[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Table saw . Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 18:07, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
Hi there Arjayay,
Thanks for letting me know. I'm new here, and accidentally misread the editorial guidelines the first time around. We won't have any more issues going forward.
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Dovetail joint , you may be blocked from editing. Velella Velella Talk 16:43, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello Velella,
Thank you for bringing these to my attention. I'd like to understand what the issue is. Please clarify, are the edits considered promotional because I included a brand name in the entry? Or is it because there are affiliate links on the page my entry links to? Because while there are a few affiliate links on the page, I believe the page itself includes useful information related to the topic and that is what I'd like to pass on to Wikipedia readers.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Kind regards,
Cam Russo
