Debi Diamond
[edit]Regarding your edits to the Debi Diamond article, I have reverted all your edits. If you are the real Ms. Diamond, I'd like to ask that you do a couple things. First, please see Wikipedia's policy on autobiographies. The "Problems in an article about you" section will probably be of the highest concern. And second, please bring up any concerns that you have with the Diamond article on the article's talk/discussion page. Thank you, Dismas|(talk) 15:03, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- I just realized that I didn't really explain why I reverted your edits. The policy that I was adhering to is the Neutral Point of View policy. Regards, Dismas|(talk) 15:11, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- Ms. Diamond, I'd like to help in any way that I can. Though the best first step for you is not with me. I suggest you read the "Problems in an article about you" section of Wikipedia's policy on autobiographies. The first sentence of that gives you an email address that you can write to with your concerns. They will be able to confirm that you are who you say you are as well as make lasting changes to the article about you here. If you have any questions about anything here, please feel free to ask me but for now, contacting that email address is the best thing you can do.
- And once you've worked with them to confirm your identity and the information in the article, I hope that you will consider donating an image for use in your article. I would be happy to help you with putting it into the article. Regards, Dismas|(talk) 05:46, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Miss debi diamond, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages: user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for businesses.
If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page in question and leave a note on this page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calton | Talk 17:08, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Username blocked
[edit]- Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Because Wikipedia does not allow any form of spam or other promotion of people, products, companies or other groups (even non-commercial or charitable ones). Wikipedia's use for such purposes will result in the blocking of the account involved. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for our rules about this.
In addition, user accounts are for individuals only, not for companies or groups or other collective editing. Your username should reflect this. Usernames that appear to be promotional (such as those that make reference to a company or product) violate our username policy and are typically blocked to enforce that policy.
- What can I do now?
If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will probably not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
If you do intend to make contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below this message box. - Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Tell us what new username you want to use. Please make sure that your new username does not violate our username policy and check that it has not already been taken (click here to search).
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below this message box and replace the text "Your reason here" with the reason why. See also Wikipedia:Appealing a block for more information. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 01:48, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
