License tagging for Image:IMG13.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:IMG13.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:06, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Esperanza!

[edit]

Welcome, Suit-n-tie, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Signature

[edit]

Hey. You probably already know this, but you can go to "My Preferences" on the top of the page and then adjust your signature to your liking there. For example, my signature is Sasuke-kun27, so I would write <font color="blue">Sasuk</font><font color="green">e</font><font color="blue">-kun</font><font color="black">27</font> in the signature box. Don't forget to click "Raw signature" if you going to add [[]] around it. If you want, you can test out your signature on my sandbox to see if you like it or not.

P.S. - Any kind of reply can be left on your talk page. I'll have it on my watchlist. Sasuke-kun27 15:46, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, man. Now I know more.--Suit-n-tie 19:01, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:G.Rilldo.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:G.Rilldo.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:05, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good Job To You Too

[edit]

Thank you for fixing any spelling errors and stuff like that on the General Rilldo page. I probably wouldn't have caught those mistakes any time soon. Anyway, good luck on the copyright-thing and tell me when your done so I can add it to the page along with the info box (or you can do it yourself if you know how. It doesn't matter.) Sasuke-kun27 11:33, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. - Where did you find the image? Do you remember the website? I'm going to try to get the copyright stuff on it, but I need to know who created the image and who the image belongs to. Hopefully, the info is somewhere on the site. You can delete this message and reply on my talk page when your done with it. Sasuke-kun27 23:53, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kid Buu

[edit]

The same question could be asked about Freeza. The answer is that it was too big, and too sudden, probably. Also Kid Buu acted instinctively, not intelligently. He recognized a threat and did what his completely alien instincts dictated: Eliminate the threat. And he almost succeeded. He correctly estimated that he possessed enough power to resist the Chou Genki Dama, and only after the wish for Goku's energy to be restored was made was Kid Buu overpowered. He had no way of knowing such a wish was going to be made, so he had no way to tell ahead of time that he would be destroyed. And when he finally did realize it, it was too late.

Does that answer your question?

Daishokaioshin 03:36, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. That just about sums it up. Thanks.--Suit-n-tie 04:06, 15 September 2006 (UTC

September Esperanza Newsletter

[edit]
Program Feature: Barnstar Brigade
Here in Wikipedia there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go unappreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go unnoticed. As Esperanzians we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. This is where the Barnstar Brigade comes in. The object of this program is to seek out the people which deserve a Barnstar, and help them feel appreciated. With your help, we can recognize more dedicated editors!
What's New?
September elections are upon us! Anyone wishing to be a part of the Advisory Council may list themselves as a candidate from 18 September until 24 September, with the voting taking place from 25 September to 30 September. Those who wish to help with the election staff should also list themselves!
Appreciation Week, a program currently in development, now has its own subpage! Share your good ideas on how to make it awesome there!
The Esperanza front page has been redesigned! Many thanks to all who worked hard on it.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
 1. The proposals page has been updated, with some proposals being archived.
 2. Since the program in development Appretiaion week is getting lots of good ideas, it now has its own subpage.
 3. The September 2006 Council elections will open for nominations on 18 September 2006. The voting will run from 25 September 2006 until 30 September 2006. If you wish to be a candidate or a member of the elections staff, please list yourself!
 4. The new Esperanza front page design has but put up - many thanks to all who worked on it!
 5. TangoTango has written a script for a bot that will list new members of Esperanza, which will help those who welcome new Esperanzains greatly!

Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.

My reverts

[edit]

Hi - thanks for the message. I reverted the [1] Arnold edit, as it placed multiple capitals in the same sentence. The only other change I made to one of your edits was Neko Majin, where I incorrectly reverted Dragon Ball to become DragonBall. This was a mistake, and I've since fixed it. I'd initially spotted your changes on "Recent Changes", and was concerned about what some of your edits were, as they had summaries such as "changed something", or "nothing", which is the sort of summary that vandals often leave. However, you're clearly not a vandal, you're contributing some good content to Wikipedia. Hope this addresses your question earlier. Regards, --Oscarthecat 06:00, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Elder Kai

[edit]

I think that its a good idea. I may not have as much info on E.K. than I do on General Rilldo or Grandpa Gohan, but I think we have enough to create the article. You can start whenever you're ready. I won't be able to edit until 3:30 p.m. eastern time, though, because I have school. Anyway, good luck! Sasuke-kun27 11:39, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cool, but, I won't be able to do it soon either. Need to get my eyes checked. Literally. If it does get started soon, I'll help out. Thanks for the reply.--Suit-n-tieSuit's Talk 21:51, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I typed in Elder Kai and found out that it is a redirect to List of Dragon Ball characters, along with Rou Dai Kaiôshin, but I could re-create the Elder Kai page and make Rou Dai Kaiôshin a redirect to that instead. I'll start on it now and see how it goes from there. Best of luck to both of us (I'm gonna need it...)
P.S. - I'll use the name Elder Kai for now and if you prefer Elder Kai (Dragon Ball), we can always move it. Sasuke-kun27 22:04, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Rather than calling him "Elder Kai", why not use the correct name, "Rou Dai Kaioshin" and make "Elder Kai" a redirect to that? There's not much point in making a new article if the first thing you do is make use of an incorrect name, right?
Daishokaioshin 23:34, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I'm back. Hmm, yeah, I agree with Daishokaioshin. We should use the original name.--Suit-n-tieSuit's Talk 00:17, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No prob. My computer froze while I was making it and I had to reboot before I could save so we can make it Rou Dai Kaioshin. I'll get started on it (again) if you guys didn't already. Sasuke-kun27 01:00, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Heh, sorry. I thought you started it....I'll help soon. Sorry for the procrastination.--Suit-n-tieSuit's Talk 01:02, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. I'll let you guys know when I save it (there will be a lot of errors to fix). Oh, Daishokaioshin, do you know much about Rou Dai Kaioshin? It would be great if you could help. I have the manga but I still don't know much. Sasuke-kun27 01:22, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Welll... I know basically that he was the East Kaioshin of his time, but I can't recall how many generations back that was. Various numbers pop into my head, but I can't remember which one it was exactly? 18 generations? 16? 13? I can look it up, but sadly two thirds of my DBZ manga collection have been missing for awhile now, so I don't have the resources (either in the Japanese original, or the Viz translation) available to me right now to come up with the number immediately.
There was apparently an old witch that was on the Kaioshin Kai for some reason or another (I don't recall it ever being explained, though she may have been Baba's predecessor) with various magic powers who thought that Rou Dai Kaioshin's Potara earrings would look better on her than on him. So she took one of them off and attached it to her ear before he could stop her, causing the two of them to Fuse. Kaioshin don't really age that much, being either immortal or long-lived to the point where aging might as well not happen, thus Rou Dai Kaioshin's elderly appearance is from the decrepit state of the witch, rather than his own age.
The training techniques of the Kaioshin, combined with the magic knowledge of the witch, allowed for the development of all new techniques and powers in Rou Dai Kaioshin, such as the awakening of sleeping power. Now, this next part I don't remember if it was in the manga or is strictly fanon, but there was supposedly a single Kaioshin referred to only as the "Dark Kaioshin" who had altered his Potara Earrings into the "Black Potara". With them, he could fuse the bodies and souls of other beings into himself, without actually sharing his body or mind with them. This made him able to basically add the power of even the strongest fighter to his own. His logic was that mortals squandered their lives on meaningless pursuits, and fought amongst themselves for no reason. He wanted to unify all of the "lesser beings" into himself so that life could proceed under the guidance of a being with greater understanding than any "mere mortal". However, the awakening of sleeping power in individuals by the then East Kaioshin somehow made people immune to being bound inside the Black Potara. Mortals who could not be Fused with himself were a threat to the Dark Kaioshin, so to prevent any more of them from being made, he used his sealing technique on Rou Dai Kaioshin, trapping him in the Z Sword.
However, the people who Rou Dai Kaioshin had assisted in becoming Mystics (term never used in the manga) still existed, and were able to defeat the Dark Kaioshin. Whether he was killed, or what, was never stated, nor was what happened to the Black Potara or the people sealed inside of them.
As I said, I don't remember if all of that was in the manga or not, but it had to come from somewhere. If anyone with the issues of the manga, or the Daizenshuu or anything else that covers that part of the story can clear it up, I'd appreciate it.
Back to Rou Dai Kaioshin... He was originally just the East Kaioshin, but after being released from the Z Sword, he was the oldest and most experienced Kaioshin alive, and since there was no Dai Kaioshin anymore, he was given the honorary position of Rou Dai Kaioshin. He basically was the Dai Kaioshin, but only as a substitute, because there was no one else suitable to take the position.
That's about all I can remember.
Daishokaioshin 01:41, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wow. That'll sure help make the article. I can't wait to start editing it.--Suit-n-tieSuit's Talk 01:47, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well I leave the rest up to you. I have to go to bed (school) so here's the link (Rou Dai Kaioshin) and good luck. I suggest you get to it fast before someone else does. It's not finished yet. Sasuke-kun27 01:54, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy Deletion Tags is Vandalism -- DO NOT DO IT AGAIN

[edit]

Removing a speedy deletion notice is vandalism. It's not your place to judge whether or not a speedy deletion notice is appropriate or not; it's the reviewing administrator. Do not do it again, or you may subject yourself to further penalties that relate to vandalism. The tag itself advises you on how to dispute a speedy deletion notice if you so desire. — Whedonette (ping) 18:29, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know all that, I just didn't think you knew what you were doing.--SUIT 18:30, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Assuming bad faith of your fellow editors (i.e., assuming they don't know what they're doing) isn't a valid excuse for committing vandalism. — Whedonette (ping) 18:34, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I already said so: I know all the policies; I've been here a while. I know: Assume Good Faith, Vandalism, etc... Now please, are you finished?--SUIT 18:37, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to hear it. Then start implementing those policies in your behavior as an editor. You didn't in this case; thus, the warning. Don't do it again. — Whedonette (ping) 18:39, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have been implementing those policies since August.--SUIT 18:41, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If I could butt in, I'd like to say that (if the page that you two are talking about and the page that I'm thinking of are the same) you can't just tag a user subpage because it's "nonsense". What next? Are you going to tag every user sandbox because Wikipedia already has one (which I don't recommend, by the way)? // Sasuke-kun27 18:43, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy Deletion Tags is Vandalism -- DO NOT DO IT AGAIN- Even More

I have been implementing those policies since August.--SUIT 18:41, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't in this case: you admittedly removed a speedy delete notice (WP:VAND|vandalism) and did it because you assumed a fellow editor didn't know what he was doing (WP:AGF violation). I really don't have the urge to discuss this with you any longer. So here's the official warning text for you from Template:drmspeedy ...
Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place hangon on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you.
... and I've left your talk page. — Whedonette (ping) 18:49, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Removing warnings from your talk page is also considered vandalism and can in many circumstances lead to blocks. You do not own your talk page — it belongs to the Wikipedia project as a means of contacting you. You can archive your current talk page as you see fit, but not outright blank sections — see Template:TestTemplates for warning messages relating to talk page blanking, for example. Feel free to inquire on this issue at the administrators' noticeboard if you do not believe me. Do not do it again. — Whedonette (ping) 18:58, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For god's sake, I didn't remove all this it's in an archive. Will you please leave me alone now?--SUIT 19:01, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Your contribution history shows no sign of archiving it. When people speak of archiving talk pages, they are not speaking of a private archive accessible to only you; they are speaking of publicly accessible archives, in the sense of something akin to User_talk:SUIT/Archive 1. Further information at Wikipedia:How to archive a talk_page. — Whedonette (ping) 19:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's in the warnings archive. Why are you treating me like a new user? I'm not I've been here for a while now.--SUIT 19:05, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Here are all of the pages in your userspace. Here are all of the pages in your user talkspace. I see no "warnings archive." Again, I refer you to the link I posted above, regarding talk page archival policy. — Whedonette (ping) 19:09, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you're looking for a link to the archive, here it is. // Sasuke-kun27 19:10, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you edit under more than one Wikipedia account? That's extremely frowned upon. "[G]enerally considered uncool unless you have a good reason." — Jimbo Wales (Wikipedia founder) At the very least, you should be appropriately labeling each of your talk pages. — Whedonette (ping) 19:16, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
