User talk:Ldmerriam
While we greatly appreciate your willingness to contribute information about your daughter, and we are thankful for the rights to your photo, there are several things that I would like to make you aware of.
- Significantly altering any information about your daughter is a violation of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines, found at WP:COI.
- Wikipedia has extremely strict guidelines about the biographies of living people. As a component of this, all information on living people must be properly verified and cited. Currently, a tag has been placed on your daughter's page indicating that this is not the case. I recommend that if you have sources, you post them in the talk section of your daughter's page, rather than editing yourself, to avoid COI violations.
- There are several wikiprojects that are willing to help if you have problems. WikiProject Biography has already tagged the page as a page they are overseeing, however there exist projects on actors and television as well. The people that are part of these WikiProjects are specialists in the specific types of pages under their projects' purview, and would be the best people to ask for help.

AfD nomination of Lucy Merriam
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Lucy Merriam. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lucy Merriam. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:12, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
The article Lucy merriam has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Tsumetai (talk) 14:17, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:LucyMerriamPortrait.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:LucyMerriamPortrait.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:31, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Your addition to Tagline has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 21:28, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Reliable sources
[edit]Hi! Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia bedbug articles. However, the sources you provided appear to be links to commercial web sites that are not considered reliable for Wikipedia purposes. Please review Wikipedia policy on reliable sources before adding more such links. Also, please understand that Wikipedia is not a how-to guide that instructs readers on how to get rid of bedbugs, nor is it a directory for readers to locate web sites where they can find out such information. I hope you continue working with us on improving the encyclopedia and look forward to future collaboration with you. Jojalozzo 15:30, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
