Iguana

Hi. A couple of days ago you removed the image that I had upoaded to the Iguana article, saying that the genus was wrongly described. When I took the picture in Mexico recently I was told that it was a Mexican spiny-taled iguana, and had no reason to believe otherwise. As you would appear to be something of an expert on the subject could you please tell me what it actually is, so that, in the interests of accuracy, I can change the description. WP:Cutlery tweaks

Oi Mike, I've added a To-Do template to the WP page, and also put up a (not yet functioning) Shortcut templates. Before we get too deep into setting up the project, I would like to put out an opinion that "WP:BLADES" might be more descriptive. "Cutlery" sounds kind of like flatware to a lot of people, and "Blaes" might get the same gist (allowing swords, axes, razors, etc as well as knives) in a clearer way. I would suggest calling it WP:BLADES and having a redirect from WP:KNIVES (not yet created). Same way that WP:GUNS redirects to WP:FIREARMS. What do you think? And does the current To-Do template work for you? WP:GUNS uses it and it seems a really effective way of sorting ideas. MatthewVanitas (talk) 19:01, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Could you add a specific page url of where you found it to the image's page please? The reason I ask is because it looks like a scan from a book. Like how authors sometimes show pictures of themselves in the back of the book. While I appreciate your status as an "Iron Editor", I do believe that members are encouraged to make changes and to "be bold". Statement directly from the welcome page that you referred me to: Remember - you can't break Wikipedia; all edits can be reversed, fixed or improved later. So go ahead, edit an article and help make Wikipedia the best information source on the Internet! - I agreed with some of your edits to the SOG specialty knives article as founded and respect them and let them be, however it seems that you have taken some of my edits personal, (referring to the semi rude talk message that you sent to me). I hope that by using the term "our encyclopedia", you truly mean ours and don't see newcomers as outsiders. I don't believe that you have the right to direct me to whatever section that you see fit for me on the site, I would leave those types of decisions to the administrator(s). In the future please handle disputes that you have with my edits by making changes to the articles themselves, instead of sending discouraging talk messages. Thanks for the words Mike. I understand where you are coming from. This is why I didn't change most of the items that you edited in the article. While I believe that I did not necessarily state an opinion, I will concede that some folks may take it as one and therefore will argue this point no more. As you can imagine, the template comes off a little condescending. But getting past that, I believe that the SOG specialty knives article is fitting as it is between your edits and mine for the time being and we can leave it as is. Again thanks for taking the time to analyze the situation. If most Wikipedia issues can be resolved in such a manner, I will be glad to be a member for some time. Lesser Antillean Iguana

My interest just got sparked after moving to one of their habitats last month; this weekend I saw them eating mangoes in our neighbor's tree. Let me know if you have any tips on how best to find/observe them. There's a sign not too far away from my house cautioning that their nesting ground is near, something I definitely intend to check out. Colt Lever Action

In the 1880s, Colt produced a .44-40 lever action rifle designed by Andrew Burgess. The story goes that Colt stopped production of the Burgess rifle due to a quid pro quo agreement with Winchester that the latter would not begin producing revolvers.
