We discussed these links last year and agreed that they are an improvement to Wikipedia. Please have a look at the conversation at User talk:Dammersk#July 2011 response. Please bear in mind though that your motivation as an editor of Wikipedia must be "improving Wikipedia" not "encouraging use of an external site", thus I think you should change your edit summaries (it is though very good indeed to provide a clear edit summary) and think how each link improves the article. I also doubt that it is necessary for an article to have an external link to every possibly relevant dance you have in your archives. You should concentrate on making your site searchable for that and choose the performance which adds most value to the article for an external link. A couple more for Ted Shawn may be OK as he founded JP. --Mirokado (talk) 00:03, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your attention to this. I understand your concerns, and will certainly tailor my summaries to each company/artist with a more encyclopedic focus. Do you feel it is necessary for me to revise the summaries for the additions I have already made, or can I utilize this advice as I continue to make additions? I have also run across many examples where I feel there are multiple pages that might benefit from the same video (usually cases where there are separate pages for a company and its director). In these instances, would it be alright to post the video on both pages?

I am working with my fellow Jacob's Pillow Archives/Engagement intern (username Ballerinailina), who shares similar concerns.

Again, I appreciate your help. Please let me know what you think. Jnnpurcell32 (talk) 16:56, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response. We can't change past edit summaries, if anyone is concerned about them you can link to this conversation.
Yes if a link is directly relevant to two articles it could go on both.
I posted the same on Ailina's page and will notify her of this conversation.
When we reply in a conversation like this, we indent by preceding each response by one more colon as I have done here. Please do that so that conversations are easier to read. Please have a look at WP:INDENT for examples. --Mirokado (talk) 17:36, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
