List of Central American and Caribbean Age Group Championships records
I just saw you had to make an administrative decision on an AfD for this article. I guess I should be fortunate that the result was a keep. As a fairly active wikipedian, I certainly would have defended the article had I known it was under AfD. I must have been busy the day it popped up on my watchlist. So my concern to express to you, and I guess the next step up the ladder (whatever that may be) is that since this article is on my watchlist, I should get notified of an AfD in progress. There should be an automatic watch put on the AfD for an article already in the watchlist, just as such a watch is added when an article is renamed. They are related subject. I might have missed the activity on one day, but repeated listing, a snowball of negative remarks, whatever activity would have tipped me off that something was happening that I should be commenting on. My question for you is where that policy request needs to be made? And rhetorically, why isn't it in place already? Trackinfo (talk) 21:05, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- The act of listing an article at AFD is quite technically different from moving an article, so I believe it would be fairly involved to add that feature. Also, I imagine that not everyone would want it if it were an option. It may be possible to add the feature you describe as part of a script, you may try contacting one of the active users at Wikipedia:WikiProject User scripts. Your input is needed on the SOPA initiative
Hi Jujutacular,
You are receiving this message either because you expressed an opinion about the proposed SOPA blackout before full blackout and soft blackout were adequately differentiated, or because you expressed general support without specifying a preference. Please ensure that your voice is heard by clarifying your position accordingly.
Thank you.

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that I mentioned one of your past closures in a discussion at FPC talk (Wikipedia_talk:Featured_picture_candidates#Overturned_delisting). I don't mean to throw you under the bus or anything - just trying to show precedent. Apologies if it gives you a headache. Best, Makeemlighter (talk) 17:23, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Stanley Holloway - Thanks
Hi J, thanks for the comment at FP. Having now lost my FP virginity, I feel confident that it's harder than I thought and shall therefore leave future nominating to the experts :-) I was/am the main editor for Holloway and simply thought I'd tried my luck with the lead image....but hey-ho! Whilst loitering at FP, I had a look around and some of the images are superb! I think, in future, I will stick to FA instead. Incidently, before I darken the doorstep at FA, I have Dan Leno up at GAC and it's in mid-review here. I have been asked to transfer three or four suitable images over to commons. Are you able to assist, or at least give me a few pointers on how to do this as my knowledge on all things commons is rather minuscule I'm afraid and this, I feel, is the last hurdle. Thanks again for your comments. -- Cassianto (talk) 21:17, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- Come back to FPC anytime! We can always use more reviewers and nominations :) I myself have made one foray into FAC, not sure I'll be getting back into that too quickly though. I transferred the requested files over to Commons, let me know if you need anything else :) Jujutacular (talk) 08:44, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks ever so much for doing that! I will certainly read up on what makes a good picture and may even nominate in the future once I known my "jpeg's" from my "png's"! There is one more thing you might be able to assist with if you have time. Could you address this concern from the reviewer in relation to the recently moved images to commons. Again, I'm afraid this is beyond my expertise and any help in this would be great! -- Cassianto (talk) 15:10, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- I believe I have addressed the issue, glad to help. Jujutacular (talk) 17:43, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your prompt and informative response in this J. Hopefully that should satisfy the review. All the best! -- Cassianto (talk) 18:01, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

Invitation to events in June and July: bot, script, template, and Gadget makers wanted
I invite you to the yearly Berlin hackathon, 1-3 June. Registration is now open. If you need financial assistance or help with visa or hotel, then please register by May 1st and mention it in the registration form.
This is the premier event for the MediaWiki and Wikimedia technical community. We'll be hacking, designing, teaching, and socialising, primarily talking about ResourceLoader and Gadgets (extending functionality with JavaScript), the switch to Lua for templates, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Labs.
We want to bring 100-150 people together, including lots of people who have not attended such events before. User scripts, gadgets, API use, Toolserver, Wikimedia Labs, mobile, structured data, templates -- if you are into any of these things, we want you to come!
I also thought you might want to know about other upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.
Check out the the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC and our other events.
Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page, here or at mediawiki.org. Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation Volunteer Development Coordinator 00:35, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
Info that I think someone would be interested in
I am not sure who to tell about this, but you seem like a good person that might be interested in the information or might know who to tell. Anyway, the FDA has uploaded a bunch of great historical promotional material and photographs onto flicker, which can be found here - [1], and they even have a category just for historical photos here - [2]. They are all free of copywrite. I thought it might be useful for someone to upload them to commons and I think some may even be worthy of a FP status. Anyway, I don't do FP much but I thought you might know of the best way to get these photos integrated into wikipedia and cleaned up. Cheers. Remember (talk) 12:01, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
- Wow, great find! I have inquired about possibly getting the historical set to be all uploaded by bot. I will take a look at incorporating them into our articles once this is done. Thank you! Jujutacular (talk) 13:05, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
Dan Leno
Hi there. As I'm sure your aware Dan Leno sailed through GAC thanks to your help and is now listed here at FAC. That time has arrived where a delegate has asked for the images to be reviewed. Would you be in a position to review them? I envisage a quick and problem free review as all issues were ironed out at GAC. If you have the time could you oblige? I'll fully understand if your a bit busy. Hope all is well. -- Cassianto (talk) 16:21, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
- My apologies for the lack of response, I am quite busy IRL lately. If I get a chance I will comment at the nomination. I'm not all that familiar with FAC however. Jujutacular (talk) 22:03, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Regarding a Watch Dogs cite
Greetings Jujutacular! Doubtful if I'm supposed to apologize, but I do admit I'm bad at cites as I'm still adopting to Wikipedia, and did not cite a reference of that Watch Dogs is set in the 2010s. This video states that on 2003 a man hacked the ctOS, later on in the video around 2 minutes the narrator explains that it happened 10 years ago, implying that the current date is around 2013 followed by the game story. Is it such possible to give the reference to a video? --Kizikky (talk) 12:13, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hello! Yes a citation to the video is fine, I have added it to the article. Since the video comes straight from the developer, it should be enough to verify this sort of information. Let me know if you have any more questions :) Jujutacular (talk) 22:40, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Credo Reference Update & Survey (your opinion requested)
Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:
- Link to Survey (should take between 5-10 minutes): http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/N8FQ6MM
It also asks some basic questions about what you like about the Credo program and what you might want to improve.
At this time only the initial 400 editors have accounts, but even if you do not have an account, you still might want to weigh in on which resources would be most valuable for the community (for example, through WikiProject Resource Exchange).
Also, if you have an account but no longer want to use it, please leave me a note so another editor can take your spot.
If you have any other questions or comments, drop by my talk page or email me at wikiocaasi@yahoo.com. Cheers! Ocaasi t | c 17:21, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

why did you delete the psysex page ?
........ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maggidma (talk • contribs) 04:38, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
- Greetings Maggidma, I deleted Psysex, as it was a redirect to PsySex, an article that had already been deleted by User:DGG. That article was deleted under the rationale that the there was no indication of importance, or why it should be included in an encyclopedia. Articles on Wikipedia must meet a minimum standard for inclusion that we call "notability". If you have any questions about notability, or anything, let me know! I hope this helps. DYK for Humble Oil Building
On 3 October 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Humble Oil Building, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Humble Oil Building was once the largest office building in Houston, and was the first office building in the city with central air conditioning? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Humble Oil Building. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

It's been on Commons for years now and it's vital for making media accessible. Main page appearance: Illinois (album)
This is a note to let the main editors of Illinois (album) know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on November 22, 2012. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/November 22, 2012. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. The blurb as it stands now is below:
Illinois is a 2005 concept album by American indie folk songwriter Sufjan Stevens (pictured). His fifth studio album, Illinois is Stevens' second based on a U.S. state—part of a planned series of fifty that began with the 2003 album Michigan and that Stevens has since acknowledged was a gag. Stevens recorded and produced the album at multiple venues in New York City using low-fidelity studio equipment and a variety of instruments between late 2004 and early 2005. The artwork and lyrics explore the history, culture, art, and geography of the state—Stevens developed them after analyzing criminal, literary, and historical documents. This release also continued a trend in Stevens' career of referencing his Christian faith in his lyrics. Following a July 4, 2005, release date, Stevens promoted Illinois with a world tour. Critics praised the album for its well-written lyrics and complex orchestrations. Illinois was named the best-reviewed album of 2005 by review aggregator Metacritic, and was included on several reviewers' "best of the decade" lists—including those of Paste, NPR, and Rolling Stone. The album was Stevens' first to place on the Billboard 200. (Full article...)
