- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Koreafishnumberone! Your additions to Draft:Etron Technology, Inc. have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:00, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi! Can you remind me what part(s) or words/sentence of the text I have composed was removed? I will watch out for copyright and plagarism more closely in the future, thankyou! Koreafishnumberone (talk) 08:09, 13 June 2022 (UTC)

The article Nicky (Chao-Chun) Lu has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Koreafishnumberone. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 04:55, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Nicky (Chau-Chun) Lu
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Nicky (Chau-Chun) Lu, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. PRAXIDICAE🌈 12:03, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
Blocked as a sockpuppet
[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Girth Summit (blether) 21:35, 22 June 2022 (UTC)- Dear wikipedia review administrator. I have just received the news that my ip and account were blocked from editing and creating new pages. I seriously don't understand why this is happening. None of my edits are disruptive, rude, or inappropriate. I'm just trying to archive one of Taiwan's founding semiconductor IC design companies and related people, that has significant impact to the semiconductor industry to the world. I understand that before, with my previous account, Ricatayakahusta, that I have lied and boasted about I'm an employee of Etron Technology, Inc., just because I didn't want people to disrupt my editing. Now throughout the process, I have came to learn as an editor that wikipedia is more than just a place for people to put information on, but rather a platform of unbiased, uncommercialized, and free-editing wikipedia. I have came across encountering several reviewers from the review team, where they have taught me what ways I can improve my articles to make them better, and unbiased. What words, phrases, or things to avoid, and how to make them look neat and nice. Namely user: Modussiccandi. Now I have learned my lessons, I really wish I can start all over again. I will follow all community and editing rules, and abide by what is allowed on wikipedia, and avoid what is not. I will try my best. Is there any way my account and I can be unbanned? Sincerely, Koreafishnumberone and Ricatayakahusta. Koreafishnumberone (talk) 02:17, 23 June 2022 (UTC)

Koreafishnumberone (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Dear wikipedia review team administrators. I am Koreafishnumberone, the same user as Ricatayakahusta, a user that has previously edited pages such as Etron Technology, Inc. and Nicky Lu. Both of my accounts and my ip all have been permanently blocked, making me unable to edit anymore. Previously, my first account, Ricatayakahusta, was blocked because of COI, as I attempted to fake and lie about I was an employee of the subject (employee) of what I am writing about, in order to scare off vandalizing people from destroying the page I was editing, it was my first editing page so I had to defend it the best of what I can! Soon, I realized that such thing that may involve a Conflict of Interest (COI) problem, is completely unallowed on wikipedia, as wikipedia strictly regulates people that edit pages for money, or edit for commercial and advertising uses- in which I am not doing. I simply wanted to create an archive on wikipedia, of a scientist and the company that the scientist has created. As I am an electrical engineering student myself (and also Taiwanese), I really admire the scientist, Nicky Lu, who made several impactful inventions, advancements, and studies that improved the semiconductor business drastically, giving us the technological capabilities to build all these devices and electronics of engineering wonders today. I'm trying to put them in wikipedia in the most unbiased way possible. However, I believe my second account, Koreafishnumberone, was also banned just now, as the system or an administrator has detected that both the accounts are editing the same topics from the same ip address. I believe the main reason why my second account was banned was because I have not been editing in the draftspace, but posting them as articles and editing in the public, where everyone can see them, causing unncessary trouble and disruption for wikipedia users and wikipedia administrators. Some of the texts were also not professional enough, and sometimes even a bit unbiased, in a way if I was praising the company or the person. I understand that wikipedia is and should be a completely unbiased platform, free for everyone to edit and view. With great freedom comes great responsibility, and as a wikipedia editor, I believe I should abide by these rules and regulations in creating an unbiased and friendly environment by demonstrating professionalism in my word choice and sentence structuring. If I were given another chance to be unbanned, I again review all the community regulations to make sure I am on the right track with wikipedia's editing rules. I will also move all of the wikipages that are still there, back to my draftspace, so I can polish them up, and send them in review before selfishly posting them as articles without them being reviewed first. During the revision and editing process, I will also frequently refer to the community regulations and other wikipedia pages of related topics, to learn from other wikipedia editors in how they word and structure their content. Please give me another chance to edit, I really wish I can contribute to the community. In the future, I plan on edit companies related to the person, and also institutions and public welfare funding groups as setup by him, and the Hisnchu Science Park. Sincerely, Koreafishnumberone and Ricatayakahusta
Decline reason:
Blocks apply to the person, not just the account. Frankly, you aren't going to be unblocked to write about this person or anything to do with this person, and your continued insistence counts against you. Your best bet now is to go at least six months with zero edits, then apply under the terms of WP:SO with your original account. Tell us what you plan to write about instead. Yamla (talk) 10:17, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
