Thank you for deflecting vandals from my user page

I edit a small wiki for a local community in my city so in a way I'm an experienced editor (from a technical point of view) but I'm still new to wikipedia and it is very encouraging to know that the great majority of wikipedia editors really care. --ProperManner 02:46, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't waste your time.

Warning a school-ip page is the equivalent to pissing in the wind. Give 'em the warning template and then report them. Anything beyond that is wasting seconds you could be using to accomplish something... HalfShadow 19:44, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ummm, what I wrote wasn't vandalism, and I was about to remove it when you did.

What happened was that I was pointing out what I recalled from newspapers such as the Cranbury Press and the Sentinel. So what happened? The Cranbury Press articles past 2 weeks turned out to be premium (pay) articles, meaning it was tough to get a lock on a source that supported my assertation that the municipal governments of Jamesburg, New Jersey and Monroe, New Jersey were against the MOM line.

This line is pretty controversial. Me, well, I'm a Monroe Townshipper who also lives in New Brunswick, and I'm in favor of MOM. The trouble is, most Middlesex County townspeople appear to be against it (I'm not sure if South Brunswick is in Middlesex, but I'm sure Monroe and Jamesburg are), while most Monmouth and Ocean County people are supposed to be for it. At least that's how I remember newspapers such as the "Sentinel" and the "Cranbury Press" spun it.

So lay off it - that wasn't vandalism. 204.52.215.107 00:58, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AIV warnings

Hey, thanks for your fine anti-vandalism work. Keep it up! We need all the help we can get. You might not tell them, though, when you report them to AIV [2]. The risk is they figure out what's going on and remove themselves from the list before a sysop can block. Unfortunately we're not too fast about responding to that list, and a smart vandal may figure out how to evade a block. Just a thought. Cheers, NHRHS2010!--Chaser - T 20:03, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding User: 221.148.48.216

Greetings, NHRHS2010. I am sorry to bring this to your attention, but I see you have dealt with IP 221.148.48.216 earlier. Due to continued and widespread abuses, I have reported this IP to Suspected Sock Puppets. In addition to blanking the IP talk page of warnings, this IP has improperly used multiple user accounts. The abuse continues; my report of sockpuppetry is here: [3] if you have the time to contribute. The abuse and multiple 3-RR reverts continues.

Thank you for your attention. Enigma3542002 11:10, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Allendale train station.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Allendale train station.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:09, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations

Hey, congratulations on your 3000th edit!! Have fun editing under the new name!

(class of 09 is better than 2010) (just kidding) :)

Anyways, keep up the good work and good luck. -- Hdt83 Chat 05:40, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discovery

This, I just discovered today. I promise I'll try to avoid causing more edit conflicts! GDonato (talk) 17:10, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As a corollary to "assume good faith", it's generally not good to preemptively tell people not to vandalize. It doesn't deter real vandals. On top of that, User:NHRHS2010/prr is pretty annoying because of your use of CSS for absolute positioning. Could you consider making it a bit less obtrusive, please? —dgiestc 00:12, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your userpage/talk page

Hi! I like your userpage, especially the hovering "don't vandalize" message, but I think you should move it to the side (it's a bit distracting when reading the rest of your page). If this is just on my browser, and on yours it appears to the side, then don't bother. :) Also, I'm a bit concerned by the message "VANDALIZING THIS TALK PAGE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Violators will be blocked from editing Wikipedia", because they won't be blocked if they vandalize your talk page (if it's just the first or second time, of course). Maybe you can say "Please don't vandalize here, as it will only get you into trouble" or something similar instead. If you have any questions (about this or anything else), leave me a message. See you around! · AndonicO Talk 00:00, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations

I'm sorry that I didn't get to respond to you about your 3,000th edit because here in California we have to the California Standards Tests. Congratulations and I hope you can get to 5,000 edits soon. I'm currently in my 500s, but I'm pretty sure I would catch up when I'm your age. LADodgersAngelsfan 19:25, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't revert any vandalism for a long time because I have to help Hornberry edit the 2007 Los Angeles Dodgers season page. I probably would do it again sometime in summer since I have enough time to edit the 2007 Los Angeles Dodgers season page and revert vandalism. LADodgersAngelsfan 19:28, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On your user page it said you are graduating high school in 2010 which means you are in 9th grade. When I said I would probably catch up with you when I'm your age I meant two years later. LADodgersAngelsfan 19:44, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did you remember 9999a9999 vandalized our talk page by puting warnings? We were lucky we weren't blocked by him. Do you think it had been much better having him blocked by the help of Hdt83 and Natalie Erin. LADodgersAngelsfan 20:06, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there; I have seen you around quite a lot as ***. Thank you for your praise; it is much appreciated as I, and I suspect other admins, mostly only get abuse and flak. But we do notice positive comments.--Anthony.bradbury 21:45, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About your 3,500th edit

Congratulations on you 3,500th edit. I have a lot of school projects recently and I can't edit Wikipedia as much as I did one month ago. I also calculated at this rate you would make 10,000 edits it approximately 6 1/2 months, which means you would reach your milestone a little more than 4 months later. I think you would definitely get to 10,000 in October. Keep up the good work. LADodgersAngelsfan 06:19, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My IP messages

You recently sent me a message to my IP, 66.31.225.37.

I, Arknascar44 AM that IP. I just find it slightly strange for me to be editing my own user page under my account, not because of my personal opinions on editing, but because someone might consider that to be vain or pushy, as they might consider that I could be doing other productive things other than changing my own user page. I just don't want to be looked down upon as pushy or self-centered by the community.

Congratulations on your 4000th edit

I almost have 600 edits right now. Do you now what is wrong with the userboxes? I asked Hdt83, but I don't think he/she has that much time to respond to me. I also want to know if Hdt83 knows that my old username is 55555five55555. Can you please ask him? LADodgersAngelsfan 01:27, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How do you find a milestone edit by using the tool you gave me? I clicked on the 4000 thing you put and it automatically went to your editing statistics. I found out that the most edits it shows is 45000. Is there any way to find the actual amount of edits you made after 45000. I'm not concerned about it right now, but I'm pretty sure you would reach that milestone in about 4 years. LADodgersAngelsfan 01:31, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
