Author articles

[edit]

An article about an author must conform to our standards about conflict of interest, neutrality and verifiability. Thus, an "article" that consisted simply of material from book reviews and a smidgen of biographical data from the book jacket copy would probably not pass muster. We need information from reliable sources about the author him/herself, not about her/his works. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:42, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hi Leslie, I noticed your questions on the new editors' question desk. Sometimes it's a little bewildering getting the hang of things here. For example, you may know now that in Wiki-markup if you ever indent from the left of any discussion or article, the print ends up looking really weird!

Like this!

I just thought I'd drop in, and if you have any questions that aren't too technical, I edit biographies of musicians, amongst other things. Feel free to leave me a note on a talk page or use the Wiki-email here if you wish. I hope you find a friendly environment here! Thanks for helping with the Wikipedia! :) --Leahtwosaints (talk) 00:22, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
