Platform 2A

What do you mean they don't? I use that station multiple times a year, and 4-car Souther trains use it all the time. I've even been in a Southern train as it has terminated there. As well as seen them stop there. Crazy sam10 (talk) 23:25, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

I've never seen LM use it ever, so I don't know what would cause them to use 2A. As for Southern, I think that they may well be meant for 2A, but it hasn't been timetabled as such. There's been a good few times when the announcer has pointed out a platfrom change for Southern services from 2 to 2A. I've never known them to use it to come in late, however once when I terminated there I saw the driver leaving the train, so it may also be for a driver changeover given MKC is the termini. Next time I'm at the station I'll see if I can ask someone more about the whys of platform2A. Since they always put the 4-cars there I always believed them to simply be routed there, as I've disembarked there before quite late at night, so I couldn't see any real disruption occurring. However it could be due to a driver changeover, or overly long dwell time. Crazy sam10 (talk) 23:56, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
