Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Second line (parades), disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Wikipedia uses its own Manual of Style, and specifically we use logical quotes for punctuation around quote fragments. I will revert your most recent change to this article. Thank you in advance for familiarizing yourself with the MOS. NOLA1982 (talk) 16:30, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for sending that. Although the rules for the use of quotation marks in that guide go against EVERY other grammar and punctuation source I have found, I guess I have no choice but to accept them. Luzichick (talk) 17:06, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yup. There are several WP policies that I personally disagree with, but if you want to be taken seriously as an editor, its best to abide by them. NOLA1982 (talk) 17:08, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
