Knowle Hill

[edit]

Thanks for the heads up about Knowle Hill. I know it well - it is only a couple of miles from my house and there is a really nice pub just below it. I have some photos (but not sure about the plant mentioned) & I will try to do some work on it tomorrow.— Rod talk 18:07, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, now that you've converted Melincourt into a disambig, could you help clean up these links to the disambig per WP:FIXDABLINKS? Thanks, --JaGatalk 11:19, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SP-KP, thanks much for your help. It looks like most of the work has been completed. Let's say you fixed the dablink in a template. Although the template no longer links to the dab, pages that transclude that template will still show up on the "what links here" list for that dab for a few days, because it takes a while for those pages to update their link information (unless they're edited, which will force an update). Eventually, the links will be updated automatically, so there's nothing more that needs to be done. Thanks much! --JaGatalk 19:34, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have just come across your list of beetles of Great Britain (and its daughters) again today, and I see that they're all unsourced. I don't suppose you can remember where you got the information, can you? If you let me know what the source was, I'm happy to add it to all the pages. --Stemonitis (talk) 11:27, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ireland

[edit]

It would be very useful to add another status box - Present in Ireland (Britain+Ireland lists as you will imagine cause great confusion here).I can do this but need the empty box to add the symbol (I?).What do you think and if you agree can you give me the empty box? Info input shouldn't take too long. All the best from the Emerald but plant poor Isle Robert aka Notafly (talk) 11:26, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ireland

[edit]

Sorry about that. I was in the Public Library this am with only one hour of computer time hence a rush. The title Ireland should have been List of the vascular plants of Britain and Ireland.I realised this error later and that it would make my request meaningless but had no web access then. I would like a box to the right or left of the Status box for each species given in List of the vascular plants of Britain and Ireland into which I could enter I for Ireland. I think this is better than constructing an Ireland only list since it draws attention to the "missing species" Is this possible? Thanks for getting back so promptly Notafly (talk) 20:33, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks. This will be very useful, I hope, for Irish readers. Interesting to note by the way that in some RESL checklists the term Britain is used to partly include and partly exclude Ireland. Not as uncommon as you might think an N Ireland being in the UK adds another problem making for eg.Leptidea reali a UK but not Britain species All the best Robert Notafly (talk) 20:41, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
