[edit]Thanks for checking the references. However, how does a Youtube time link work in a reference? What do I have to add?Tintor2 (talk) 19:33, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
- If we reference a book, we'll mark a page number so the referenced material is easy to find. Same for a video -- instead of watching a long video, having a time stamp that locates the referenced material in the video makes it easy to find the material and verify the reference. If the information appears at 3 minutes, 55 seconds into the interview, you can just replace the {{time needed}} template in the reference with "3:55" for the time= paramter. Hope that helps! :) -- Mikeblas (talk) 21:54, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Hello there, this guy has been making repeated vandalism on the featured page please help! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/14.192.213.243 Evildestroyer123 (talk) 00:12, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
- I've marked the page protected for a few days. Please let me know if there are any problems with the reduced access -- also @Larry Hockett: and @Goszei:, please. It's my first time setting a protection. :) -- Mikeblas (talk) 00:32, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
- Looks fine as far as I can tell. Thanks for doing so. Larry Hockett (Talk) 00:35, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
Hey there! I saw that you reverted part of my edit to 1 William Street, Brisbane. I was just wondering how come? I thought that I referenced ISPT's page on 1 William Street where they list 318 car parks? ItsPugle (talk) 22:28, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hello! The reference you entered was this code:
<ref name="ISPLT"/>
. Thing is, no reference is named "ISPLT" is defined anywhere in the article. Now that I've typed that out, I realize you might have meant to reference the "ISPT" reference that is defined in the article. If we look at the article after your edit, we see a red error message in the references section that says "Cite error: The named reference ISPLT was invoked but never defined (see the help page).". Is that true? If so -- then the fix is simple ... we just need to replace the correctly-spelled reference name (there's no ell in it!) and it's all set. -- Mikeblas (talk) 23:14, 25 May 2020 (UTC)- Hahaha, whoops! I'll go through and fix that :) ItsPugle (talk) 23:33, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks. Sorry -- I probably should've figured it out. I really did go looking for similarly named references in your edit, but I just didn't find it. Thanks for the fix! -- Mikeblas (talk) 23:34, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- All good! It's not your fault or anything like that :) ItsPugle (talk) 23:36, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
