Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Sophie Lööf, from its old location at User:Lööf Foundation/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. TheImaCow (talk) 10:28, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lööf Foundation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ~ Amkgp 11:16, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

It was not my intention to promote a business or organisation, or to post inaccurate information. I wanted to put an informed article up about a woman who runs a family business. I am not being paid to put this up. This is my first time using Wikipedia, and I really tried my best to follow guidelines and do it correctly. I realise that I can do it better and need more verifiable resources. I will read more of the Wikipedia guidelines to educate myself further, so this situation does not happen again. I'm very sorry. I would greatly appreciate if you could unblock my account. Thank you.

Decline reason:

You have not proposed a new username as instructed. Once you have read the appropriate policies, such as conflict of interest, you can request unblock at that time along with your proposed new username. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:19, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You will also need to explain your connection to this Foundation. If you are compensated in any way by it(not just money), you are a paid editor. This includes volunteer work, as volunteers are compensated with the experience of the work. You don't have to be specifically asked or directed to edit Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 09:21, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

User:517bit, I do not have a connection with his foundation. My intention was to also write an article about this foundation to inform others around the world about what and who the foundation is. Through my research, I realised that the woman I tried to write an article about as well, is the Founder and Chairman of that Foundation. When I first created the account, I was under the impression that my "user" name had to be affiliated with what I was going to write my article about. I realize now that my assumption is false. Therefore the reason why I chose that username. I have put a request up higher for a username change. I hope you accept my request.

Accept reason:

I'm willing to unblock based on this (now that you're renamed). Please take the time to look at our policies on notability, verifiability, and neutral point of view. creffett (talk) 22:21, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have fixed your request for proper display(the "tlx|" needed to be removed). 331dot (talk) 14:45, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Great thank you. Will I also be unblocked? Could you please define "tlx", as I am unfamiliar with that.

You simply copied the template from one part of the edit window to another; the "tlx|" is coding meant to suppress the display and function of the unblock request template so it displays as an example on the screen in the block message. Instead of copying it within the edit window, you should highlight and copy the template when viewing the message, then open up the edit window and paste it. To put it another way, you put {{tlx|unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} when you should have put this: {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}. I've fixed this so it's no big deal. Your request will be reviewed by another administrator in due course. 331dot (talk) 08:25, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Sophie lööf

[edit]

Hello 517bit,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sophie lööf for deletion, because it seems to be a test. Did you know that the Wikipedia Sandbox is available for testing out edits?

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
