If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Sandbox subpages of templates are for working on template code before they are implemented in the live template, not for experimenting with whatever editing you want. The page Template:User sandbox/sandbox is a template sandbox. Templates are pages that contain pieces of code to be repeated across the project. Because directly editing templates is a terrible idea, we have "/sandbox" subpages of templates where edits can be proposed and then merged in when it is determined there are no problems. It is not a general testing ground for anything.
