look at it and add anything you might be able to. Then I want to take it to "Did you know?" (we have about three more days). Daniel Case 23:43, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll add those sources eventually, but I've already submitted it to DYK (although I'm not hopeful at this point as it was called too short). Daniel Case 15:39, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jimbo is coming to Sydney

[edit]

Sorry to spam you if you aren't interested. See Wikipedia:Meetup/Sydney#April 25th for more info if you are interested. - Ta bu shi da yu 08:43, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just a heads up that Andrew Saul (ex-CEO of Cache and Brooks Bros.) has been nominated for featured article status here. Any input, comment and suggestions would be greatly appreciated, there is not that much info on him as it relates to the fashion industry, and being an !expert, I'm not quite sure how well I can flesh it out. Please feel free to comment and/or improve the article. Thanks! MrPrada 21:20, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A cup of coffee for you!

Hi Warior Within (talk) 02:55, 24 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Request edit assistance for Daphne Guinness article

[edit]

Hi. I see you’re a member of the Fashion WikiProject - I’ve made some proposals to update the article about Daphne Guinness, posted here Talk:Daphne Guinness#Request Edits for February 2023. Because I have a conflict of interest, I can’t do these edits myself. Could you have time to look at these and consider? Thank you very much.YhSA99b3tTnCnLdr (talk) 19:14, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
