Reference name
I recently added a reference to Holby City (Series 17) about EastEnders' aftermath attracting 7.8m in overnight figures. When I went to record Holby City's overnight figure I discovered that it had achieved its highest figure since January 2014. I then wrote about this in the reception section, but noticed I had a double copy of the same reference. I then proceeded on to add a reference name, so I called it "Aftermath". I then deleted the second copy of the same reference on the episodes section, but now I've added the reference name to it, it has gone back to the Digital Spy article written about Holby City's figures from October. I've re-added the old reference, which means there's a double copy of the same reference again. Would you be able to correct this for me and let me know where I went wrong so I know what to do in the future? Many thanks. TheLostWonderer (talk) 17:22, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- I'm ever so sorry, June, but I realised where I went wrong. I accidentally added the reference name to the first reference regarding October's figure. I'm ever so sorry. TheLostWonderer (talk) 17:25, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- No problem, glad to see you figured it out. That was a good rating for Holby. - JuneGloom07 Talk 17:26, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

There are The Theory of Everything (2006 film) and The Theory of Everything, tagged for deletion. Shall I remove "(film)" then? --George Ho (talk) 22:31, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
- Oh shoot, did I mistake? Should it be List of accolades received by The Theory of Everything (2014 film)? I remembered there was a discussion about this last year (at WP:FILM?) about adding "(film)" to the list title if the main article is disambiguated too, but I totally forgot there was another film with the same title. - JuneGloom07 Talk 23:45, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

Norman Yemm birthdate
The link you posted when you reverted my edit does not work DrKilleMoff (talk) 21:27, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
It looks like 23 March was his birthdate. That would mean that he was 81 at the time of his death and not 82. According to this https://viaf.org/processed/WKP%7CNorman_Yemm But the Sydney Morning Herald gave his age as 81. The death place however isn't mentioned in either of the two articles so where is the source for that? DrKilleMoff (talk) 21:38, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

2 Eastenders Questions
You said not to add relatives to the infobox of Pearl Fox unless they were direct or interacted with each other but her father isn't listed. Since the father is a direct relative, shouldn't he be added? Also, Vincent's last name is Hubbard because Kim said her husband was "Mr. Hubbard". The Denise said his name was "Vincent". Should that mean his name should be "Vincent Hubbard"? 96.238.63.230 (talk) 04:38, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- If you're just adding "Vincent Hubbard" to the ibox, I guess it's okay. But it shouldn't be linked to the Vincent character played by Richard Blackwood, as it hasn't been confirmed that he is the same Vincent. I know that it is more than likely to be him, but we have no source to back it up at the moment. EE are obviously going for some big reveal and we shouldn't assume until then. - JuneGloom07 Talk 00:15, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

I know the article needs more reception info, I kept putting it off as I was concentrating on the episode tables at the time. Cast and characters also needs an expansion, and I kept looking for a source for the one "citation needed" tag, but maybe you'll have better luck. Tom Oliver as Lou Carpenter
I noticed on the Neighbours characters list that you added a note saying he is on extended break and that he shouldn't be removed. While this is kind of true, the actor has reduced his role to guest, meaning he is in fact not a regular character (like Lucy) and wouldn't he therefore be better placed in the recurring table, since he will be onscreen much less that he has been? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.219.158.111 (talk) 02:47, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- I added the note as someone included an end date to his duration, and before the announcement about his reduced hours came out. Lou is still a member of the cast and has been a regular for over twenty years, so he won't be moved to recurring, as we don't downgrade characters. - JuneGloom07 Talk 23:49, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

- @Dannysage96: I removed it once as it was an unreliable source. Have you tried looking elsewhere, perhaps the official website has a mention? If not, then I suggest using {{Cite episode}}. Try and find out which episode that picture came from. While you are here, can you explain why you removed this source from the Zoe Hanna article? Hi,
I'm looking for clarification on this. If you look at the duration for the article, it says "2015-" but if you look at the actress portraying Amy it just says "2015". Normally if the character is intending on staying, portrayed by field would read "2015-" so I'm looking for clarification. Is she only in Neighbours for a few months or is she in Neighbours for some time?--5 albert square (talk) 18:35, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- She's going to be a regular, so it should be "2015–". It was just a mistake on my part, as the other years didn't need a dash, my brain just didn't register that 2015 needed one. - JuneGloom07 Talk 19:51, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

Hello, JuneGloom! I happened by your userpage and was admiring your lists of GAs and such, when I realized - you are clearly eligible for a Triple Crown, probably at one of the advanced levels. RE:Redirects
I hate redirects, that's why, plus it's way easier. -- Grouches101 (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 11:18, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
- You may hate them but I love them. There are many reasons why redirects are (and should be) used. For example, an article could be created to replace the redirect, and the redirects won't need to be replaced or unpiped after that happens. If the anchor that the redirect points to changes, only the redirect needs changing, and not every single page that links to the anchor. Use of "what links here" can show you what pages link to that specific character, rather than the list of characters page, which is helpful if something else needs changing that only relates to that character. Therefore it should be easier to use redirects, plus there is a lot less typing involved in the case of redirects to list sections. –anemoneprojectors– 14:47, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

- You need to establish notability first and foremost. So look out for reliable sources stating why/how/when the family was created, important storylines the family were involved in, and what impact they've had on the show. Copying/repeating info from the individual character pages is one of the reasons the Canning page got deleted, so keep that in mind. Have a look at Ferreira family, it's one of the finest examples of a soap opera family page, so you could use that as a guide. - JuneGloom07 Talk 20:03, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

I've noticed a bunch of soapland notable characters and I was wondering if you had plans to work on pages for them or even if you could advice on how to start work on them.
The characters are Josh Barrett, Evelyn MacGuire, Nate Cooper, Olivia Richards, Aaron Brennan, Jimmy Williams, Raf DeLucca, Paul Coker & Les Coker.
Even if you could tell me in a way I could start work on them myself if you've no plans to work on any of them.

- I wasn't going to state my intentions towards creating new articles, as I've had some trouble recently, but we'll see how this goes. I'm almost finished with Evelyn's article and Josh was next on my list. Nate is being created by another editor and I think Paul is also being worked on by someone else. Raf was also on my list, but if you've got sources and development info ready, then go for it. I don't know if anyone's working on Les, but his recent storyline has definitely made him more notable.
- In my opinion, Aaron and Olivia are probably not ready (Olivia more so because she's only recently returned). I don't think Jimmy would be considered notable at all. Young children don't often get that many notable storylines, and there's not that much info out there for him because of that. Any fictional character article is hard to work on, but I agree that soap characters can be tougher. You've just got to build them up to pass WP:GNG and MOS:FICT/WP:FICT. - JuneGloom07 Talk 03:49, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- I do all my wikipedia article creation work offline, so I could try working on Les Coker and his storylines. I will look through online sources etc to bulid characterisation, reception and details on the cross-dressing storyline which is his major storyline at this moment and I will gather other information based on LC. Many Thanks. Kwilliams100 (talk) 11:25, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

Stooshe in a Lock Down?
Hello there JuneGloom07. We have previously worked on Stooshe articles, especially articles regarding their official singles. I noticed this article, Lock Down, was up for deletion and was not too interested. But they just performed the song on a high profile TV show, so I think it will chart and my interest has just been reignited. I do like a notable article with potential. I reckon we could improve the article and if it does chart, atleast it will be in good standing for the main space (in a bad way ATM). I noticed you commented on the AFD too, so at the least it is on your radar. What you say?Rain the 1 01:16, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hey, that sounds like a good plan. I did have a brief go at trying to improve the article, but it definitely needs more time and attention. I'll have a look for sources now. Oh, you'll laugh at this. I bought a copy of Danni Minogue's autobiography in a charity shop today, just so I can add all the Home and Away info to the Emma Jackson article. Your edits at love and friendship
Those were nice edits of yours at love and friendship. I just noticed this unexpectedly nice book cover and was wondering if it could be brought into the article someway: [1]. Stillman is having his own novelization of the film published one month before the general release of the film and perhaps it deserves some note in the article, especially if the book cover graphics could be brought in as well. Cheers. Fountains-of-Paris (talk) 20:22, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you! When I get some time, I definitely want to expand some of the sections. I love that book cover, and I agree that it should definitely be mentioned in the article somewhere. Maybe in the release section? - JuneGloom07 Talk 03:10, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
- While awaiting the opening of Love and Friendship later this month, I had taken some time to add two new sections to the biography of Jane Austen article and was wondering if you could glance at it to see if that article is any closer to a peer review upgrade nomination. Soap Downgrading
Hey. I'm not familiar with other soaps, and I mean no disrespect here, but it seems that Hollyoaks does downgrade, as former regulars are seen credited in the position that the recurring characters are. Amy, Rhys and Finn were treated as recurring characters when they made their reappearance on the soap, and on the character page we did show that, were we wrong to do that at the time, and in regards to Silas which has sort of kicked off an edit war between myself and an IP who is in the right? Yoshi876 (talk) 11:00, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
- You have to take a character's whole duration into account. If a character was a regular during their time in the show, then they should still be classified a regular in the list and infobox (which represents their entire time in the show). I'm sure I read a good explanation of this by User:AnemoneProjectors somewhere. I'll try to find it and link to it. - JuneGloom07 Talk 03:26, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

I created the page, First Blood and I have a citation tag, but for the writer, director and the two promoted cast members I got all that from the episode's opening theme. How would I cite that?
Many Thanks
--Kwilliams100 (talk) 16:15, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
- You could use {{cite episode}}. This source from The Australian can be used for the director (and the reception section) – [2]. Can I ask if you're planning on expanding the article? At the moment, I don't think it passes WP:GNG or WP:EPISODE, but a well cited production section would definitely get it there. Have a look out for sources that mention writing, filming or casting info. - JuneGloom07 Talk 18:26, 14 May 2016 (UTC)

- Yep, that's a good start. Can you find anything else about the new set they had to build? If it made it's first appearance in the episode then that info can definitely go in the production section. Holby City (series 17) GA nomination?
Hello, I've just been reading the seventeenth series article page on Holby City and I saw you made significant contribution to making the article the way it is today. Do you think it would be worth nominating the article for Good Article status? I think it's brilliant, well done on all your hard work. ElectrodeandtheAnode (talk) 11:44, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you. The article doesn't look too bad, but it does need some work before it's nominated for a GA. That cast list needs sorting out for a start. I hate that format (could be confusing for those not familiar with the show) and I'm sure it goes against advice at WP:HOLBY. Look at Holby City (series 1), that's a nice looking article and a GA. - JuneGloom07 Talk 23:18, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
- I see where you're coming from with regards to the cast list, it definitely could confuse those unfamiliar with the show. Any ideas on how the cast list could be simplified at all? Series One article looks super – a wonderful layout. ElectrodeandtheAnode (talk) 17:13, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi again June. I've come here, on behalf of both myself and Soaper1234, to see if you could copyedit an article we've been working on collaboratively? For the past few months' I've been working on trying to improve the List of Casualty characters page to a featured article. With the help of Soaper we've managed to finish a user page on the article. Before we go any further with the article, hopefully moving it over to the current main article, could you please copyedit/give feedback on the article when you find the time? Many thanks. ElectrodeandtheAnode (talk) 21:05, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- It's looking good, no more bold for a start! Right now, I will say that you will probably have to replace the Holby.tv sources if you want to take it to WP:FLC. Also, the notes section bothers me a little. Why mention that a character departed the series on whatever date, before making a cameo appearance? I feel like that kind of detail belongs in their article/list entry. Same with their previous occupations. - JuneGloom07 Talk 21:43, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- Out of curiosity, do you know of any alternative websites I can use to find sources which aren't Holby.tv? I mainly used that website as a back-up if I could not find any articles on the actor or character. I've always thought about the relevance of notes, to be honest. Would you recommend incorporating the roles into the occupation box then? And could I ask what you mean by the appearance note details being in their article/list entry? Thank you for your quick response. ElectrodeandtheAnode (talk) 07:03, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not sure about alternative websites, but make sure to exhaust Google first. I can check HighBeam for you if needs be, as I have a subscription. As for the dates, I wanted to know why there is a note detailing a character's exit and cameo appearance dates? The table should just include first and last appearance dates (no note). I think information about original exits and returns should be mentioned in a character's article or list entry instead. I'd also change "axed" (in the lead) to something like "cancelled" or "not renewed" per MOS:WTW. - JuneGloom07 Talk 21:56, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
- Would TV.com be an accurate source to use do you know? There's a few actor profiles on there I can use, but I'm not too sure how accurate it is. Thank you very much for the HighBeam check offer, I'll make sure I completely exhaust Google first. As for the appearance notes, I literally copied over and altered what was on the original article, but I see where you are coming from, they can easily go. Soaper's dealt with the changing of the word "axed" and has now replaced the word with "cancelled". Thank you again for your help. ElectrodeandtheAnode (talk) 21:08, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

Hi there JuneGloom07. John Adam here. I hope you're well. My Mum's a cancer and they are great people! For professional reasons I'd really prefer my date of birth was left off the post. In my fickle profession DOB really can impact on one's ability to earn an income - esp if you’re only a middle-tier actor with little box office pulling power like myself. I hope you understand. All the very best, JohnDgi11 (talk) 03:00, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

Sachin Joab - year of birth
Hello JuneGloom07, thank you for your message and invite to chat on the talk page related to Sachin Joab.
I have followed Joab's career for a number of years and saw him in a recent film called Lion. I also read that he is in another upcoming film currently being filmed called Hotel Mumbai.
I saw that Wikepedia has notated Sachin Joab's year of birth as 1978. I have searched articles, columns, reviews, interviews, cultural Indian correspondence and have been unable to uncover his year of birth. I have also checked the references on his Wikipedia page and besides a couple of them not working, the remaining references are unable to substantiate his actual year of birth.
It is for this reason that I have respectfully attempted to remove Joab's year of birth on his Wikipedia page to indicate that it is in fact unknown and cannot be corroborated by a valid source. I have also left a summary of the amendment when saving the edit where I included the above information.
It would be helpful if you JuneGloom07 could assist in removing his unauthenticated year of birth until verified. Alternatively, as you are well versed with Wikipedia you applying the removal of Sachin Joab's unestablished year of birth would support his page.
I appreciate your assistance related to his Wikipedia page JuneGloom07. Thank you.

Sachin Joab's DOB doesn't seem to be validated. Poorly sourced references do not display his DOB. RD 07:52, 12 January 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ReachDaniel (talk • contribs)
- @ReachDaniel: There are multiple sources within the article giving the same birth date, including the actor's CV and a Herald Sun article, which I wouldn't consider "poorly sourced". Can you provide reliable sources giving a different date? Perhaps you could contact the Volunteer Response Team. - JuneGloom07 Talk 15:44, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
Hi JuneGloom07, have you actually clicked on the references that you mentioned? The actors cv reference doesn't display his age. The Herald Sun reference again also doesn't display Sachin Joab's DOB. Those references explain other details such as the actors place of birth being Melbourne and so on but there is no mention of his actual date of birth. Where does 20th November 1978 come from? There isn't a single online article that validates Sachin Joab's age let alone the references used on Wikipedia. Shouldn't this fabricated DOB displayed on his Wikipedia page be removed until his correct DOB can be verified by a reliable source. RD 18:53, 12 January 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ReachDaniel (talk • contribs)
- The birth year was not fabricated in any way and was present at the time the sources were added. There's at least one source left that still mentions the birth year as 1978. However, if it's determined that it isn't enough (either at the talk page by a consensus or at a relevant noticeboard) then yes, the birth date should be removed until more sources become available. Also, since there are at least three discussions on various talk pages about this subject and we're not discussing anything confidential, I won't be replying to your email. - JuneGloom07 Talk 19:48, 12 January 2017 (UTC)

- @Soaper1234: The article looks good! You've got the bases covered (casting, storylines development, reception, etc) and it certainly passes WP:GNG. Now this might just be me, but there does appear to be a lot of quotes, especially little ones, which could be easily be paraphrased. I've been guilty of over using quotes in the past too, as certain actors will give a lot of useful interviews! I found some reception for you here: [4]. - JuneGloom07 Talk 22:20, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking through it. I'll look through and see what I can paraphrase. I have to say I am extremely guilty of over-quoting. Thank you so much for the reception - I will add this to the article. Soaper1234 (talk) 22:30, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

Neighbours characters
Would it not be a good idea to place the one year rule on characters like Lou, Lucy, Lucas and Stonie? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.232.203.107 (talk) 15:29, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hmm, the one year rule thing is something WP:EE implemented for their articles, and to be honest, I've always thought a year was rather excessive. Six months might be better. I have taken to commenting out some of the recurring characters instead of removing them, so they can be quickly added back. I'd maybe raise this on the talk page of the characters list, so more editors will see it. I don't think many people watch my talk page. - JuneGloom07 Talk 00:31, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

I just noticed that the discussion for removing years from marriages hadn't reached a consensus, while the discussion you opened was about removing years from step families (which I support). Episode Count
Thanks for writing to the user on the above. I will give them an opportunity to reply but if nothing is forthcoming, I will ask them again and then revert the edits. Personally, I think the "as at" date is vital, especially for soaps and continuing drama, as episodes are always airing but not all articles are updated after every airing. Thanks. Adamiow (talk) 12:31, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
- No problem, I want to find out why they removed the dates too. I have no problem if it's the result of a consensus at WP:TV or is part of WP:MOS, but if it's just someone's preference, then it needs discussing. That editor has edited since I left that message, so I'm unsure if we will get a reply. They don't leave edit summaries for their edits either, which can be frustrating. - JuneGloom07 Talk 16:36, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

They were regulars and deserve there on page
Jakeyy04 (talk) 10:13, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- Being a regular doesn't mean a character deserves their own page. You need to establish notability with reliable sources (no Back to the Bay, no other fansites, forums, blogs, etc) covering casting, storyline development and reception/impact. I'd advise you read WP:SOAP and WP:FICT too. I know Roman Harris was deleted after an WP:AfD discussion, so any article created for him needs to be vastly different from what there was. WP:YFA will help you with article creation. - JuneGloom07 Talk 14:46, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oh, you could start a draft in your userspace (see WP:ABOUTSAND)! It's what a lot of editors do. For example User:Jakeyy04/Peter Baker would be a place you could work on an article for Peter. Once you've finished you can ask an editor to look it over for you, before it's moved into the mainspace. - JuneGloom07 Talk 14:56, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

I'm beginning work on a Kirsty Clements article (why I can never focus on one draft and complete that before starting another bewilders me) and I was wondering if your soap magazine collection streches back as far as 2010/2011? Hence why there are 2 cast members departing. Phoebe and nate. But anyway i give up. I dont see how its unreliable. Everyone will look silly when the pages have not been updated it should be done now not after they have left. As i say the info on the fan page is correct if it wasnt they would remove it. They have moderators. Percy2345 (talk) 21:59, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Percy2345: The information may be correct, but BTTB is still a fansite, which isn't considered to be a reliable source on Wikipedia (along with forums, blogs, user generated content sites, etc). It's a shame, as they do have some good content, but even they mention that some of the information on the arrivals and departures list is unconfirmed. The pages will be updated when the characters leave or another source becomes available. Did you have a chance to read the links I provided? - JuneGloom07 Talk 22:07, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
Home and away 1996
Hi, I'm wondering if a wiki page can be added for home and a at characters introduced in 1996. To my thinking, I think there was 6 new main characters, Jesse, Liam, Stephanie, Joey, Casey and Rebecca Fisher (from 1989). Also a wiki pages for Liam and Stephanie as they played major storylines. I could do it but it won't let me :) thankyou. Jakeyy04 (talk) 10:43, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- I believe an editor (or editors) are working on such an article. I know the 1992 one is close to completion, so it's probably next on their list. Rebecca won't be included on it though, as she made her first appearance in 1989, like you said. As I mentioned above, you could start a draft in your userspace if you want to work on something (for example: User:Jakeyy04/Liam). If there's a fair bit of reliably sourced development info for Liam and Stephanie, then individual articles could be created. Being part of a major storyline doesn't necessarily mean the character is notable. Do check out the links I posted to you above, as they really are helpful. - JuneGloom07 Talk 23:13, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
Any egg on your face yet?
All the departures named are now happening despite you denying they would. Have you got any egg on your face yet????94.118.30.153 (talk) 20:40, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
- Nope, face is all clear since I never denied the departures were taking place. What I wanted were reliable sources for them as per Wikipedia guidelines. Have a nice day now. – JuneGloom07 Talk 20:18, 20 May 2017 (UTC)
DYK for Sam Nicholls
On 31 May 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sam Nicholls, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that actress Charlotte Salt likened her Casualty character Sam Nicholls to Lara Croft? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Sam Nicholls), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Mr T
Would you ever consider making an article for Derwood? I think he should deserve his own article. 82.132.228.111 (talk) 01:11, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- Probably not. He didn't have many (if any) notable storylines of his own outside of his relationship with Mo, most likely due to his recurring status. The only Holby character I've been thinking about making an article for is Jasmine. - JuneGloom07 Talk 02:00, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
