- Thanks. I admit that I have been somewhat inactive lately on FAC and Wikipedia in general. Other business taking time, and the sheer amount of work that annual updates to the articles is daunting. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 11:05, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

2016 soft delete: Technical Assistance Response Unit
Hi,
As part of cleaning up the TARU dab page, I created the redirect Technical Assistance Response Unit, which turned out to have been an article soft-deleted in 2016.
Would it make sense procedurally to restore the article and then change it to a redirect? Thanks, NapoliRoma (talk) 19:37, 3 December 2022 (UTC)
- Eh, I don't think that's needed. Unless you want to contest the deletion or restore the content in a different place. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 09:39, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
- Nope. Just wondering if preserving the older content (which according to the Wayback machine was both minimal and unsourced) and/or edit history was desirable.--NapoliRoma (talk) 17:39, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
- Nah, I don't think so. For good measure, the article was created by a block-evading sock puppet too. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 10:56, 5 December 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Naboer.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Naboer.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file namespace redirect shadowing a page on Commons, and has no incoming file links.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 15:54, 11 December 2022 (UTC)

Cerro Blanco (volcano) scheduled for TFA
This is to let you know that the Cerro Blanco (volcano) article has been scheduled as today's featured article for January 21, 2023. Please check the article needs no amendments. If you're interested in editing the main page blurb, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/January 21, 2023, but note that a coordinator will trim the lead to around 1000 characters anyway, so you aren't obliged to do so. If you wish to make comments on other matters concerning the scheduling of this article, you can do so at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/January 2023.
I suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from the day before this appears on Main Page. Thanks and congratulations Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:10, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
Hi. I am writing this to inform you that I have requested the Resolution Guyot article to be run as TFA on a nonspecific date between February 1 and March 3 next year. Please let me and the coordinators know in the nomination template to show your support or if you have any comments or concerns about this.

Your New Year fireworks
The substitution didn't work... I fixed one of them here and then fixed the attribution here. I then realised you might have done this on other pages as well, but as I probably shouldn't even have done that fix, I left it at that. More importantly, Happy New Year! :-) Carcharoth (talk) 15:46, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
