Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Mikenota, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Conservatism in the United States
[edit]Hi! I just wanted to let you know that this article is a controversial one, so when you edit make sure that you're editing as neutrally as possible and that you're using the best possible sourcing, which will usually be academic and scholarly sourcing (ie, peer-reviewed journals and books put out through academic presses). If your work is reverted, don't re-add it without discussing this on the article's talk page with the other editor(s) and resolving the issue. It's basically the same things that should be done on any page, however what makes this a bit different is that because it's seen as controversial on Wikipedia it's just scrutinized a bit more. You can absolutely still edit the page, I just wanted to give you a head's up. Cheers! --Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:46, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
