KR580VM80A

Hi, thank you for editing the article! As for your "what new system?" remark -- it is implied that the nomenclature of integrated circuits was changed somewhere in the early 80's. E.g. former "IK" designation, which used to mean roughly anything that has to do with computer technology, was split into many different categories, one of them being "VM" -- microprocessors. Svofski (talk) 14:24, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

I didn't name the section "Trivia." I posted the trivia tag on an already existing trivia section. Look at the difference.[1]. It said "Trivia" before I touched it. Doczilla (talk) 19:52, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Don't worry about it. You asked a perfectly civil question, just trying to understand some edits. Doczilla (talk) 23:46, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:MarkSalzman.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 22:54, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Tribbles (game)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Tribbles (game), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Mister Senseless (Speak - Contributions) 06:14, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Tribbles (game)

Loadmaster, if you have some paper source for a non-trivial reference (like a magazine review), please add it to the article. --Craw-daddy | T | 15:57, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Edward P. Felt

I have nominated Edward P. Felt, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Edward P. Felt (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Orphaned non-free media (Image:EdFelt 1.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:EdFelt 1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:08, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

REDIRECT page: Michael Tyler

On 20 June 2007, you created the page Michael Tyler as a REDIRECT to Notable Usenet personalities. On the discussion page of that article, an editor asked why. I gather from that editor's remarks that Michael Tyler is an expert on frogs and reptiles (without an article on Wikipedia). It is unclear to that editor and to me why such a REDIRECT should exist. I am going to ask for the deletion of that page to avoid unintended REDIRECTs. Michael Bednarek (talk) 02:27, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, I can't remember why I created the link. Probably just confusion on my part, so consider it a mistake and feel free to delete the page. — Loadmaster (talk) 02:04, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

UseNet Personalities

Why did you remove my comments about why I moved Gharlane from "eccentric?" I didn't think it was right to edit something like that without saying why and now it looks like that is what I did. For that matter, I think your removing my remarks from the talk page was rude. 71.234.37.99 (talk) 03:46, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Will in New Haven71.234.37.99 (talk) 03:46, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Hyphenation

Dear Loadmaster: I was wondering if you had a grammar reference justifying the insertion of hyphens into words like nonzero. (I ask because the references I know suggest that non is a prefix that is generally not followed by a hyphen, even though, admittedly, some mathematical publications, especially older ones, do insert a hyphen.) It would be best if you could reply at Talk:Exponentiation#Non. Thank you,WardenWalk (talk) 16:57, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

The removed text is: "A late episode of The Rockford Files depicted other private investigators Lance (Tom Selleck of later Magnum P.I. fame) and a young Richie Brockelmann. The latter had a brief spin-off series Richie Brockelman, Private Eye, which only lasted a few episodes."

There is nothing there to suggest that the episode was intended as a Backdoor pilot. Rather everything suggests a normal episode which later inspired a spin-off. The episode of Cheers in which Fraiser first appears in not a BDP for his later series. Duggy 1138 (talk) 01:20, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

From the Rockford Files article: "The character of Richie Brockelman, played by Dennis Dugan, who first appeared in a 1976 series pilot produced by Cannell, appeared in the 1978 Rockford episode, "The House on Willis Avenue."" Duggy 1138 (talk) 01:22, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
