Edit to MHP Communications page

Hi Mike - it looks to me there's a mistake in your recent edit to the MHP Communications page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MHP_Communications

MHP does public affairs work, not public administration, and so the previous version of the page had the right phrase in it. (I know http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outline_of_public_affairs says that the two are the same, but in this sector the two phrases means different things). I've not reverted or amended your edit for COI reasons as I work at MHP Communications myself, but perhaps you could look again at the change? Thanks.

Of the different flavors of public affairs, which does the firm perform? Problem is, the link supplied in the article referencing the claim that the company is a "public affairs and public administration" company doesn't provide any description of the specific endeavors of the company. And that link seems to refer to The Engine Group and not MHP specifically, anyway. If you'd like, you can always fix the page yourself; it's just a matter of getting the link to the right description of "public affairs" -- which might include removing the link altogether, if no adequate article exists on Wikipedia. -- Mikeblas (talk) 15:39, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for replying so quickly Mike. It's a bit like opening a can of worms, as the list of different definitions on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_affairs isn't a great one (or perhaps rather reflects too US-centric a view, as I'm speaking mainly from British experience). In the UK 'public affairs' is similar to 'lobbying' and the phrase 'public administration' isn't used to cover these sorts of activities. Sounds like the simplest edit therefore is to simply remove the link from the MHP page and using 'public affairs' as the wording there. I'll go make that change.

Re Engine Group - they are the owners of MHP, which is one of several companies they own. Markpackuk (talk) 10:54, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
