Hello, I'm PhantomTech. An edit that you recently made to Passi, Iloilo seemed to be a test and it has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. PhantomTech (talk) 01:22, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Old Bells of Passi.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks for uploading File:Passi Church.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 05:39, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to upload media files with false or lacking copyright and source information, as you did at File:Passi Church.jpg, you may be blocked from editing. Please make sure you have read and understood our image use policy before making any further uploads. If you have questions, ask at the copyright question page. Please don't think you can just move your stolen images here after having them removed from Commons. Eeekster (talk) 05:40, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Melvin,

As you may have noticed both here and on Wikimedia Commons, many editors have attempted to get in touch with you regarding your image uploads. While it appears that some of the images you have uploaded to Wikipedia may be your own work, others are very obviously not. Uploading photographs that you found on the internet and claiming them as your own work is a blockable offense, and so your account has been blocked from editing or uploading images for 1 week. This is not a punishment - this is an attempt to get your attention. If you continue to violate image copyrights after this block expires, and you continue to ignore attempts by others to communicate with you, you will be blocked indefinitely. You may appeal this block by adding the text {{Unblock|Your reason here}} to this talk page. Someguy1221 (talk) 10:25, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Travians requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. TheLongTone (talk) 10:28, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Date of photograph

[edit]
File:Https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Panay railways train.png

When was this photo taken? Commons page says "ca. 1980" but User:Peter Horn commented at Panay Railways " ca. 1980? closed in 1942". What should the caption read? "Locomotive No. 109 on a stopover at the Panay Railways Central Train Station on Railway St., Passi City, ca. .... 1980s or 1940s"? --Iloilo Wanderer (talk) 00:20, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Horn cleared up the confusion. He thought that the photo was from the Cebu Line, not Panay. --Iloilo Wanderer (talk) 00:51, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
