Thanks for your recent comments to my talkpage. I have been a little busy so I didn't respond as quickly as I normally like. Apologies for that. I did glance at your article, and as the hold notice states, the lead section of the article needs expanding. In general the lead should introduce the subject, and establish the subjects notability, in summery form. Notability is the things this person did above and beyond the norm. And it has to be verifiable in some independent publication with a good editorial record of fact checking their own prose. If you have questions about Wikipedia and any project you are working, the live help at irc://freenode/wikipedia-en-help is a valuable resource. Mutual appreciation

Hello Michaeljamesadams. Thank you for the exceedingly kind words added to my talk-page. It is your positive attitude which prompted my interest in the article you submitted through WP:AFC. Dan McGalliard is an article on my own watchlist as I also intend to monitor its progress as well as make future improvements. I do hope you understand that I changed the title from "Dan McGalliard, inventor/innovator" to Dan McGalliard because disambiguation was not necessary. In the absence of such a requirement, a WP:BLP is prefered without disambiguation. I did however add Dan McGalliard to List of people from North Carolina, thereby linking the pages and showing him there as an inventor/innovator. Anyway, there are still many improvements to make along the path to featured article status, and much of that improvement, I anticipate, will be made by you. I look forward to seeing these as you progress in your own skills.

As a side note, the things which seem confusing to you now will very soon become second nature as you apply yourself to learning. Four months ago I joined Wikipedia and was as lost, scared, and confused as one could be. It is the help of others which brought me along, and instilled a desire to reciprocate in kind with other new users. I now have reviewer[1] rights which allow me to review articles in an official capacity. So set your own sights high, as goals are attainable, and enthusiasm is welcome and encouraged here. Your user page

Now that the Dan McGalliard article is in the wikipedia "mainspace", you really shouldn't have a copy on your userpage - especially not with the categories showing. You should either blank it (or replace it with other things that we put on userpages, such as basic info about ourselves or shortcuts or similar) or if you really want to keep a version, you could move it to a WP:Subpage, but the article will always be there in the history anyway... and WP:OWN means that once you release it... it ain't yours anymore! Someone tagged the article with WP:COI. If you are related in any way to Dan, then you should read up about what wikipedia expects from editors who may have a conflict of interest, and maybe declare that on your user page. When you see these things -- W P : B L P -- without spaces, you are getting guidance from your fellow editors to look at WP policies. So, your article on Dan should follow WP:BLP. I blanked out the family stuff because you want to protect his privacy. Now if it is relevant and verifiable. then include it. E.g., put it back in. This wikipeding is fun and you should enjoy.
