However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Hi Mvcg66b3r. For future reference, you can use {{Db-g7}} to request that files you have uploaded be deleted instead of going to FfD. Thanks, Fastily 03:36, 10 February 2024 (UTC)

WWTO

re: WWTO and WLPD-CD edits. Sorry, no such linkable citation exists. I have personally tuned and mapped all the channels. This is not the sort of thing that would generally have a citation available. 104.3.217.165 (talk) 05:15, 16 February 2024 (UTC)

If this is a national change, I wonder if other TBN stations are affected. I also would suggest you write to RabbitEars to get that listing fixed. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 06:45, 16 February 2024 (UTC)

KBHK

I linked to scanned images of Bay Area TV schedules from the first week of October, 1989. How many other sources do you need? I'm currently working on scanning Mercury News schedules from the '90s and should have the scans uploaded to Archive.org in the next few weeks. 98.234.13.133 (talk) 22:08, 17 February 2024 (UTC)

You might want to ask @Sammi Brie: if you need help. Also, your edits could use some work. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 22:11, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
Hi there! I looked at what you added, and it doesn't really mesh. A reference to a schedule just isn't enough for inclusion. If the syndicated shows were described in published articles as helping ratings, we'd have a different story. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 22:41, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
The correct procedure for dealing with questionably sourced claims is to add a "possibly contains original research" tag at the top of the article or "citation needed" tags after the individual disputed claims, and then give interested readers a few weeks to accumulate sources. Correct procedure is NOT to indiscriminately delete half of the article! 98.234.13.133 (talk) 01:06, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

WILX-TV and articles like it

There are certain cases like WILX-TV in which I through-write the news operation and history sections, essentially integrating news into history.

I will do this where...

  • The station had multiple different attempts at news (e.g. KDAF). If the station currently has news, the News operation section should only cover the current incarnation of news.
  • There is insufficient material on the news operation alone, particularly for a small-market station (e.g. KIDY). In some cases, this is because news history may bolster the recent non-news history, which otherwise would be insubstantial.
  • There is a very strong correlation between changes in station history and news department changes (e.g. WYOU, WLFL). WILX falls in this category. An article may be considered for this if I feel like I would be saying the same historical facts twice.
  • There is some other good reason to vary the structure of the article (e.g. the level-2 headers of WWJ-TV reflect the WGPR/WWJ time divide).
