Could I invite you over to 3RR talk to hash out the whole user-space exception issue? Thanks! - CHAIRBOY () 19:30, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

sure --mardetanha 22:05, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
continiue... i think he edits war on his user page, actually he didn't know this basic change, do you agree with me or not? but you want giving him an exception to 3RR.. and what do you think about difference between English wikipedia & FaWiki? did you read this idea: (thats happend in "User space"):
  • The best course of action would be for an experienced user to step in and sort it out by getting every one to calm down. Important to remember that admin are never required to enforce 3RR violations with a block. (Personally, I rarely ever block when users 3rr, instead I remind them of the rule, I ask them to revert, and start a discussion. They usually agree. This is usually much more productive in the long run.) Taeedxy 18:11, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Salam Mohsen. As far as i guess you know the azerbaijani language, so could you be so kind to translate this strange sentence? "Russian" azeri told me that, and (to mee) it seems to be some mixture of persian and azeri languages:

Inja bia biraftani, pishik apardi, kuftani.

What is that supposed to mean? Dastet dard nakone.
Max. --FarShmack (talk) 15:33, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

hi you guess is true !! but it is half persian half azeri and some unknown Good equation

inja bia mean come here it is farsi birafatni is unknown! pishik apardi means cat has moved it

kuftani means pushable but in Persian something like a door but in general this sentences means nothing --Mardetanha talk 23:54, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"biraftani" seems tobe bi-raftani , that means "without going" . It may also be "Bir - Haftani " that in Azeri mean "One week" ... Overall it will be that : "Come here for one week , the cat get out your Kofteh" --Alborz Fallah (talk) 21:14, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

West Azerbaijan Province

[edit]

I merely restored the article to the version where the Azeri language was listed first. This had been altered to place Kurdish first by user:Larno Man who appears to have some scores to settle with Turks. see here. (The same user also made a similar change to Azeri people page.) If you are an Azeri -as you claimed to be- and the Azeris are a majority of the province why would you restore the article to a version listing the Azeris in the second place? The order of languages is not in alphabetic order either. I won't bother further with these articles but let me just express my disappointment that this is not the first time I hear someone claiming to be an Azeri yet clearly siding with these Iranians who also happen to look down on them. I thought the Azeris were a Turkic people but perhaps the sources I read are in error.--Nostradamus1 (talk) 00:20, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For your information i live in zanjan which is part of Iranian Azerbaijan provinces.and per this edit i should inform you that is right ! Iranian Azerbaijan didn't use that scrip.mostly we use Arabic alphabets for writing .moreover hamedan originaly is turk province .west azeribian partially azeri ! just i think zanjan and Ardebil and east Azerbaijan are fully azeries.Qardash bilmiram ki sizi turki anliyouruz ya yok man ozum turkam amma cox cox telash ediram ke ta'sobsiz galam.ve heqiqata gure chalisham .ozr istiram benim indi azeri keyboardam yokdu.--Mardetanha talk 01:35, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Nostradamus1! The article is not in a good shape and it is not a high quality article. I admit that. However, my job is not to let some random editors mess it up and make it worse. I just reverted some poor edits and restored the previous version. This doesn't mean that I necessarily agree with all contents of this version. Please assume good faith! I have no preference in ordering Kurds and Azaris in the article. As the common policy in Wikipedia, if Azaris are the majority in this province, they will be mentioned first and if Kurds are the majority of the province they will be mentioned first! Like what I did in Urmia[1], the capital of this province where is overwhelmingly populated by Azeris. You are welcome to improve it by adding some sourced information. I am not sure which ethnic group forms the majority of the province population. You may contribute to this article by clarifying this issue--Larno Man (talk) 07:36, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Agh Khan show jumping trophy Dublin, Ireland

[edit]

Why you revert my edits of Aga Khan Trophy‎, you don't know anything about the history of the trophy. Your not an Irish show jumping fan. It's Ireland's Nations Cup of show jumping, do you know what a Nations Cup is? it's a team compition of four riders and four horses (only 3 best scores count in each of the two rounds of jumping). The late Aga Khan donated the magnificent trophy in 1926, to Dublin Horse Show.[2] - 81.151.3.231 (talk) 22:04, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Mardetanha, thank you for your kind message and offer. You may not believe it, but in the course of the past nearly three years, I have had only two responses to my tens of e-mails sent to Iran (all related to my work on Wikipedia). Be it as it may be, I have experienced the the events of the past two weeks (in connection with my writing of the entry on Unruled Paper (film) - and before that on this: [3]) as so depressing that I just came along to clean my talk page and leave Wikipedia for at least some time (I have written thousands of words on the subject matter of "Unruled Paper (film)" on the talk page of User:Khoikhoi who has kindly taken on himself to mediate between various parties). Kind regards, --BF 22:47, 30 August 2008 (UTC).[reply]

user mani

[edit]

Dear mardetanha, as I know you are in good terms with mani. Please talk him sense, His behavior is insulting. he says that i do not know Persian and wants to teach me Persian. He also thinks that languages like Azeri, Kurdish etc... are not important and Persian should dominate. he also sees Afghans as inferiors. I wonder if wikipedia is such a palce.,. Moreover he does not know Ossetian, and georgian and he reverts all my edits without a sound reseson. he spreads the usage of misspelling in Persian. I am trying to come into some normalization with him, but he thinks that he is too important and goes on with threats and....--Babakexorramdin (talk) 12:02, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Babakexorramdin as i saw it seems a kind of missunderstanding happend between you and mani Both of you are aseet for Wikipedia. As you may know mani is most edited user in fawiki and he is normally is very helpfully person. An as i saw upto know you have been helping Persian related article of enwiki which is very important.so the best way is to grab to common interest area.i will talk to him.And i am sure every thing would be more enjoyable than know. And if you let i will send you email.lets go on this subject there.--Mardetanha talk 13:02, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
thank you. As I first wrote : I respected him:. But his behavior towrads me was disrespectful. It is not up to me to say how much I know. marde tanha jan. have you read what mani wrote? He wanted to chalenge me. Just judge yourself. I respect him but his behavior is childish. But this is not the casse. What worries me is that some people again are putting wrong info on Persian wikipedia. I read Cyrlic and Georgian very well vallah bellah it is Mi-khe-il Sa- a- kash-vi-li, vallah bellah it is I0 rys- ton. I even provided a sound file. Please take care of that. To User:Babakexorramdin: Bla bla bla ... again. I cannot find even one bit of truth in what you wrote here. You are so full of wrong guesses. You made me block both you in fawiki. let's think of what do we have in common.i am sure both you have many thing which help Wikipedia .i really eager to act as mediator among you , of course if you both want me to do.--Mardetanha talk 21:58, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dear marde Tanha jan thank you for your efforts. I have no problem with Mani. But he really should change his behavior and temper. I am only against his edits, which are wrong. He is violating a long standing consensus on Iran article to mention the recognition of regional languages. In addition he is reverting all my edits in the Persian wikipedia. I do not want to do "tarif"about myself, but I have more knowledge than him on the Caucasian issues, and chandta Pirhan pare kardeam. In addition I provided him sources and links and offered him to meet a Caucasologist at his own University. He is going on to attack me personally. His problem is that he has a too big ego and sometimes it is a bad thing!!!!! He really should appologize. I am not childish as him, but it is now time to get appropriate actions against him.--Babakexorramdin (talk) 05:58, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Parsix, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Parsix and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Equipoisenow (talk) 22:06, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Persian Wiki

[edit]

Dear Marde Tanha, duste Zanjani. Now the situation is better and more calm, I propose that you support me and let's change the pronounciations of the Caucasian, and central Asian articles to the good ones. These requires knowledge of cyrlic, Armenian and Georgian alphabets. Most users in persian wikipedia follow the wrong pronounciations or better said mandaravardi pronounciations of Ali or hassan or Abadullah. Most others follow the French or some kind of English/Finglish pronounciation. I can help to do it better but I need support. last time it was very tiresome, so I said goodbye to the Persian wikipedia. Especially when you banned me after the assault of your friend Mani1 to me. that was not fair! But if you support me, I am there.--Babakexorramdin (talk) 13:54, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have my 100 % support .i am your baradare kochektar . you and mani both are really assets. but last you didn't allowed me to finish my plan of solving dispute. your help there is invaluable .we need you ! we need educated and understanding users like you.but every problem has it is own way of solving .and for your dispute about Caucasian pronunciations i have one linguist friend who is steward and he is non-iranian who doesn't know both of you . So if you accept we will have his help in this subject . But leaving the wikipedia is not the answer .We are not editing wikipedia because of each other . it is kind of Resalat on our Dush.

so we should share knowledge in the World.--Mardetanha talk 14:45, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Marde tanha jan. I trusted you to do everything but still you banned me. there is some problems with mani's behavior. I do like his efforts but he should be more respectful to others. But Any way. It depends who the linguist friend is. What is his area of expertise. I myself read all these alphabets, in addition I brought sound files of ossetian, to which Mani agreed but still reverted my edits, only because he has a such deep hatred. As you have seen I have edited and written Georgian sometimes in Georgian related articles and that Kober, lets say the first man of georgian wiki even agreed upon that. I have a good understanding with Kober and have this implicit agreement that we do not interfere with their articles and they not in ours. If something is of mutual interest, there is always cooperation and all sides are happy. Unfortunately this is not the case with wikipedians from the republic of Azerbaijan. So your knowledge of Azerbaijani language is an asset in order to counter their claims. Many linguists can read many alphabets, but we can also ask a Georgian, Ossetian, Russian etc... who can read Persian. But again about your mediataion effort> I welcome this but mani says he does not welcome this. He was very rude in his suggestion that I do not know Persian and he should teaches me. he never appologized. I (not Mani1) appreciate your efforts and mediations.--Babakexorramdin (talk) 15:00, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi babak i have made this .please write your claims there then we will here mani's word .after that i will request some non-iran expert user to give their voices also be advised if you have any other known wikipediam i would be very happy to hear their voices about this problem. --Mardetanha talk 17:05, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dorud. Actually Im Kamran but thanks for good words. I found it a good initiative. Tell me where in Iran are you? If In Tehran I know some people from Georgia who write and read in persian too, you can ask their expert opinion if you do not trust me. In Esfahan province there are plenty of Iranian Georgians. Some of them can read and write Georgian alphabet,. I Can forward you to some if that is helpful too.--Babakexorramdin (talk) 20:40, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good Evening, please, can you translate in Azerbaijani the article Martin Weinek and Kaspar Capparoni? Thanks in advance!

[edit]

Good evening to you and regards from Campora San Giovanni. I write you regarding the articles of a note police television series: Inspector Rex. For better saying some principal actors of the international series. Martin Weinek (pronunced Vaynek) and Kaspar Capparoni. Weinek is the veteran of the Austrian series, now real member of the series international, as well as excellent agricultural and theatrical entrepreneur and an experienced wine-grower. Capparoni is the new entry of the series, but he has already worked and he works for international productions and with famous directors, I quote among everybody: Dario Argento. I think that the series will arrive within the winter 2008 thanks also to Rai International, that will be transmitted in 150 countries and in more than 70 languages, among which the Azerbaijani. Naturally if you will help me in this, me rechanged really the favor translating a biography or a geographical article in Italian and Sicilian. In fact on the Italian edition they are biographer and geographer. In attends him of one certain answer of yours I thank you in advance and I greet you from Campora San Giovanni, my village native. Hi Mardetanha, I'm a user at the hebrew wikipedia and during an update of the hebrew article about Jerusalem I came across a question about the name of the city in persian. Could you please tell me which name is more common for Jerusalem- "اورشلیم" or "بیت المقدس" ?

اورشلیم is equal to jerusalem and it is the most common name .though after your question here i asked several ppl most of them gave me shocking answer :D they weirdly looked at me and told : oh are they same ? we were thinking they are different cities --Mardetanha talk 18:36, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
:D at first I was surprised by your story about the confusion but on a second thought- this city has so many names (that are used in different contexts) so we can't blame those who confuse... 10x for the answer, trigger89.139.124.239 (talk) 06:38, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

Mardetanha, I currently have a problem with a user here, who seems eager to do anything when trying to halt the creation of this article User:Ariobarza/Battle of the Tigris, even going as far as to propose a topic ban on me on old accusations that are false, if you could respond on my page, I appreciate it. Thanks.--Ariobarza (talk) 06:08, 17 December 2008 (UTC)Ariobarza talk[reply]

Rollback

[edit]

Performing a rollback here was a little rash, no? While such claims should always be sourced, a death was very likely given his age, and indeed true. Since someone else confirmed it only minutes later, it was obviously verifiable at the time - all in all not "blatantly nonproductive, such as vandalism and nonsense", which is required to do a rollback (cf Wikipedia:Rollback feature).
