Welcome!

Hello, عبد المؤمن, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Michael Heart, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted (if it hasn't already).

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Speedy deletion of Michael Heart

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Michael Heart requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 19:31, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Alsukari requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Hi. When you recently edited Order (group theory), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Set (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Template:Lang-x/doc

[edit]

Hello! Please could you help me understand this edit? Because this documentation sub-page is transcluded into the documentation for several templates, the same interwiki you added appears on all of those templates. Examples include: Template:Lang-fr, Template:Lang-nl and Template:Lang-es. Unfortunately I don't read Arabic, so I don't understand why the page you linked to applies to all of these different languages. In fact, it is not clear to me that this page is a template at all. Was this your intention? Thanks. – Wdchk (talk) 16:30, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was trying to add the interwiki for the widely used latin language template on the Arabic wikipedia, but that page is locked for editing. Yes it is a template (قالب) --عبد المؤمن (talk) 17:14, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your response on my talk page under the heading "template:Lang-la". (I have copied it here so we can keep the discussion together in one place.) I see now the problem you experienced. Very often, adding the interwikis to the template's documentation subpage would indeed be the best thing to do. In this case, the documentation subpage is shared across many templates. Since the interwiki target corresponds specifically to Template:Lang-la, wouldn't it be better to have the link added to that template only? That way you could avoid the link appearing incorrectly on all the other related templates. Since the template is protected, you could ask an administrator to make the change. You can see the instructions for this on the "View source" tab, and a link to "Submit an edit request". If you make such a request, I suggest leaving a note for the administrator explaining why the interwiki can't go on the documentation subpage. Thanks. – Wdchk (talk) 01:46, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good, thanks for informing me of the 'request edit' feature. --عبد المؤمن (talk) 13:29, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The trouble is that an editor really wanted it to be capitalized, so rewrote it to be about Ring Road, a road that is part of Cairo's ring road. Bit of a mess, really, but not as easily fixed as your edit. Dicklyon (talk) 04:43, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

State of Palistine

[edit]

Why did you change the Coat of arms used on the State of Palestine article? If your referring to this discussion all that found was some sources that some PNA websites used that CoA, we can't be sure that the State even uses it. Besides to change the CoA in the state article but not the Authority article implies that this one in the version used by the State and the other one by the Authority, which is case not the case scene the Authority uses it. Well, the WMF only understands force. One of the weapons they use is that the staff is empowered by the WMF board which represents X, Y and Z categories. The petition already has more signatures than the WMF board trustees had supporters; if it reached, say, 1500 signatures than it would clearly be more legitimate than the whole WMF. It's not impossible to reach the goal, but everything is impossible if one doesn't try to do what one believes right. :) --Nemo 18:38, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed your recent edit to Air Mauritanie does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Jetstreamer Talk 21:38, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Arab International Bank, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay.
