About the Guidelines at WP:FILMACCOLADES
[edit]I based my table on the similar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_on_Titan and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_on_Titan_(TV_series)#Awards_and_nominations
Are these in need of cleanup as well? I thought awards should be put in regardless?WillsEdtior777 (talk) 10:04, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
- I would say the same should apply to them too, though most of then entries in the above lists have articles. Link20XX (talk) 15:42, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
Honestly i still don't understand the rule,do you mean its as long as it got an article then its okay? Or do you mean to only include popular known awards? because for example Crunchyroll's awards and D-Anime are the exact same. Yet you removed it. Also do you mean Character/VA related awards?WillsEdtior777 (talk) 16:21, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
- The difference between D-Anime and Crunchyroll's awards is the latter is notable and has an article, (Crunchyroll Anime Awards) while the former is not notable and (currently) has no article (D-Anime). Awards should only be listed if they are like the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, that is, the award is notable and has an article. In that edit, I also removed awards for stuff like the music composer as this isn't really about the plot of the series, which this section should be focusing on. As for fictional characters, a couple of them have their own articles, so they should be listed in the character article rather than the main article. Link20XX (talk) 16:29, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
So because it does not have an article its invalid and not notable? That's really weird perspective. Since a lot of somewhat niche awards (Like Crunchyroll's) in other countries or Japan will likely not have an article.WillsEdtior777 (talk) 19:01, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
I've talked to other editors and i think i've got some clarity on what you meant,i have fixed the article now.Thanks.WillsEdtior777 (talk) 17:06, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
@Link20XX: Japanese articles does make them notable. What do you mean by not notable? Wikipedia guidelines for notability apply the same there as here.WillsEdtior777 (talk) 18:57, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
- The Japanese Wikipedia does have a notability guideline. That being said, it doesn't mean everything with an article on the Japanese Wikipedia actually meets the notability guidelines. If something doesn't have an article in English, I assume that it is not notable. If it does have an article in English, than unless someone can show convincing evidence to the contrary I am inclined to believe it is notable; this is a Rebuttable presumption. There are also cases of the Japanese Wikipedia having articles that were deleted on the English Wikipedia; for example, the Japanese Wikipedia has an article for Misato Murai, yet the English article was deemed not notable at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Misato Murai. Link20XX (talk) 19:02, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
Mistaro murai and awards such as Tsutya awards or Yahoo search are different, they're made annually and reported by different reputable Japanese sites. Japan's character award for example is by Charabiz. a data collection and analyzing company that is associated with the Japanese government. The assumption that if it has an english article has an influence on its notability is false as per WP:ARTNWillsEdtior777 (talk) 19:10, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
- WP:ARTN is discussing that even poor articles are acceptable if the subject is notable. If the subject is notable, then I recommend creating an article for it. That being said, WP:FILMACCOLADES directly states "Awards included in lists should have a Wikipedia article". It should also be mentioned that the Japanese Wikipedia has been criticized for having too many articles on pop culture. Link20XX (talk) 19:16, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
I request to create voice actress Sara Matsumoto
[edit]Hi Link20XX i suggest to create Japanese voice actress Sara Matsumoto she has a main role Towa Higurashi from anime: Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, can you create it? Source: http://kenyu-office.com/matsumotosara/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lovemuhcko (talk • contribs) 23:47, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hello and thanks for the request. Upon looking them up, I am hesitant to say they meet WP:NACTOR. While the aforementioned Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon role is certainly a major role, NACTOR requires multiple major roles. The only other role I found they have that might count is her role in Kono Oto Tomare! Sounds of Life, though I admit its been awhile since I watched this series so I can't remember whether her role was major. In any case, I typically abstain from creating articles on voice actors where them meeting NACTOR is borderline. Link20XX (talk) 23:56, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

Two other new articles to create for you
[edit]Hi Link20XX, i have another request: can you create two new articles about new anime? The first one is Chimimo by Shin-Ei Animation, which will premiere in July 2022. The second one is Housing Complex C by Akatsuki, which will premiere on Adult Swim's Toonami block later this year (2022).
Links for Chimimo: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2022-01-31/original-tv-anime-chimimo-revealed-for-july-premiere/.182078 and https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2022-03-18/chimimo-original-tv-anime-1st-promo-video-streamed/.183757
Link for Housing Complex C: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2022-03-17/adult-swim-to-produce-2-new-flcl-seasons-housing-complex-c-anime/.183724
Thanks.- Tebus19 (talk) 15:45, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I don't think I will be creating either. The articles for Chimimo really don't have too much unique and largely the same article. As for Housing Complex C, it was just announced, and said announcement is the only source. I would happily create a draft and/or redirect, but neither are ready for mainspace. Link20XX (talk) 23:28, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
- Have to agree with Link20XX, there’s simply not enough information on Housing Complex C yet for it to warrant its own article at this moment in time. Once we get new information on it, we’ll see if it’s enough to create one.--GalaxyFighter55 (talk) 00:27, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
I request to create Eri Yukimura
[edit]Hi Link20XX please suggest to create Japanese voice actress Eri Yukimura she has a role Cayna from anime: In the Land of Leadale so can you create it? Source: https://www.vims.co.jp/talent_profile_detail.php?id=118 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lovemuhcko (talk • contribs) 13:45, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the request. Unfortunately, I will not be creating it. While their role in In the Land of Leadale is a major role, WP:NACTOR requires multiple roles. The only other role I could find she has that might be significant is in The Magnificent Kotobuki. Like I said before, when NACTOR is this borderline, I usually abstain from creating an article. Link20XX (talk) 23:08, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- According to imdb.com she has also been voice acting in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime as Rain -- in Blue Reflection Ray as Yuma Yazaki -- in I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level as Natalie from 300 Years Ago -- in Horimiya as Schoolgirl -- in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? as Laurier -- in Mewkledreamy as Imai Kotoko -- in Wasteful Days of High School Girls as Bikini Girl / Maegami -- and finally in Fruits Basket as Joshi Seito -- and also in the video game Pokémon Masters as Yûri. I have no clue if that is enough for WP:NACTOR. See for yourself here: [1]
- behindthevoiceactors.com here [2] also lists A Certain Magical Index III as Tsushima and video games Azur Lane and Fire Emblem Heroes. Rava77 (talk) 03:42, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- I don't believe any of those are major roles. For one, none of them except for the role in Mewkledreamy are mentioned in the character list, which makes me strongly doubt these roles are significant. Even the aforementioned Mewkledreamy role is so far down in the character list that I would not consider it a major character (at least without having seen the series). Sales Table Creation
[edit]Sales Table is already present in other manga titles. This table better represents sales figures. Jit.cuet (talk) 17:51, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

DYK for Fruits Basket Another
[edit]On 17 May 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Fruits Basket Another, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Natsuki Takaya created a sequel to Fruits Basket to promote the release of its collector's edition? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Fruits Basket Another. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Fruits Basket Another), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

[edit]Thanks for the sources for that Darker than Black manga. I think the reception is kinda completed but I couldn't find the amount of copies sold by the first volume even though the other volumes are kinda noteworthy there. Is it an Oricon thing?Tintor2 (talk) 00:32, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- It's probably just that the first volume did not rank on the chart like the others. Looking at the chart a couple weeks after its release, it was not listed at all. Link20XX (talk) 00:53, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

Sir, that wasn't the section "Controversy", I understood that wasn't appropriate, in fact I simply wrote in the "Media/Manga" section simply the fact that the title of the manga was changed for the English publication and what the fans criticized about it below the Twitter announcement with the sources. Didn't you notice that I also wrote it differently? You removed it because you thought it was the section "Controversy", but you misunderstood. Thank you and I hope we won't have further problems after clarifying this, unless you want to start another topic in the talk page about this too. The Sweet Jack (talk) 03:43, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
The way it was written was neutral and Bounding Into Comics is a reliable source, as an administrator previously confirmed to me before creating my user name, and writing that the title was radically changed for the English release compared to Japan and the rest of the world (which is a clear fact) and writing (partially) what fans criticized about it below the announcement is not "attacking Yen Press" or "supporting the controversy", I simply strongly believe that this is a relevant topic that should be written for the sake of information and the last time I wrote it was fixed to be the most neutral as possible and without creating a section specifically for it.
Let's forget for a moment that there are other Bounding Into Comics sources on other Wikipedia articles either on Wikipedia in English and in other languages like Italian and Spanish. Let's focus on...Why? Removing the word "Slave" from a manga's title present really in every other global release (even written in English on the Japanese cover) and replacing it with a word that is totally out of context is not radical to you? — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Sweet Jack (talk • contribs) 04:32, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
In fact what I tried to do was to remove signs of bias. Anyway, we're talking about objectively radical changes, as I explained meticulously above, not subjective ones. — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Sweet Jack (talk • contribs) 04:46, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

Correct number of volumes for a series
[edit]Hello Link20XX, this might be a silly question but I was wondering which is correct or do we even have a correct way for this: When we want to say how many volumes a light novel has in Infobox should we count every single book including prequels sequels short stories and etc or just the main volumes? you see I was checking The Devil Is a Part-Timer! and I saw it says 27 in info box but it had just 21 and it made me confuse until I found out it had other volumes in the table beside the main ones (which we have this scenario in other light novel article as well). If you check the Revision history section you can see I have disagreement with another editor so I thought I ask a pro about this. If what the other editor says is right then almost every single article needs editing and doing it wrong and we should start with sword art online and change it to around 50 volumes in info box since the other editor's logic is based on counting the number of Individual books. last time I checked we are not counting books, we're counting volumes and I don't see why we should treat this article special. If the other editor's problem is with the number of books in the table then we should just create a separate table for other volumes like Strike the Blood and Sword Art Online. on the other hand what they are saying isn't wrong but it's not common in wikipedia in fact I think it would be the first one that I saw doing it like this and it doesn't make any sense because it creates confusion and in info box we are stating the number of volumes for The Devil Is a Part-Timer! light novel series not The Devil Is a Part-Timer! short story and etc. If I go to a book store and ask for the last volume of the series I expect Vol. 21 not Vol. 27! Parham.es (talk) 09:22, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
If what he says is true the The Misfit of Demon King Academy, Classroom of the Elite, High School DxD, Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki, Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody... man the list goes on, every EVERY single article is doing it wrong if what he says is right.(I thought I add more example to prove my point since the other editor just reverted my edit again, I'm not gonna keep this edit war with them until I hear from you.) Parham.es (talk) 09:38, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- Perhaps for series with spin-offs, listing the volume count as something like "21 + 6 prequels" (see Spy Classroom for an example) would be prudent. While it is true that the spin-offs and prequels are volumes, at the same time they aren't quite the same as the main series. Link20XX (talk) 13:30, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- Exactly, I even did that but again they undid my edit and said don't do it. Even High School DxD is like that. I suggest checking Revision history for The Devil Is a Part-Timer! and see their replys to my every edit.
- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Devil_Is_a_Part-Timer!&action=history Parham.es (talk) 15:35, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
I've always been averse to cluttering the infobox. The whole point of an infobox is for a quick and easy look at the most important information for an article, and in this case, how many volumes of a series exist. If you list it as 21, you are excluding the other 6 volumes, making it inaccurate. If you list it as 21 + et. al, you clutter the infobox, and it just looks ugly. I've seen articles like Spy Classroom handle it like that, but that's not really something an infobox should be used for. The infobox at its core is for a general overview of the information. That's why we have prose to further explain these things. You want to talk about confusing? The High School DxD infobox is about as confusing as you can get. Why should we force readers into playing a game of 'count the volumes'? The numbers attached to the volumes are essentially a marketing ploy by the publisher to organize the series' internal continuity. I don't think that's something Wikipedia has any business bowing down to for the sake of "accuracy" that only a certain fandom would even consider as important. The only thing I'd agree with is adding a {{efn}} note to specify the breakdown between main series and spin-off/short stories. Hopefully we can come to a compromise with that.--十八 23:02, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- I have no opposition to a note. Frankly I don't really feel strongly about this at all. Link20XX (talk) 23:21, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your time and explanation, yes a {{efn}} is a very good thing here, it's better to just say 27 and it's definitely better than what we have in High School DxD, all I'm trying to do is to somehow just point out that not all of this 27 Vol is the main series and now what you did is perfect, I probably even do it for High School DxD which as you said is confusing in it's own way which I totally agree. Parham.es (talk) 07:16, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
Demon Slave in Germany
[edit]English is the second most spoken language in Germany, doesn't count as an English-speaking country? 151.34.37.76 (talk) 18:13, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- By English-speaking country, I mean a country where English is the most spoken language, like the United States, United Kingdom, etc. The manga was not released in English in Germany with the Demon Slave title. Link20XX (talk) 18:31, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
Weird, I've read from users from Germany (or they said so) that they've had the titled localized as Demon Slave. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.34.37.76 (talk) 18:35, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- In the German release it was Demon Slave, but not in the English release, which is all that matters for the English Wikipedia. The only official English release used Chained Soldier. Link20XX (talk) 18:37, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) As WP:MOS-AM#Article names and disambiguation implies, we should list the title that "has contributed most to the work's becoming known in the broader English-speaking world." It doesn't matter how it is called in other countries where it is not officially published in English, similarly like My Dress-Up Darling is called "Sexy Cosplay Doll" in other non-English speaking countries. Xexerss (talk) 21:46, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- The example you gave is also a little more complex; at least going off of the Wikidata Item, the series was called "More Than a Doll" (in English) in German. Another example would be how Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin is called "Badass Cop & Dolphin" in French. However, despite the fact that these titles are in English, they were not used for the English release of the manga, so they have no place here. This also seems like a fairly common practice so I don't understand why it's a problem with just this series. Link20XX (talk) 22:39, 29 May 2022 (UTC)

Question about Spy × Family kana
[edit]I know we don't need to add the kana for Spy × Family, like Bleach. But funny thing is Naruto page has that kana although it has a Latin script too. Theodorethebear (talk) 03:01, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
- Naruto has the kana because its full original title is "NARUTO -ナルト-", whereas for Spy × Family or Bleach the kana is just a transliteration of the Latin title. This difference can be seen in the difference in page titles on the Japanese Wikipedia; Naruto is ja:NARUTO -ナルト-, whereas Bleach is ja:BLEACH and Spy × Family is ja:SPY×FAMILY. New article to create for you
[edit]Hi Link20XX, there is a new article to create about another light novel series by FUNA with a manga adaptation, can you create it? It's I Shall Survive Using Potions!. You can create it after you finished the Magilumiere Co. Ltd. article.
Thanks.- Tebus19 (talk) 17:00, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
- I admit that I've considered creating an article for that series in the past. The only good source I can find in English is a review from The OASG, which I am skeptical as to its reliability. Though it does have a manga adaptation and the author has two series that are already notable, so there are probably sources out there, most likely in Japanese or Chinese. I'll see what I can find after I create what I am currently working on. Link20XX (talk) 17:25, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Link20XX, thank you for your hard work! I'm reaching out to you because we've worked together before in nominating A Certain Magical Index for good article status. Searching other popular titles such as One Piece and Bleach, their infoboxes for other media are summarized in a bullet-style list. I was wondering if there is a reason why we two have kept Index to have a long infobox (this discussion with you is the result of the same situation I have with Girls und Panzer). Thank you so much for your time. Centcom08 (talk) 23:06, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- I admit that I never really gave shortening the infobox much thought until now. However, now that I think about it, Index is a big franchise, so perhaps it would be prudent to shorten it to only the core media (Main LN series along with New Testament and Genesis Testament, manga adaptation of the main series, and the main anime TV series). Link20XX (talk) 00:19, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Link20XX Alright, I'll see what I can do on my end. Thank you so much. Centcom08 (talk) 00:56, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Missing article to create for you
[edit]Hi Link20XX, there is missing article to create about a boys' love manga by ComicFesta that also received an anime adaptation in 2021, can you create it? It's Everything for Demon King Evelogia and it's also dubbed in English by Ascendent Animation.

Thanks.- Tebus19 (talk) 17:31, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I don't plan to create that article. I couldn't find any good-quality secondary sources other than the license/dub announcement from ANN. Others may know better places to look for sources but I haven't found any. Link20XX (talk) 00:15, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
Two new articles to create for you

- Alright, I will create both of them in due time. Link20XX (talk) 16:34, 28 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Link20XX while you're at it please add Hazure Skill and The Ideal Sponger Life, both have licensed Light Novel and Manga. Hazure Skill is from Kadokawa and both it's Manga and Light Novel is licensed by Yen Press. The Ideal Sponger Life's Light Novel is published by Shufunotomo and is licensed by J-Novel Club. New article to create for you
[edit]Hi Link20XX, there is a new article to create about another manga series by Wakame Konbu serialized in Comic Cune and licensed by Yen Press, can you create it? It's Breasts are My Favorite Things in the World!. You can create it after you finished the Your Forma article.
P.S., can you also fix the Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! article with adding the first light novel volume image?
Thanks.- Tebus19 (talk) 10:48, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- Partly done I uploaded the image you requested, but I do not believe the series you requested is notable. While it does have an article in Japanese, that doesn't necessarily mean that it is actually notable and I can't find any solid coverage online beyond licensing and serialization announcements. While its author Wakame Konbu has a convincing case for notability having written The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious and The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!, notability is not inherited from the author. Animation Director
[edit]Hello, I already discussed this with some other user but wanted to know your take, so here's the deal: One of the editors always adds Animation director section to each anime they are editing but as far as I know we don't do that for Animes, and it is something mostly done for Western animations, I was wondering what's you take on this matter. for example check this out: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tomo-chan_Is_a_Girl!&oldid=1135668309 I already undid the edit but adding the Animation Director section just makes the table look very cramped. We can't just add any cast who has done some work in the episode.
Another example is this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urusei_Yatsura_(2022_TV_series), Which has a bizarre structure. This guy makes edits based on TV Series rules which are for western animation and series. Check his reasoning: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Urusei_Yatsura_(2022_TV_series)&oldid=1113282933 As far as I know, we don't have this for Anime/Manga section. I believe this guy is editing based on Western Animation rules. Parham.es (talk) 12:28, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- I was discussing this here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Sarcataclysmal#Animation_Director Parham.es (talk) 12:31, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- Another example was this version of Call of the night back in summer:
- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Call_of_the_Night&oldid=1108129710 which User:Sarcataclysmal undid the edit in here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Call_of_the_Night&oldid=1108418487
- You can see other animes like this too:
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onimai:_I%27m_Now_Your_Sister! which storyboard is not in the table but the Animation director is used. This is completely against this Animation director. this guy is making edits based on western animation rules. Just check their edits, some of them are weird. This User:BaldiBasicsFan.
- This for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Onimai:_I%27m_Now_Your_Sister!&diff=prev&oldid=1130327938 this is already fixed of course, but it's clear that this guy doesn't know the rules for editing anime articles. there is no Original TV station for 99% of the Animes, that is for the western TV series. As I said this guy is making edits based on western TV Series rules. Parham.es (talk) 13:05, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- Just seeing this, Just wow, wow: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hazbin_Hotel&oldid=1129530618
- "storyboard credits are not as important as the writer and director credits" Alright after reading this I officially know this guy doesn't know about the eastern anime industry and is doing his edits based on western anime series like The Simpson and ... Just seeing his edits is making me laugh. Storyboarders are more important than animation directors in eastern Animes that is for sure.
- What is this reasoning? https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Campfire_Cooking_in_Another_World_with_My_Absurd_Skill&diff=prev&oldid=1132967610
- Or this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hirogaru_Sky!_Pretty_Cure Animation Director? Art Director? tables look cramped If we're going down this road and again I don't know what is this guys problem with storyboard!
- Just check his edits in Japanese Animes and you will understand what I mean. Parham.es (talk) 13:59, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- You can clearly see how his edits are not constructive: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hirogaru_Sky!_Pretty_Cure&action=history
- We have similar things like this on other pages, there is always an argument with this guy. The big reason for this is that his edits are based on the knowledge of Western TV Series and not Japanese Anime.
- 1. We don't have original and a single network for animes. but he keep deletes them and just keeps one.
- 2. Storyboard is very very important for animes which this guy is not agree with this.
- 3. Animation Director is not that important in Japanese Anime compared to Director, writer, and storyboarder. again like number 2.
- 4. Animes might have multiple TV Station since we don't really have an Original Network for most of them. again like number 2.
- .
- . Parham.es (talk) 15:14, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- Since this has become such a big and long thing now, I am wondering if I should have done this in the Anime/manga discussion page. Parham.es (talk) 18:00, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Parham.es: I wrote Animation director regarding the differences between the eastern and western production pipelines, you can use this as justification for removal most likely, as they're completely different jobs. Sarcataclysmal (talk) 00:45, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- Something interesting I would mention is that people have been discussing to remove both storyboarders and animation supervisors on episode lists. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television/Archive_36#%22Storyboard_artists/animation_directors%22_in_episode_lists BaldiBasicsFan (talk) 23:23, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
- Well, with western animation it's a bit different, since the pipeline is different. It's not wrong to say that screenwriters have more importance than storyboard artists on cartoons for example, since the screenwriter does parts of the job that in Japan would normally be attributed to the storyboard artist (or even the director). They're two different industries, so they require two different guidelines imo. But I think outright removing them is an inherently bad and wrong thing to do. Especially in Japan, the "episode director", for example, isn't the person responsible for directing which shots are used and the timing of each scene-- that goes to the storyboard artist. Sarcataclysmal (talk)
- I have to agree with you. Storyboard artists and animation directors have some importance at least, storyboarding is especially important for how the scene would go, as well as the timing, and the animation directors can have something that is in the quality of the key frame drawing. I understand that the eastern pipeline is crazy right now, but animation directors can still be added to episode tables in EN Wikipedia, as long as they're not cluttering or anything. Onimai doesn't have this issue so far, but there might be a future episode with lots of animation directors so who knows. BaldiBasicsFan (talk) 00:56, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Alright everyone needs to calm down for a split second. Edit warring and accusing one of making unconstructive edits is unhelpful. Regarding the matter at hand, I agree that we should minimize the amount of columns used used in episode lists (especially as a mobile user). I also agree that anime tends to work differently than Western animation when it comes to the process and I note that the storyboard artist is often credited in the opening and ending prominently (though that depends on the series). So, I would say I (at present) agree with Parham.es and Sarcataclysmal. However, I wouldn't mind a wider discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anime and manga. Thanks.- Tebus19 (talk) 13:05, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hello and thanks for your request! I admit that I'm not sure about whether this series is notable though. I did a search for refs and found a couple listicles in CBR, but these are not significant in their coverage (they also wrote about the anime adaptation rumor, but this can't be used). It is possible there could be sources in other publications (like those at WP:KO/RS), though I am not an expert in manhwa so I am not sure and this series does not have the same benefit of the other manhwa getting an anime, Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion, of being published by Yen Press. - I'm not sure if the series is notable. The anime TV series is most certainly not notable, though the original show might be. The Japanese article for the show has a bunch of references, which may be significant, but I'm not completely sure. However, the series did also inspire Chase (2008 TV series), so it may be notable. Although even if it is notable, creating this type of article is not my specialty and I'm not sure of the best way to do so. Link20XX (talk) 23:37, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

Thanks.- Tebus19 (talk) 15:13, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- I do not believe that The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for The Throne is notable just yet as after doing some research I could not find any good sources to use. However, for Magical Explorer, I found a review via Anime UK News, which I believe is generally reliable, along with a review in the light novel guide by ANN, which is over 100 words, so that should be enough. I also found a review from Asian Movie Pulse but discussions on that websites reliability have been inconclusive. Link20XX (talk) 22:29, 20 March 2023 (UTC)

Two new articles to create for you
[edit]Hi Link20XX, i have a new request for you: when you have time, can you create a draft for original anime film Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Kōjō (coming out September 15, 2023), and an article for light novel series My Quiet Blacksmith Life in Another World?
Thanks.- Tebus19 (talk) 21:55, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- Partly done I created Draft:Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Kōjō. However, I cannot find good sources for the latter; all I found was this BookWalker sales chart. Link20XX (talk) 03:56, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
New article to create for you
[edit]Hello @Link20XX:, there is a new article to create about a shonen manga series, can you create it? It's Kimi wa Yakamashi Tojite yo Kuchi wo!. Votbek (talk) 16:00, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
- Apologies for the delay in my response, but I can't really find any good sources for it. In English, all I can find are piracy websites or databases like MAL, and in Japanese all I can find are posts announcing new chapter releases, which are not enough to base an article on. New article to create for you
[edit]Hello @Link20XX:, there is a new article to create about a shonen manga series, can you create it? It's Chiisai Boku no Haru. Votbek (talk) 04:43, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- I doubt that series is notable since it has no page in the ANN encyclopedia and it has pretty much no major coverage in Japanese. Link20XX (talk) 01:55, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
New article to create for you
[edit]Hi @Link20XX:, there is a new article to create about a popular chinese manhua by Xu Xianzhe that has received recognition in Japan, serialized in Manga DX [3][4]
Blades of the Guardians has received an anime series and is airing from June 1, can you create it? M.A.LasTroniN910 (talk) 17:45, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I usually do not create articles for manhua and manhwa due to not knowing the best place to find sources. That series may be notable, but I'm not sure where to look. Link20XX (talk) 01:56, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
