Speedy deletion nomination of New Jersey Hammerheads
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on New Jersey Hammerheads requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 02:17, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
- While it may be a real and legitimate team it does not mean it is a notable one. Mkdwtalk 07:10, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:New Jersey Hammerheads Team Logo.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:New Jersey Hammerheads Team Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 05:28, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

You could do with more independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. The article New York Empire (AUDL) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No evidence of independent notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JTtheOG (talk) 20:53, 25 May 2019 (UTC)

The article Rochester Dragons has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No evidence of notability, not even a good team as far as I can tell. Fails WP:GNG. Google search yields very weak results. Even articles that talk about them are local papers that include ticket prices/links to their site, etc at the end of the story.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
