Howard Benson discography
[edit]Hi,
Perhaps a more practical solution for the long Howard Benson discography section is to make it a collapsed table instead of writing a separate article which might get challenged on grounds of notability and perhaps deleted. For example, look at this table in an article I worked on for some time: Camille and Kennerly Kitt#Single Releases. The reader just has to click on Show to see it. I would actually delete that entire section with the singles if I had my way but that's a separate matter. My point is that no one can tell you that the discography section is too long if the default setting for the table is collapsed. However, the material does need to be sourced, at least to some degree. I hope that helps. Dontreader (talk) 23:09, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Dontreader: Hey, there! Thanks for the input - I never considered a hidden table and will be sure to use that in the future. However, I created the page (Howard Benson production discography) based on Wikipedia:Requested_articles/music#Discographies requesting it to be created, and I adhered to the style of many of the entries featured on Category:Production discographies. These production discographies include all works rather than a selected discography of his best work, because the latter reads more like a PR one-sheet than an encyclopedia. Thanks again for the suggestion! Paul1612 (talk) 17:31, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- Well done! That makes sense. If Unwilling to Explain is an album then it should be italicized and without quotation marks, but the rest looks really cool! I wish I had time to help, but I currently don't. It would be great if you could add more references from other reliable sources if some of the credits are not found on the AllMusic page. Then you could remove the tags. All the best, Dontreader (talk) 17:48, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Dontreader: Thanks for catching that! I'll make changes accordingly. Paul1612 (talk) 17:59, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
