Copy and pasting
[edit]We run "copy and paste" detection software on new edits. One of your edits appear to be infringing on someone else's copyright. See also Wikipedia:Copy-paste. Doc Jame. What do you mean? I used quotation marks and referred to this public source several times. I also referred to <http://www.palgrave.com/us/book/9781403917232> and to various LinguistList postings that include the same information. These sources are public and available for quotation. Please un-delete the item. I worked on the item for several hours. The item introduces the reader to that book. You are discouraging people from improving Wikipedia for no good reason. - We require people to paraphrase.
- Copying large blocks of text even with quotes around some of it is not sufficient.
- One cannot for example upload a Disney movie and put quotes around it. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 00:23, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
Doc James. I can paraphrase it then. I did for some of it. How can I do it? I cannot see the page. I am new to wikipedia. Thank you.LeonidaBishop1 (talk) 08:30, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
Doc James Would you like me to create an improved page about that lexicography book? Just let me know. Thank you. LeonidaBishop1 (talk) 21:34, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
- Email me the name of the page and I can email it back to you. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 00:57, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
Doc James Emailed you as requested. Thank you. LeonidaBishop1 (talk) 04:54, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
Relation to the topic in question
[edit]Also wondering about your relation to the topic in question? Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 00:23, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
Doc James. I am a language teacher interested in lexicography. I read the book carefully and am impressed by it. Thank you. LeonidaBishop1 (talk) 08:31, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
