Tommy Reilly
Welcome to Wikipedia. However, I would advise not hijacking the title Tommy Reilly by redirecting it to another article. The article on Tommy Reilly the harmonica player is long established, and he was a very notable musician. The Scottish singer/songwriter may or may not deserve an article, but you must not put a redirect on an existing article about a different person. If you continue, it will be classed as vandalism, and you could be blocked from editing. Peridon (talk) 14:56, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Not a bad idea. I think they usually like three things on one but worth a try. The other way is to put something like: This article is about the classical harmonica player. For the Scottish singer/songwriter go to [[ ]]. (Your page link in there.) This goes in italics at the top of Tommy Reilly, who does have first claim. You could do a reverse one on your page if you feel like. There's probably a template for doing it, but I've never needed to do it yet! BTW, to sign your posts on talk pages and such, type four tildes ~ at the end. Signs for you. Peridon (talk) 20:16, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- If it does get called that, you were following advice. Looks OK to me. You'll find many people here are willing to help if asked. Ploughing on regardless isn't well-liked. Hope you enjoy editing here, and feel free to ask if there's anything you're not sure about. I probably won't know, but there are ways of finding out. Peridon (talk) 21:07, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Your speedy deletion nominations
Thanks, I went ahead and deleted it, since the user had time to update the article. At the same time, please do try to be careful not to treat new editors harshly, since they may not yet be familiar with Wikipedia policies, and we want to give them time to come up to speed. Re: Speedy Deletion of Karmakanic
This hardly justifies SPEEDY deletion. While you may faily make you say in the deletion of the page, I feel there is no reason to stomp something before it even begins to grow.
Furthermore, the article on speedy deletion that you tagged it with explains: "The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source. If the claim's credibility is unclear, you can improve the article yourself, propose deletion, or list the article at articles for deletion."
And the article contains the text: "Karmakanic have garnered considerable attention in the Dutch progressive rock community"
dprp.net is most certainly a credible source concerning the dutch progressive rock community. - Floydian (talk) 17:45, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- I don't feel it was harsh (I'm sure there are plenty of bands posting themselves that do indeed need deletion), I just feel it was hasty and unnecessary of being deleted speedily. I will fill in plenty of notability in the next several days to bring it up to snuff. - Floydian (talk) 18:06, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Articles needing translation
Hi NPervez :). I noticed that you added the {{notenglish}} template to the article Rumah aku, but didn't add the language. Adding the language to the template e.g. {{notenglish|Malay}} will help it to be dealt with more quickly. If you don't recognise the language, you can check it here. You should also follow the instructions in the bottom section of the template to add an entry to the list on Pages needing translation into English. reality/variety
Good question. The way I look at it is like this: if a North American/European entertainer shows up on a talk show, it's not really notable cuz it's a one-time thing, for the most part. If, for example, we listed off a movie star's talk show appearances, it would be a huge, trivial list. However, if it's a (semi-)permanent role (for example, Paris Hilton hosting her own reality series, or Ellen hosting her own show), then it should be noted. Because Korean stars (well, Asian stars in general) love promoting themselves on variety shows, they're not really notable, unless they become a "permanent" member. I hope that makes sense. :) SKS (talk) 16:42, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

SS501
HELLO! well...by looking at your ss501 wikipedia page, i felt that there were much to add. I did not delete any of what you have already written but merely just added more to it, eg. they have won much more awards than what you have already written..
So basically, what i really did was contribute to ur article and included more informations than what you have not yet written. So please..really.. you are deleting everything that i have written eg. the awards ><
Oh and btw..may i ask..how r the lyrics and compositions a fan trivia wen it is actually factual and real information abt their singing career. I do agree that the music videos are not necessary..however others such as the awards are also factual.. so there is reli no need to delete them
ANyhow..these are the things that I have added and i hope that we can discuss them instead of just deleting them..thank you!
Iv added the lyrics and compositions as i feel that it is a vital information about their singing career... Added more awards

TVXQ had it removed with little uproar. I believe the general consensus is that if the members have their own page, there should be no need for duplicate material on the main group page. hiie, i would need a little request into adding a picture for korean boy band, beast
I saw you editing to the correct version of beast mini album cd, i thanks you for that, I kinda get a hang of wiki updates stuffs, but im still lost as to how to add pictures and such, would you mind if you can add a picture for beast? at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beast_(South_Korean_band)? please, your effort would be appreciated by me , hahahs. despite how many pictures i uploaded, it dont seem to last for more than a day, so I would appreciate your help, thanks (: Nicky456 (talk) 16:17, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
whats the meaning to dance career , history and such?
sorry, but for beast wikipedia from the group to their mini album , is all done by me, except for the first paragraph, which is done by others so I just edited it, I did refer to a few other k-pop bands for more information like TVXQ, Big Bang , 2pm and SS501, but after checking here and there by using the template,I sort of understand how to use it, but I still dont get it to the history and dancing style and so, since theres no news articles on it, I cant really give a reference, as for the group picture, prolly im giving that up, and yes, i did steal your template, lols, i dont really learn step by step instead go to people user page and use it as template, i got to say, wiki is kinda hard to use, eitherways, I think you edited some stuffs to beast again? im checking the wiki almost everyday, and for your info, I did save all my work into microsoft document, so i need not redo everything, as for the TV show, those shows is already up on youtube or its in the internation forum for downloads. Okay I make it sees as though the whole beast page is made by me, but thats the fact . I did put in tons of hard work in it (: Nicky456 (talk) 02:47, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
so you mean, if they have one or two more album , i can add in the discography?, erm, cause the MS just seems to keep "going against" me and he said a good article is something like tvxq or shinee wiki , so i used that as reference, erm, and I wanna ask another thing... http://newsen.com/news_view.php?news_uid=384857 this news mentioned about hyun seung used to be in big bang, doo joon used to be in hotblood , it can be used as reference to members section right? cause MS says i need source... so im now getting resources hopfully i got it right this round? okays im still kinda lost, im now gathering sources for kikwang / gikwang , since his page is already there, and i will be adding in slowly.. and again , g-dragon ,2pm messages to beast is it considered minor? its under the same news, check it out, and .. get back to me (: so i can edit it , if its allowed? And er, did you just removed the behind scenes manager selfcams of beast? i thought i gave the reference.. once the page you entered, you can basically see those vids, why is it not allowed?Nicky456 (talk) 10:46, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

so, the part where you said citation needed to "On October 16, they made their television debut on KBS Music Bank with the promotional single, "Bad Girl"" Its a live debut >_>" not a television again.. I hope you understand these, okay, for the pre-debut, I got you, I will make a section prolly later or tomorrow (: now can you checked against the korean article and tell me if citation is still needed ? since the english translation is all written down here, as for support message, is it considered trival?Nicky456 (talk) 11:27, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

- Colorful history and endless attempts of idols. -
Beast was already well aware of the rules in the Idol World being a 6 member group. Of course, their before debut story has been published a million times. Jang Hyun Seung was known as a member of the group BIGBANG, SonDongWoon might be one of 2PM or 2AM. Lee KiKwang, who already was a solo artist as AJ and now he is acting as SeHo on MBC <Highkick Through the Roof>, already know the taste of the spotlight. Group's rapper Yong JunHyung was trusted to write his own rap on the debut single "BAD GIRL" and known for great UCC videos before his debut, Yang YoSeob who spent lots of years as trainee. Yong JunHyung said "We don't have the HYUNG (older brother) in the group, we are all friends (the same age) and if we have problems, leader gathers everyone together and said "Let's Talk", It's an awkward situation but we do it just like campers. Someone's going to have to do it" Not to mention, Leader DooJoon sometimes doesn't have anything to say.
its from 10asia news.. i believe i did reference on it already... so yeah, leave that part alone? Nicky456 (talk) 02:43, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
okay if you say so, i will leave it there, as long those impt news is not removed, but big bang wiki did mentioned that their album is written by them or whatsoever http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Since_2007 one of which, quoting "Some of the songs were written and composed by the members themselves, most notably G-Dragon. " 1st, it has no source, 2nd its the same case as beast right no? Nicky456 (talk) 12:51, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

F.cuz Wikipage Contributions
Hi! Thank you for your contributions to the F.cuz wikipedia page. We have looked through your edits and made the appropriate changes and we look forward to working with you in the future. For your future reference, sources listed as "F.cuz Official Fancafe" are the most reliable due to the fact that the fancafe is the website maintained by CAN&J's Entertainment itself. News from them is the most reliable news there is. Thank you once again, have a good day! —Preceding unsigned comment added by CoCoBeAn91 (talk • contribs) 17:27, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Please read this article for what is considered a reliable source. An entertainment corporation can lie about events and achievements concerning them so they fail the WP:RS guidelines. Just reverting my edits make no sense since that version was much more concise & fan trivia free. Things like the fashion concepts of "Jiggy", have no importance in the article, it doesn't fall under 'Image', since it is only for one song's concept. Member profiles are unnecessary since most of the info is the pre debut section already and bear no importance to the article, if you look at an article like TVXQ, which has been nominated as a good article by the Wikipedia community, it has no individual member profiles this is similar to the B2ST & Big Bang articles. Plus, by reverting my edits, you removed categories which is needed for an article. If you have any questions please ask. But please understand that you do not own articles, the F.cuz article is not yours, carrying on to act like it does could get you blocked. NPeeerbvsesz (Push) 18:36, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Okay so I was just trying to be polite when I was writing that. Thanks for responding as if I was a freaking idiot. (/sarcasm.) Not all of the information in the member section was in the Predebut section - things like their ages, their real names, that kind of stuff. I completely understand that I do not own the wikipedia page. All the information about the interview with the stylist DOES relate to their image, as he is not just talking about the fashion concepts for "Jiggy". You know you're ruining what should be a really good day for me (F.cuz is debuting), right? If you feel you know so much more about the group and what is important about them than us, feel free to take control of this project. Have a good day. --CoCoBeAn91 (talk) 20:19, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- I'm a F.cuz fan too, the song has pretty much got me infected. But alot of the info in the article fell under fan trivia. The image part needed to be more concise since it had excessive spacing. Plus regarding the Jiggy concept part, the info regarding the overall style is okay, but there are parts of that section which talk about only Jiggy which is fairly non notable for mention. I hope i haven't deterred you from editing just letting you know. Plus the ages and names of the members fall under fan trivia as well since that info is already mentioned in the infobox. + npervez ☂ 20:24, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Their ages and names aren't in the infobox. That's just their stage names! >_< Also, there's enough info for the members of DBSK to have their own pages. That's not the case here. 2PM's page also has a member section with that basic info. I can see your point about the excessive spacing but was it really necessary to edit out what wasn't just about Jiggy from the Image section? If you hadn't noticed, we spent a lot of time on this article. To wake up and have pretty much everything you wrote erased, with what's left completely re-written is a really bad feeling and it completely ruined my day. If you're a fan you should join Fcuzed forum, by the way. We're in contact with the staff from CAN&J's. --CoCoBeAn91 (talk) 20:37, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- I understand where you're coming from, but whatever you add in Wikipedia will be edited mercilessly regardless of how long you spend on it. Articles like Girls' Generation & B2ST do not have member sections and are pretty good articles. A member section isn't absolutely necessary. Ages and names are not notable for a mention since it has no effect on the group itself. If Kan is 18, how does this affect the whole group? It's those kind of questions you have to ask to judge whether something is notable for mention in the article. Regarding the image section, I thinks its best that the section remains concise as it is atm, since not much is known about F.cuz's style apart from the fact that it is 'unique', until more has been published it'd be best to leave it like that since big quotes aren't really suitable & a concept for just one song isn't worth mentioning, since it is more than likely they'll change their style again. Oh yeah, I'm already a member of the F.cuzed forums :D + npervez ☂ 21:03, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Fine. Whatever. You take over the stupid page. >_> If you're an Fcuzed member, why didn't you ever offer your help on the Wikipedia discussion thread?--CoCoBeAn91 (talk) 21:16, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- I never realised it, well before now. I didn't get the time to give the forum a good look over. Plus, I don't want to take over the page, of all things I just monitor K-Pop pages. + npervez ☂ 21:25, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Well in this case you've edited it so much I can barely see anything I wrote. If that's going to happen every time the page is updated, you might as well take it over. --CoCoBeAn91 (talk) 21:27, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Monitoring doesn't mean I can't edit pages. Plus, I don't own the page. You're free to make contribution's I'm not stopping you from editing but there are rules to follow. + npervez ☂ 21:30, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

- It felt as if that was what you were saying. Regardless, I apologise if you've been offended. I know that you've put a lot of effort into the page, however not everything was suitable. I did keep all the sources you gave, all the external links you gave, pretty much all the information and just decrufted it. Pretty much all of the article is your stuff tbh. + npervez ☂ 21:40, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry, was there a problem with the Hyoyeon page that caused it not to be linked with the Girls' Generation page? I'm just wondering why it's fine with the other girls, but not her, thanks. Novure (talk) 03:48, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- My reasons for the redirect are found on the article's talkspace. Though, overall Hyoyeon has done little to no activities outside Girls' Generation to establish notability. Apart from the non notable dance show win, what else has she done that makes her pass WP:ENTERTAINER or WP:BAND? + TNW 15:11, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- Does the show Dream Team count? Some other people and I are still working on the page gradually. We simply wanted a page for Hyoyeon since afterall, she is a part of Girls' Generation.Novure (talk) 16:18, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'm afraid, no. Her Dream Team appearance was a one of event, since Idols love to promote themselves with one off appearances, it is hardly considered notable. Sorry, if she were to have a permanent position on a notable show, then she may pass some notability requirements. Please see WP:ENTERTAINER and WP:BAND to see whether Hyoyeon meets these guidelines. I think the fact that she is part of Girls' Generation doesn't give it an instant grant for an individual article, if she were to be part of two notable groups, then that would warrant an article. At the moment, I'm edging against the page tbh. But by all means, If you can prove that she meets notability requirements, go ahead. + TNW 19:17, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:31, 25 September 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Dance Like a White Boy
The article Dance Like a White Boy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Richhoncho (talk) 22:09, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
